Now, the guides confuse me a bit because they are all I5 or I6 and as far as I understood we're over I7.

    [/ QUOTE ]

We are actually still on issue 6. For advice on Radiation I'd recommend giving Irradiators Guide and comments thread here a read.

I've had a bit of experiance with sonic attacks. Anything in particular you wanted to know?
  2. Tufty

    Snap Tooth

Ilservian is trying to organise the same sort of thing. See here..

Just thought you may want to know about it
  3. Our base isnt ready for raids yet, no anchors/raid tper etc, so we wont be having base raids anytime soon
  4. [ QUOTE ]
    Arena event tonight.

    [ QUOTE ]
lol, all of the SNHS? There is only a finite amount of people allowed into a base raid

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Arena fight not base raid.
  5. I've had limited experiance with sonics but from what I've heard the 2 mez attacks, sirens song and screech, are very good. So if you want to be more controllerish then they may be worth trying to fit in. I'd possible go with the 3 dmg'ing blast attacks of shriek, scream and shout, then the controlling powers of sirens and screech. Should be able to solo fairly well. With a mob sleeping you can pick them off one by one, open up with a screech so the first woken up minion is disorientated, I can see it working well. You also have the sleeping mob there kept in place in case you need to use an emergency transfusion/transference etc.

If you don't plan on PvPing much, with running 3 slotted tactics you should only need 1 acc enhc in powers.. I have 3 slotted tactics and only have 1 acc in my powers and rarely miss.. its only the occasional stacked vengeance nemesis that give me problems.

I'm going to be going with a kin/sonic once I get Tufty (dark/dark) to lvl 50 so be interested to see how it works out as I think its a fairly unique combination

I guess so, anyone who wants to design something (ideally it'd need to be done at the character creation screen so we can see both male and female looks) go ahead. Post the pics (obviously remember to make note of all the options selected) and we can all decide which one we like best

And yeah, I'll catch up before next week, atleast 19 if not 20 . Still in the TF team tho, does that limit me to street hunting?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah just street hunting. I wouldn't worry about catching up though. Hopefully the AV and end of tf bonus will be enough to push you up a bit. The ones that have already dinged 20 wont get any xp now anyway will they? If we don't then you should be able to get closer to us on the last tf mission.

    Team Synergi!

    Numina is 35 - 38. There's the 2nd respec trial from lvl 34.
We've got a variety of origins within the group so there will be a few contact store missions to do for the enhancements, although that'll probably be done in the early 30s along with the auras and 3rd cossie slot mission. If we decide to get on some story arcs it'd probably be good to try and pick up the Terra Conspiracy and/or Envoy of Shadows for the AV's.
  9. Tufty

    Team Synergi!

Pretty sure the costume slot mission is 20 tsoo so, as you said, that'll be easy to complete. The cape mission if visit/talk to x a few times so that bit will also be easy to do together, its just the final Lost mission we will have to do a few times in a row.

We wont make the same mistake as we did with the hollows so its probably best only 1 person start the striga contacts. Croatoa arc starts at 25, so thats possibly another good one we can try and get onto and finish off with katie hannon tf. We'll have to see what the lvl'in speed is like through striga though cos they do cross over.

    Team Synergi!

I hit 20 last night, obviously with sound missing last night he'll be playing catch up. Maybe next week we can run through the costume slot and cape missions for those that have reached 20 and hope its enough to push the rest up aswell.
  11. Tufty

    Team Synergi!

and that'd be Synapse complete (including taking down babbage twice) in under 3.5 hrs

Just have to get everyone up to lvl 20 in the next complete of weeks then we can start Sister Psyche and her wonderful freakshow

We also have cape and 2nd costume slot missions to do. For the 2nd costume slot shall we have some kind of design a uniform comp?
  12. I'm guessing the idea is to limit the amount of IoPs on the servers so they are fought over more often.

    [ QUOTE ]
and once it hits the live servers, it will only be available at limited times.

This is from a post from Amboss when the CoP was first put on test server so it is WAI.

except when I've got a kineticist - Speed Boost, Fulcrum Shift and Tranference ftw

Tufty usually has access to that

    G-Force

That is true. Its probably why I love blackstar so much

Darkest night is ok at best with 6 slots. From its base it has poor accuracy, poor duration and a long recharge time. Probably needs 15 slots to make it good.

    [/ QUOTE ] I really hope thats a typo

    [/ QUOTE ]

lol.. omg yes! I meant dark pit! You must take darkest night!
  15. [ QUOTE ]
Would love to have you on board Tufty, if that's why you were inquiring!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Err... have to go down as a maybe at the moment. I made Pyroshok, fire/elec if you couldn't guess from the name , the other day so I could always use him. Although at the moment I can't really sign up for anything long term as I don't know how much longer I will be around for come July time. Could be away for 2wks, could be 6, could be forever. So at the moment its a yes I'm interested in joining you but no I probably wont. But anyway I'm rambling now.. its what happens when you are bored.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
And you have to be hardcore Ranger

    [/ QUOTE ]

So is this invite only open to current members of the Precision Rangers?
  17. Congrats Ils! Sorry I missed the ding... damn anniversaries!
  18. I'd agree with Phrox on the ones to definately avoid. Black Hole is useless. Life Drain? Why bother when you have twilight grasp to heal you. Darkest night is ok at best with 6 slots. From its base it has poor accuracy, poor duration and a long recharge time. Probably needs 15 slots to make it good. Torrent, I've personally never been a fan of knockback and I'm sure if you are teaming with brutes they wont thank you for knocking there targets away when they are trying to build up some fury. If you intend to solo it could be useful for getting a mob out of melee range, although I'd say immobilising them with tentacles or fearsome stare and backing up is the better option and you also don't really want to be knocking things out of your tar patch.

Moonbeam and blackstar is where I'd disagree though. Personally I think they both depend on your play style. Dark isn't reknowned for its damage and moonbeam is your highest dmg attack (with the exception of the nuke). Yes it is interruptible but with all your to hit debuffs happening as long as you have your target locked down you can reliably use it mid fight.

Blackstar is the final blast power and your nuke. I'm a defender and I love it. If you want to be a support character, no its probably not worth taking due to the downtime, although use it in the right situations and it is fantastic. For the last 2 levels or so I've been using the play style of herding and nuking. Against the right mobs you can easily gather up 2 or 3 groups, herd them up, lay down a tar patch, activate black star and job done. If you are unsure about it I'd recommend trying it out first and then if you don't like it respec it out.

Other things to note, you should slot tar patch with recharges before slows and make use of the -res. The effect stacks so if you have a long fight you can probably squeeze in a couple to lower the mobs resistance, or you at least want it available at the start of every fight. Slot shadowfall with dmg res and end red, dont bother with def buffs. The defence is too small to notice to be worth slooting, but it does offer psi resistance which is very rare so if you can, 3 slot it with dmg res. Howling twilight is more than a rez, although I only use it for rez it can be used as a very good disorient control power (better than dark pit), if you have slots spare and don't know what to do with them, perhaps consider slotting this (if taken) with recharges and disorients.

Thats all I can think of for now, although all my experience of a dark/dark is with a defender, any more questions feel free to ask

I'm happy to go until 9pm or last mission, whichever comes first. Can't see any reason why I wont be there next week to finish off.
  20. I never took gamblers cut on my kat scrapper. With hasten you can get away with just cycling through SotW, FS and DA. although without hasten another attack would of come in useful. If you're the sort of person that likes to plan a build to 24-30 then use a respec etc. I'd recommend taking GC just as a back up attack chain filler then respec it out as soon as Lotus Drops/Soaring Dragon becomes available.

We all back to normal this week? I thought I may have to miss this week, 4 yr anniversary today but cant go out tonite so gf wanted to go out tomorrow! Luckily I managed to convince her tough that shes got a busy day on Wednesday and shouldn't be out late on Tuesday drinking. So going out Weds instead So I will be there as normal
  22. [ QUOTE ]
have to disagree there. First of all, if a SG mainly had lvl 35+ members when the prestige system went live, they prolly wont have earned much prestige as they wouldnt gain any inf if they went to prestige mode. My WS was 39 when prestige was introduced, only once played him in SG mode during a tf, but quickly turned back to normal mode for the inf. That said, I was on almost every day.

Second of all, some SGs dont really intend on doing base raids or building a base at all, there's no need to gain prestige if you dont want a base. Doesnt mean the SG isnt active.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Good points. Didn't really think of it in that way

    [ QUOTE ]
Bout activity on forums, I'm really the only member of our SG to frequently visit the forums. However we still are a tight-knit community and got our own forum to talk on. An active player doesnt necessarily have to be a forumite.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I know this is normally the case with alot of people. Many of the SNHS'ers and other coalition people arn't on the forums. But those that are, are generally helpful etc so I didn't necessarily means the quantity but the quality, so to speak. In your case, as you said not many people are forumites from your SG, but you are and from what I remember you are always polite and helpful on the boards so this could give an indication as to what to expect from your supergroup.

    [ QUOTE ]
If you really want a good indication of what a SG is like, team up with people, find some regulars, and ask them bout their SG.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Agreed it probably is the best way, get that friends list growing and ask about their SGs. But it is also the way that probably takes the longest to find what you are looking for
  23. Still hoping to get online about 10:30 so I'll shout out over coalition chat when I arrive and see if you are still going. Hope to see a few of you online later then
