The ambushes chases you if you run. But tbh have not seen anywhere that you are responsible for clearing them if you do click on the door. I have all the badges from the first time this event was run and was really after the cossies only for the next 13 days, and killing stuff on my emp isnt to fast, but my ss is :P

On the Praetorian AV Shadowhunter does it really affect his regen if he is pulled into the water?

LOL now that's a new one.

It's an old myth, along with 'DON'T TOUCH THE GLOWIES!' in Hero Respecs, and 'PVP is ruining my game'

But PvP is ruining my game !!! -
Seconded for the Super Strength for Scrappers. Also Energy/Energy and Elec/Elec
Would sort out my next 5 alts or so

Yes I did and then reevaluated and checked clockspeeds and that is what i was refering to in the last post.
-
And that is my point. For less than £10 more for what you waould pay for a 8800GT you can get a 9800GT with a much faster clock speed.
Am gonna stop here because you seem to want people to buy old stock that is too expensive for what is available for similar money. -
But they are not Cass. For a couple of extra pounds you can get a much faster 9800GT and for the most expensive 8800GT on the links I posted for the same money you can get a 9800GT that is loads faster.
I honestly dont understand you reccomending the 8800GTs over the 9800GTs. Even if it is the same chip there must have been ample revisions made to increase proformance or reliablility to warrant them being tagged as the next series. -
Well I wouldn't buy a discontiued model of card. Especially not one that has been superseeded by two more series.

Shouldn't this be in the technical section?
Back to the question. There is not a lot of difference between the two cars except the 8800GT has been discontinued but saying that you can still get a 9800GT for cheaper than an equivalent 8800GT.
See here for 8800 and here for 9800.

Uh, not according to your links you can't, same price to much more expensive...
[/ QUOTE ]
Had a look at my links and seems you need a little help. I added the VAT and sorted by price and found the following
8800GT for £99.86
and equivalent 9800GT for £93.84
Looks cheaper to me
Edit: Just looked lower and found 9800GT for £89.59
Getting a 9800GT would leave you better suited to go SLI at a later point aswell due to the discontinued factor.
For less than £10 more than the 8800GT you can get this 9800GT with 1GB of onboard RAM. -

This comes from another thread.
If the servers moved or something (basically a situation arises that mean you may have to rename your characters, and this is a may) and your mains name wasn't available, would you carry on playing with a new name or would you cancel your subs in a fit of rage?
Or would you cancel then rethink and come back later but keep it quiet?
I would stay and forge a new name for myself that dwarfed the reputation of the name stealer -

As for the PVP zones, yes, doing PVE content there will be harder.

So does this mean the PvP Zones will now be emptier? -
I like this idea.
Signed with a big yes from me. The small issues can be worked out. -
Try the first mission from Julius the Troll on Invinc as it will spawn a fair few of them....hopefully. The mission is called defeat all creatures in cave, and is a right pig.

After teaming with a SG team we wondered about the possibilty of having some emotes that interact with the Vet Pets. I would think it would be nice to have a set that is a generic command that the pet owner could use to interact with these.
I.e. type /e vetpetinteract and then your character will oil the mech man, or wind up the clockwork, or tell off the devil, or smack the cheeky redcap. Maybe also have /e vetpetfeed and the redcap and devil get given some food and the clockwork and mechman something else......maybe hooked up to a solar panel thingy (like a large freeloader device).
Lastly I would like to be able to discipline the vet pets with a cheeky clip round the ear for the live pets and using a remote control to maybe make the robotic ones sulk or hit themselves.
It would be nice from an RP point of view and a little comic effect.
Not usefull at all to the game and would need time spent on it so probably not ever gonna happen, but what other Vet Pet emotes would you like to see? -
I signed up to the RSS feed for this on one of my vista side bar gadgets but deleted it when it didnt display EU servers.
Please can we have a server status page.

I wouldn't bet any of my money, not on something as unlikely that the people that have made these decisions are reading this post. More than likely they are involved in more high level meeting discussing the direction the company is going to take after this re-shuffle.
TBH I doubt the people that have made this decision give a damn about the people it has directly affected and least of all the player-base.
Harsh but most likely the truth.
Keeps fingers crossed for K and whishes the others all the best again and hope that you can take forward many positives from you NC expierence to new and greener pastures. -
I have been thinking again.......uh oh i hear some groan. But with the combination effects available within the dual blades set I thought it would be really cool if some different powersets on different toons could interact with each other.
For example a foe is immobbed in a stone cage or something similar and the super strength tank then uses knock out blow and extra damage is awarded. Or an ice blaster/def/troller uses ice patch and then the electric blaster fries them and extra damage or end drain is awarded or a fire based toon hits them and extra damage is awarded.
I believe there is plenty of possibilies for interaction between powersets. I am sure this would be difficult to implement but comic book culture is full of examples when different heroes combine there super powers to gain an extra effect or boost the damage etc (fantastic four etc.). Like I said it would be a cool feature and if impossible to implement so be it, but would deffinatly be on my wish list for CoX2.
OT Question: Is it unheard of an existing game getting a makeover of the engine so that features like the above could be included or is stuff like that saved exclusivly for sequels? -
This came up in another thread and I know a fair few people that do it, but I actually am left wondering how many people actually do do this.
Please reply with a yes or a not, and any views you do have on this -
And I still dont want the idea of the SG access limits to be over looked. It may be difficult or impossible but I still think the idea has merits. It just so happens that the suggestion popped up. If you think it would be more suitable to start another thread on it I will. TBH i think it only popped up because i mentioned a pin control on vault items or storage bays, and only because I only access the vault within my SG base.
-
I dont understand your aversion to passing things between your own alts?
Everyone does it but they have to rely on friends to do it. -
Again I think a bit harsh but some ideas come from the unlikeliest of places and in naviety some great ideas can come. I do think the inc range insp would be a fantastic idea.
-
The suggestion I believe is not to allow movement for recipes, but to allow the vault to be on a global basis, so all your characters would access the same vault. It would make passing enhancement, salvage and the like easier.
Also a nice addition would be to have a global bank account in the vault aswell so that a deposit can be made from many of your own toons and then withdawn on whatever toon you wish.
