  2. Looks like it's out. Enjoy.

    78 month badge: Purposeful

"For 78 months in City of Heroes, you will earn a power that grants an XP bonus for a period of time."

    The power: Experienced
"This power will grant you bonus Patrol XP."

    Power description: Self/ +Patrol XP
    Recharge time: 2 hours
    Activation time: 1.17s
Your experience within Paragon City or Rogue Isles has earned you the right to give you a boost to Patrol XP. When this power is used, you will gain half a level of Patrol XP, however you can only ever have 1 level worth of Patrol XP at a time. NOTE: Any Patrol XP granted through this power beyond the one level limit will be lost. This power has 5 charges.
Personal note: If you use it on a lvl 50 toon, it doesn't add to the patrol XP. Shouldn't it? A 50 can use patrol XP as debt amelioration...
  3. Ahem.

There was one that particularly bothered me, but I'm past that now.

I'm more disappointed by being rewarded for not being logged in with a particular toon, just to get a day job badge. IMO, it's a dumb design, rewarding players for NOT logging in a toon just because you parked them somewhere...

But to answer the direct question: Not that I can recall, no.

What time zone are you using as a reference? Late night for the Aussie crowd is far different from the Right Coast crews.

This, basically. And there's nothing preventing you from advertising the Mantis run on Freedom TF Chat either - so long as it doesn't conflict with the scheduled runs, you'll prolly find people who're more than willing to run this up. Ask Luna or E to add your run to the global channel MOTD if you opt for that route. I'd run this SF again, no sweat.
  8. Yeah, I'd do'd it.

Toon TBA though, I need to go through my lists.
  9. You know I'm in. Supreme Soviet, bots/traps Mastermind. (Heya Ruk. )

Man, I missed out on EVERYthing, this week. ;( Anyone take screenies/demos of the event, by chance? Hope everything went well!

There's a bunch of us. (raises hand)

Maybe I figured I'd only get the 1000 other threads with people that were having the Veteran Issues to begin with. lol

Thanks for finding it. Curse you Turg! lol j.k
Your listening to me wasn't very good, MB. I still got it earlier, but not by the usual 3 week stretch I was seeing. For the 75th month badge, I got it around July 21st. The newly-stated anniversary is now the 28th, so that's when I'm expecting it to go live. (And if I get it earlier, I'll still announce it here, as it would indicate there's still a problem with the badge scheduler.)

Here's my announcement post about the 75th month badge if you want to see an actual timeline on it.

  15. *shrugs* Semantics, really. It just woulda been nice to take the headstarters into account, but I'm fine either way. It's not like having a 3 day badge advantage is going to earn me moar dropz.

This, basically. Farmers have come back again, so they make the noise in AP, but go anywhere else and you'll find it's at least 80-90% teaming populations.

Heck, I handheld a newbie for an hour last night to show him how to get wings, from the market purchase to crafting with salvage. I'm so nice that way. XD

    Actually, we KNEW.

(j/k though, I actually just doublechecked the vet rewards page and noted that all of my dates were changed, past and present, to the 28th. Which is funny, cuz I started with the headstart weekend on the 25th, but who's counting in MY favor, huh? )

    (Still the prettiest.)

  19. Throw me down for this. Toon TBA, but I'm bringing Soviet over for these runs soon.
  20. Well, at least it's on a Saturday this time. XD I'll try to make it for the 6pm run. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Most of the time I'm on, I'm usually leading the team. My guess why:
    1) folks want to be able to quit whenever they want
    2) don't want to spend the time looking and asking people to come
    3) don't want to bear the blame if things go wrong
Basically, this. The problem is rooted in the paradox where someone wants to team, but they don't want to step up and take the leader reins to get it started.

I never have problems forming a team with PUGs on Freedom. If I'm lazy and just LFT, I'll get one within five minutes depending on the zone. If I'm forming, I'll get a full team of 8 in under 60 seconds.

The problem that the OP cites is basically a social one. It takes a minimum of effort to form a team on Freedom, but it does mean doing more than just putting up the LFT flag and hope that someone invites you to all the missions you want to play.

Addendum: Kudos to crayhal for stepping up and being an active player.
  22. Yeah, MB's run was fun and funny indeed, Shadowrush. I think we clocked in at 1:04? Bunch of deaths, but nothing too bad. We mixed up the last mish by taking out the AVs in order, instead of timesaving by leading them into each other... in all my years in COV, I don't think I ever did it "normally" before...

Great run, and thanks to everyone involved for setting this up and leading for the community!
  23. An excellent run, and AFAIK a 2nd one was gathering for a go at it too. Thanks for hosting this, Venu Sov!
  24. Valid toons for tonight's run:

    Blood Supremacy (Pain/Fire Corruptor)
    Coldest Daughter (Ice/Cold Corruptor)
    Jonna Hex (Demon Summon/Thermal Mastermind)
    Ultravonyx (Sonic/Sonic Corruptor)
    Dr. Vinzago (Gravity/Thorn Dominator)
    Omega Solution (Ninja/Ninja Stalker)

No real preference on the toon selection on my part, although I'd like to get some practice with the Dominator. Most effective one would probably be one of the corruptors, I think.
  25. How'd I miss this? I'm in for the signup. Supreme Soviet (bots/traps MM), global's @Turgenev. I'll look for you at the call time. Thanks.
