That's a pretty unrealistic goal when you're playing a Warshade. If you're doing it right, be sure to bring wakies for your teammates. You'll start to feel bad after a while.

  5. I have a Mind/Fire Dominator sitting in Praetoria around level 5 right now. Just send a tell to my global (@Septipheran) whenever you're online... Also recruiting in Protector Vigilance might help too, I just recently found out that not everyone reads the boards for some reason.

Sure, if you're able to run toggles... My tri form Warshade isn't, because they drop every time he changes forms. Vengeance is still viable (and used quite often) though.
  7. When I first read about this in another thread, I got crazy happy until I realized that I didn't care. The first impression I got was that I could have Weave without wasting a power choice on Boxing, Vengeance without wasting a power choice on Tactics or Assault, Aid Self for my blasters without having to waste a power choice on aid other, etc...

The new tier for the travel powers do seem cool though, namely the instant recharge from the speed pool. I really hope they decide to give Warshades and Peacebringers access to zone teleport and super fly.

There is litterally nothing I can do with the story. So, unlike the blaster, of which I have complete story control, I have no control other than how they merged etc.

I think thats why I deleted my last one to be honest.

Although Im going to stick this one out.

As I said, I am so used to my Dom now that a little different playstyle might actually be fun over the frill of story writing.

On top of being the father of MFing, Dech's Warshade also has a pretty cool story/concept thing going on.

Personally, I RP all my creations as paranoid schizophrenics who are under the impression that they are video game characters being controlled by someone named TwoHeadedBoy... They speak accordingly.
  9. Peacebringers might not be up to par with Warshades, but I don't think that means people shouldn't play them. If you enjoy using Knockback as mitigation and like a fast paced play style PB's are definitely viable. Warshades are infinitely more powerful, obviously, but I don't think that makes PB's unplayable by any means.

Question: You stated that Essence Drain is not needed but then you used it in your build. Any reasons why you changed your mind?

I now have two Armageddons that I hope to incorporate. I really want to get her not really final build done to optimize as much as possible. She's been a lot of fun so far.

    Again, thank you.

Essence Drain was an oversight, I just loaded yours and went to town on it.. I guess I missed a spot. If you want super speed, drop essence drain for that. If not, inky aspect would be infinitely more useful.

If you're really content with the build you're using I guess I should go into more detail about what I don't like about it and why.

Ebon Eye, Super Speed, Dark Nova, Gravimetric Snare, and Stygian Circle don't need more than their default slots. You are wasting precious space that could actually be used to enhance your main damage dealers, all of which you have gimped.

Fluffies are some of the highest damaging pets in the game. Nova form is the source of most of your DPS. Quasar is your highest damaging attack. There's no point in taking Unchain Essence if you're not going to slot it. Gravity Well is probably your strongest single target attack. Eclipse only needs 4 slots to be as effective as you need it to be.

It looks like you're trying to build for positional defense which is impossible to do effectively on a tri form build... The main point of IOing out a Warshade is to achieve perma-eclipse. Once you get Eclipse perma, you will notice such a huge increase in survivability that building your s/l defense up will be enough to make you practically unkillable in most situations.

There's really not much I can do to "fix" your build because what you were building for is so far off. My only real option to help was to make you a new one... Now that I've explained more in detail I hope it helps you get more out of your Warshade- It is an extremely fun AT to play, even on SO's, so it makes sense that you're enjoying yourself... But the point of an IO build is to get the most out of your character which yours does not accomplish.

As for working in the Armageddon set, the best place for that is probably Black Dwarf Mire. It might not be the best move to put in the build I made you since the 6 slotted Obliteration is keeping your s/l defense close to the 30% mark.
  11. One of the things that bugs me most about Protector is how dead Praetoria is. I have plenty of low level characters I'd rather not solo to TF level, I'll look you up in game next time I log in.
  12. My current build uses Obliteration in Dwarf Mire and I don't notice end. being an issue with it... It could be a personal thing, but the way I look at it is that mires increase your killing speed, which increases the rate you get lots and lots of food for stygian circle.

Really, the twins are what soured everyone on that season more than anything. Other than them and the forced romance between Clair and creepy-stalker-flying-boy, I thought season 2 was actually pretty good.

Season 3 was the opposite for me. I hated just about everything that happened in it. They took my favorite characters that were introduced in season 2 and killed them because...because. They hyped up this whole issue with the escaped convicts that wound up lasting only a few episodes. Really, that would be my biggest gripe with season 3. Whereas 1 and 2 were slower seasons that developed the story, season 3 tried the opposite and ran at a breakneck pace. As a result, stories were started and finished sometimes in the same episode. HRG had to team with Sylar. That could have made so many interesting moments, but the whole thing was dealt with by the end of the next episode. Nothing was lingered on or looked at, it was just wham/bam/thank-you-ma'am.

Season 4 I felt was getting back on track, but by that point it was really too little too late for a lot of people. It also, unfortunately, continued the "freak of the week" syndrome, though in "Heroes" case it was "freak of the season". At least the villain in season 4 was FAR more interesting than season 3's.

Though I will never forgive the show for killing off Adam, who I thought would make an excellent long term villain. The wily mastermind who can act both up front, or pull strings from the shadows. And then they killed Bob. And then they killed...oh, I don't even want to remember all the potential the show had going into season 3. Really, I hate season 3.

I personally think the show needed to develop a more "central" focus... I felt like all of seasons 1 and 2 were leading up to an ultimate super hero vs. super villain rivalry between Peter and Sylar, after they both had plenty of time to get uber.

A sort of "main event" like thing- Think professional wrestling. All the other stories continue to tie into/support it. But no, that didn't happen. Instead they gimped Peter and made Sylar so uber that the only way to stop him from taking over the planet was to give him feelings. Lord Recluse would be ashamed.

Okay, but the suggestion board is still here for a reason. This is a very big thing for me and I figured I would put it out there. I'm not expecting the Dev's to jump right on it, I'm not expecting a PM from Positron saying he'll get right to work on it and keep me posted, heck I'm not even really expecting them to read this. I just figured I'd throw my two cents out there since, like I said, this is something that is a pretty big deal for me.

Welcome to the world of MMO's. Yes it will happen again. it happens constantly in every MMO. Get used to it. The devs will always implement policies unilaterally and someone or some group will always feel they are being shafted because of that policy.

The devs do what they feel is best for the game and the direction they want to take it in. That means that there will always be people that disagree and feel like they are being screwed.
You make it seem like I'm threatening to rage quit or something over this... I'm not. You're being pretty confrontational about the whole thing. It'd be one thing if I was saying "Hey Dev's remove X thing that other people might like from the game." This suggestion is really pretty incapable of harming anyone/anything and I don't think your jumpiness was/is really warranted.

I know I've been giving the 'tude back, so I'll take this opportunity to apologize for being snappy/rude. I just sort of naturally matched the tone I felt was being set.
  15. I decided in the early 20's that I wanted my Peacebringer to be human only... Since around level 30 I switched to a tri form build to make leveling easier without set bonuses or clarion status protection. Now, my PB is about to ding level 45, so it is almost time to go back to the original plan...

My build goals were survivability and recharge without breaking the bank. Playstyle is kill/kill/repeat.

It would have been nice to work restore essence in, but that's not a game breaker for me. Overall I'm pretty happy with the way this is looking on paper... I think I have enough recharge to keep me in conserve power or light form most of the time, so I'm not expecting endurance issues.

So because the Dev's have shafted the community in the past in terms of an inventory increase, it means it will automatically happen again?

In that case, let me be clear:

    <suggestion>
Give us global access to all of the inventory slots that we have anyways so we don't have to waste our valuable in game time alting back and forth. Do this without any spiteful consequences or strings attached.
    </suggestion>

That wasn't meant to prompt a discussion on the limitations of Premium accounts, I was just using it as an example to make the point that the way things worked in the past is not necessarily how they are obligated to work in the future... Specifically in reference to our inventory.
  21. I'd like to reserve a spot for my Warshade on the MoITF & Apex runs if I can, and maybe the LGTF also... And a spot for my PB on the all Kheldian TF. This all sounds like a lot of fun.
  22. This was a suggestion for the future, not a request for a history lesson.

Regardless what the logic has been for petty and unnecessary time wasters, I find them to be.... Well, petty and unnecessary.

In the past, you also used to have to pay your sub fee to log in any of your characters. Pretty soon that won't be the case anymore either.

All I'm saying is that moving forward, the devs should really consider the fact that we have all these inventory slots available to us anyways. With the exception of inspirations, all they are doing by making us e-mail one item at a time between characters is wasting our valuable in game time. Inspiration storage actually effects game play and should probably stay how it is.
  23. I will never figure out how to make a video of anything, I swear to god...

I have my +4x8 Malta demorecorded but that isn't a real video file. Even if it was, every time I try to open it, it decides to rescale my entire resolution and make everything on my screen giant and wonky. It frustrates me so I close it.

I tried that FRAPS thing but it just doesn't work for me. It decides that it won't save.

I tried 2 other programs... One of them didn't work. The other one lagged me to no end, but I'm used to lagging since my computer sucks... I was able to play through it. I went to play the video back, though, and it was a very slow frame by frame long delay slideshow.

    I give up.

edit- As for my surrender, if anyone would be willing to come to Protector and record my +4x8 Malta video for me, I would gladly pay 100 million inf. for your trouble. If you don't feel it's worth it for that amount I'm open for negotiation.
