Good thought but i do have a circuit breaker in this house. We get the surges once every 6 or so months or so and on top of that all the rest of my devices work out of the wall or plugged into any strip. (monitor, tv, ps3, wall fan, alaram clock, phone, but i never run more then 2) It just seems wierd that it works when it wants and only affects coh playability. Im assuming it has something to do with the power being supplyed to the GPU? Cause this problem also happens in safe mode.

For a PC, I'd always go with a small UPS. (I lump a PS3, TiVO, XBOX, etc into this category.) It sounds like your power draw is skewed here. A UPS would help smooth that out, but long-term, you should have the outlet addressed.
Have you tried another outlet that's on a different circuit, and see if it works off the surge bar there? -

You know I don't get to play often any more, But it is nice that when I'm on I get tells asking how I am and encouraging me to hang tough or just making me smile and laugh. I have to thank you all. You help me keep my mind off the bad and put a smile on my face. I love reading the playful banter on FE, RF and RF2009, you make logging in a sheer joy. Bottom line: Castle, I know you're fussing with the numbers trying to make it more difficult/balance out the previous inequity (in other news, there was in an inequity?), but using LIVE as your testbed makes no sense. Put the changes on TEST and work it out there with the test server playerbase before you call something that's obviously a bug of scale a "working as intended" choice. LIVE isn't your new "test server, lol". -

As an aside: What about evolving the newspaper format (which as a traditional pizazz, I'll grant you that) and go social media with this - i.e., a Facebook group? The format would have the benefit of being a dynamic participation venue for regular members as well as official contributors, and has the advantage of being pushed to mobile devices. If privacy issues are a concern for contributors, they can simply roll a FB account based on their COH toon and go from there (so can participants, if they choose to do so).
Just a thought. It's something that's being exploited in other MMOs, and I often wondered why Scoopers didn't go this route. Discuss.

Still, that's all "stuff", that's not the "character" of your base, your SG, the friends you knew. It sounds like you had a good time making new friends here though - glad to hear it. I'd suggest coordinating this in private with collected volunteers. Posts like this are magnets to PVP hunters.
