Hi...I'm close to lvl8 with my Katana/SR scrapper and would appreciate some some on what powers to get for the next 10 lvls or so. I'm probably going to get SS as I've had TP and Fly on my ALTs if that helps?

For SR:
Clicky

Katana power picks are more a case of playstyle, theres no really bad powers in it.

Would really choose SJ over SS but that's your personal preference, Combat Jumping aids slightly with your defence, whereas Hasten isn't really needed except for Elude much later on. When you get Quickness, you'll definately have a constant attack rate.

Divine Avalanche is a must. Hope you incorporated Fitness into your build because you probably know how much SR sucks up endurence, especially using a Katana. So getting stamina at 20 would help a great deal.

The Lotus Drops is a decent AoE attack so consider taking that. Passive defence would be good but I got 2 out of 3 of these at about the level 28 margin.

Other then that, knock yourself out.

Hope that helps.

EDIT - Knew I forgot one thing, Practise Brawler is also a MUST!

Captain_Cliche's guide is very useful.

Gambler's Cut?

I'd never take gamblers cut personaly, but people who don;t mind respecing when they get higher up might find it useful early on. I suppose.

Why take Gambler's Cut when you can take Flashing Steel?

Why not take all three of the starting attacks at low levels?

I did.

I will respec GC out evetually when I have access to the higher level attacks, but until then I think it's a must.

But you have very useful Powers available in the SR set to make Gambler's Cut a luxary rather then a need.

Guess it's really down to personal preference.

I never took gamblers cut on my kat scrapper. With hasten you can get away with just cycling through SotW, FS and DA. although without hasten another attack would of come in useful. If you're the sort of person that likes to plan a build to 24-30 then use a respec etc. I'd recommend taking GC just as a back up attack chain filler then respec it out as soon as Lotus Drops/Soaring Dragon becomes available.

That's my plan at least, yup.
