FX suggestion: Please make faster animations for Kheldian form shifts. They are currently way too long, awkward, clunky, etc. I know Arbiter Hawk said during i21 Beta that he was "looking into it," but an issue later there has been no dialog about that or any of the other Kheldian issues. This is important to us, please fix.

Quote:Like the Hami-O exploit that was never going to be fixed?
Check the patch notes for Issue 22.
And yes, quite frankly, Super Strength needs to be reviewed, for the same reasons that Psi Assault was.
Shh. They ruined AE, they ruined my HamiOs, my Peacebringer was broken before I got here.... Please someone hide this thread before they decide to ruin Super Strength too. -
I think the simplest answer is that the players and Devs all want what is best for the game. We are all here because we like COH, and that's what should be kept in mind. When it comes to exploits, no. No one should feel any obligation to report anything.
Are you paying the Devs to play their game, or are they paying you to test it? That being said, some might feel inclined to help with that sort of thing. I myself have sent in many bug reports, the most recent of which being the TPN crash issue, but that was only because it derailed my playing experience.
What it boils down to is, if you feel the need to report a bug, go for it. If you honestly think that you can do something to help make the game better and/or expand its longevity, and you enjoy playing the game, you might feel an obligation to yourself to do everything you can to support the game that you care about. Other than that though, see the second paragraph of this post. -

Quote:Don't want to seem disrespectful at all but for me I am looking for people who would jump at that. Thats the only one I want to do and it looks like I would be transferring from my server to do it too, because I have been finding people. 6/8 lfm.
The Kheldian Fridays event has a primary focus of having fun. I don't think Stone, myself, or any of the other regulars ever advertised it as something to the degree of, "Please transfer here if you have a specific task force that you would like to do with only Kheldians and you can't find a team for it anywhere else."
This is a community event, where all the regulars are good friends who happen to enjoy playing Kheldians. It also happens that quite a few of us are very good at playing our Kheldians, which is probably what earned Protector the "Unofficial Kheldian Server" title.
We managed to do great things, such as breezing through all Kheldian ITF's, Lambda, Apex, and Tin Mage. But we never encouraged outsiders to join us, unless those outsiders happened to be friends of one or more of us, like Dechs. (Note: We never discouraged it, either. The door always was and remains open.) We just ran the events, people saw what we were doing, and a few from outside the server chose to join us.
Sorry for the history lesson. I just felt that it was in order, since New Dawn seems to have taken our reputation out of context and assigned some unwarranted sense of expectation to it. Carry on! -

Quote:Well, you could always join the Triform fold. Perhaps, it is your true calling.

The Bright Nova is still susceptible to teammate griefing, and Human Form does more AOE damage than Tri Form can. The only benefit I could see would be a Human/Dwarf build that used Dwarf Flare (KD) instead of Human Flare but that would require instant form shifts and toggle suppression, and even after all of that, the Dwarf Flare would still be griefed by the KB in other attacks- I'd only be able to use it and hit max targets for the initial attack against a spawn. After that, it'd be back to the insane scattering. No thanks. -
Quote:Well the resistance value per target is an important thing to keep in mind for me because there are many times where I have only a couple of targets available to me, see: AV fights, Incarnate trials. It just seems best to me to cap resists off with the minimum amount of targets necessary.Clearly, we have not, nor are we, progressing toward the same goal. As I have said a number of times, whenever one chooses for something one chooses against something else.
I ask, how often in your experience do you find yourself in a situation wherein you have only 5 targets on which to use Eclipse rather than 6? As for myself, generally speaking, I am surrounded by FAR more than 5 or 6 enemies.
Quote:Getting an extra 2.256 resistance per target hit, a little KB protection, and a minor end recovery boost, at the cost of using an extra slot, while still having less recharge than my four slottage, leads me to conclude that our priorities are quite different.
Quote:You mention your Eclipse remaining perma without alpha as though it is a selling point. Well, to move from the mature to the childish...Mine is MORE PERMA .
Quote:I like my build better. Evidently, you do not. Just know that if you ever want to repent of your Human only heresy and return to the Triform fold we shall welcome you back.
Quote:Oh and about that last thing...
Hami Rehab is on the Horizon
Haha yeah. I wouldn't be so bitter about it if I hadn't spent 5 billion inf. (probably more than the entirety of many of the builds posted in the Kheld forum) on two level 53 Nucleos, heh. -
Quote:I have been thinking about transferring to Protector, as it is something of an unofficial Kheldian server? Things may not form for many reasons. I just wanted to know which it was. Lack of interest in that server for such a thing would make it no better than the server I am on so I would have no reason to move.
You mean because they couldn't form an all-Kheld STF on demand on a Friday night? We pre-organized the All-Kheldian Lambda trial we did on Protector and we beat the hell out of it. Everyone's favorite MFing Warshade, Dechs Kaison, even transferred over just for the event. No need to doubt the Kheldian activity on Protector. -
Quote:You can check out how I slot Eclipse here.
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=266652
And, while I recommend that you read through the entire thread, you can find a rather interesting exchange I had with THB regarding the soon to be former way in which he slotted Eclipse.
I suppose that I will see you on Protector tonight. Have a nice one.
AIB your slotting still needs 6 targets to cap out your Eclipse, which I still think is silly.Look at the last build I posted in this thread, it takes one extra slot for Eclipse but still caps resists with 5 targets and remains perma without alpha... And has decent accuracy values (though not as good as the accuracy values were with the Nucleos. Meh, at least I get an extra HP bonus now.)

Hiya, I recently moved my main to Freedom and wouldn't mind helping out with future iTrial badge runs. I play a 50+3 Warshade. I already have MoBAF, MoLam, MoKeyes, MoUnderground, and everything but the Nightmares badge from MoM.
I only have Tonight's Top Story from TPN so getting those badges is a plus for me... However, I'd be willing to help with all the other trial badges.
Feel free to send me a PM or a /t in game (@Septipheran) for future recruiting. -
Quote:There's a decent amount but not to the extent that I've heard anyone complain about it outside the forums. Personally, the only time KB really gets on my nerves is when it gets an enemy stuck in the geometry (Especially when said enemy can still take pot shots at you
)
I stripped down and retired my human form Peacebringer because I just couldn't take it. I spent a crapload of inf. on his build, got him to a point that seemed perfect on paper... And then I still hated him. I wanted to like him so badly, but here's the problem.
My Warshade solos 54x8 Rikti like they're a joke. To me, that's the 'starting point' for testing out a new build. When I ran my Peacebringer through Borea caves, it was just a nightmare. I mean, sure, he killed everything, but the scattering drove me insane. I had a constant AOE chain, but one of those AOE's was Solar Flare. That meant I had to be in melee range to use it, and it recharged quickly....
It's sort of hard to use a melee AOE consistently when the AOE itself (plus your other three, in the cone, the TAOE, and seekers) scatter everything out of melee range. It also comes with inherent Hover, which I used because I'd be stupid not to take the free defense. Hovering from scattered group of three to scattered group of three for Solar Flare isn't even logical.
So, in a nutshell, I scattered mobs everywhere which made it harder to kill them- I had to resort to using single target attacks in many cases instead of the fast AOE cycle I built for because the enemies were all over the freaking map after 2 powers.
It's not fun for me. It's messy and it's ugly and it doesn't have anywhere near the "flow," the perfect synergy and harmony, that good old fashioned Warshade destruction has.
Edit: Because I forgot to mention the LF crash. The HP crash is a non-issue because of the instant HP recovery tools available to Peacebringers.... But man, that endurance crash every 90 seconds is the worst. I can't stand it. You're always going to be reliant on blue inspirations, no matter how tough the fight is. Conserve can only be up every other crash. I don't like indiscriminately relying on inspirations. -

Quote:the only HO that i know that poeple use to enhance the wrong attribute is enzymes for def buffs when its supposed to only be defense debuffs
for me this is honestly not that big of a deal, i planned on using them for a few builds but i had almost none on hand anyway so not a huge loss
Nucleolus Exposures in Warshade's Eclipse enhance Damage Resistance and accuracy.
Ribosomes in a damage aura would be pretty tricky too. -
Quote:Sorry, that was a bit unclear. By "market" i meant wentworths/Black market. You can get a recipe for a "stun grenade" temporary power. It's pretty useful for annoying enemies, and it's a targeted AoE as well. (if you're a free player, sadly you can't access the invention system.)
Since you're level six, check the Wentworth's right next to the AE building. Once you have the recipe, and the salvage needed for it. Go to the south end of steel canyon (from the train) and the university where you can craft your recipes will be right there.

Another notable detail about nova form is that it gives a damage and to-hit boost to all of your bright nova attacks. It's around 50-60% damage increase (don't quote me on that I dont remember exactly at the moment) and the to-hit is good as well.
Aside from that, the nova attacks have pretty good range, so you can easily fly above a group, or across the room and hit them from afar before they can get to you.
I find this strategy very useful for nova form.
1. Photon Scatter, center of group, target the guy in the back.
2. Luminous detonation on the center of the group
3. Use the single targets to pick off the bad guys while they're on the ground.
When you get to level 8-10 grab radiant strike. Aside from the high damage. the Knock back from it is great against voids. It knocks them off their feet, giving you those few precious seconds needed to crush them before they can fire off an attack. (this combo works well with stealth, so u can sneak in and deck him)
Why are you using the names of sub-par Kheldian powers? This guy is playing a WARSHADE,not a KBbringer -
Here's what I'll be switching my slotting to with i21 (not considering whether or not I decide to work the Kheldian's Grace set in, just taking the HamiO change into consideration.)

Quote:Please stop trying to nitpick/pick fights with me. It gets old quick. So any new enhancements, changes to the game, people already know that nothing is going to convince them off making another respec on a character they continue to play. I suppose stubbornness or fear of respecifying or alternative builds that they might never have to respec.
-
Sure there is. I know people who have run the same builds on their mains for a long time and have no plans on changing them at any point.
Quote:Terrible comparison. One is something we know they want to do but will take art time, the other we know nothing about, and the third is a well known dev defined exploit they warned us they would fix.
And I think it's a perfectly fine comparison. It still comes down to game resources. They choose to use the resources available to them, of which there are many, to do things like nerf the multiple types HamiO slotting which no one was complaining about and most were enjoying, and nerfing the AE into oblivion which more were enjoying than complaining about.
Presumably the reason they are able to pay their employees to spend time on things like this is that, well, we give them money to do so. It would only seem logical to me that they used the money we give them to pay different employees to work on things we actually want worked on like my previous examples. Instead, they gave our money to the employees whose job it was to nerf things that were far from game breaking and considered positive by most players. -
Quote:Guys ... it's not like you *didn't* know it was an exploit. You even admitted yourselves that they'd get around to "fixing" it someday. Well ... someday will now arrive ... somedayâ„¢.
I just wish they would spend time fixing things that people actually want fixed (long form shift times, toggle suppression anyone?) before they start fixing things that everyone is okay with as-is. -
I swear the Devs have it out for me. Of course right after I come up with a final respec they decide to "fix" the multiple types HamiO slotting the next issue. *Walks off, mumbling to self...*

Quote:Enabling Free Camera Movement..will also help the camera not do the spastic auto-rotate..
I've been playing around with some of these things. I switched my settings up to have right mouse rotate the camera and it seems that the camera spastically auto-rotates less, but when it does happen it's still just as annoying.
I also don't like that wasd is tied to a "back view" perspective, instead of being based on the actual perspective of the character? I know I'm wording this very poorly, but for example: if you are viewing your character from a certain angle other than back view, the movement keys seem to work "backwards," instead of how most would naturally assume they would work. I don't know if this is making sense or not. -
Quote:At least you can tell mine has hair, your warshade looks like she has a nun habit on. Too much black!
Haha, her hair is actually brown, it's just hard to see in the picture. I didn't wanna make mine a lizard skinned, white haired old lady like yours.
Oh, and my main's Void costume:

Quote:If you use the middle mouse button and rotate the camera then release the button with the camera in the desired position it doesn't. Or at least it never has for me (just double-checked in game) and I don't recall ever fiddling with any settings to get it working that way.
Ah, that is neat. I feel like this should be a default setting- In just about every formal review I've read/watched about the game, the camera has been a point of contention.
