either that or they are tired of getting owned

they seem to be teleporting out before I can even begin gutting them... :'(
-
If thats the case, might I suggest a scientific experiment!
Head down to your local sports ground, challenge the local football team to a game, then you and your team play by picking the ball up the running with it...
Then call the other team the "Righteous you must play this way crowd" :P
Seriously, if the intent of an MMO was to get to 50 in a weekend, then things like the bugged CoP trial wouldn't have had to be removed. The game is DESIGNED to take time to play, which is why development time is spent on researching the XP curve etc rather than adding a computer in Atlas that you can click to insta-50.
If the MA were to be kept in beta until such time as there are no PL bugs, either there would be no XP given for missions or it would still be in Beta because guess what, lazy swines are always going to try and cheat the system.
I would rather have the current system and a major cricket bat round the face to those abusing it than no system at all. -

No, the devs have thrown the toys out of the pram because their precious addition to this game has turned round and bitten them.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually the devs precious addition has worked and players have done abused that addition resulting in the current situation.
It's kind of like having a Radio Controlled Tank that fires BB's, and then whining when you look down the barrel and press fire. Do the Devs force you to PL in a weekend? No they don't so blaming them is pointless. -

Sentient fog flowing out of Dark Astoria and slowly covering the city might be fun - maybe with some sort of travel power suppression, and lurking things in the fog.

Depends whether you go for John Carpenter or James Herbert's version "The Fog"

Stephen Kings "The Mist" For the Win in my opinion... -
Revised Hamidon Encounter
As the Hamidon encounter currently, well... Let's just say I'm not blown away by it...
I was thinking that perhaps Hammi should be more like a Giant Devoured, but perhaps somehow "connected" with the ground and in part burrowing under the city.
Parts of Hamidon ( think the Elemental from Hellboy II ) could then surface in parts of the city, which of course spill forth DE critters which have to be repelled, and the exposed bits of Hammi attacked.
Hammi Himself could still stay in the hive, but be more of a Biological Threat that could be fought by attacking weak points and more sensible means, that the current somewhat "un-fun" methods of taking down his Mito's.
Might make Hammi seem a bit more "doom" rather than being a big blob that nobody wants to fight anymore. -
well for all the sighing going on, I'll gladly let all the Rikti trash nobody else wants to fight line up and try to take me on!
Nothing like adding a few hundred thousand defeats to my Rikti-Kill-O-Meter -

This part may have been misleading then, but not sure how else to take "In order to combat PLing and farming"
[/ QUOTE ]
I think he means to combat Power Levelling and XP / Level Farming as opposed for Farming for Drops such as salvage.
Salvage farming has happened since the launch of the Auction House and merely adds more salvage and drops in circulation, not a bad thing!
The recent MA Farming resulting in level 50 Peacebringers asking where to buy enhacements however, well they need their "fun" spoiling and should be given something more suitable for them...

Having just had to global ignore someone for sending inf sale emails today, I'm going to agree with the guys and say no.

In terms of Ouroboros, Mender Silos supposidly broke his own "carbon law", did he do that by altering his own history, thus detatching himself from the current timeline?
Thats the only plausable way I can see it happening, and as such replicated the idea in my MA arc, just want to see if I got it right! -
I must say running the graphics on the settings I do, the game looks pretty damn hawt! What could however, be a good upgrade as Mumsy suggests is not the graphics parse, but other processing factors.
Better reactive lighting to powers could be one such effect that ties in with Issue 16, in that the color of powers will effect their surroundings, more detail added to zones and perhaps more in the way of zones reacting to players in a similar manner to RV? -
Whatever the situation, whatever is going on in Paragon, whatever my mood, I can always pick up and enjoy running around the city as Tsumiju Zero.
With both the reputation of a Rikti hating nutter, and a bit of a wisecracker, it's always fun to pile into rooms, sword swinging and good hearted! -
I think even back pieces like the Vanguard "v" details would be good, but yes, scabbards and the like are a must-have on the list of back details to add in my book

There was some internal discussion whether we should have deployed the 19.20090619.5T2 build to the EU servers at the same time as it was deployed to the North American servers....but we recognized that since EU was entering prime-time hours, that disruption to all EU customers with 30 minutes of warning was unacceptable.
The compromise was to push back the publish of 19.20090619.5T2 to 12 midnight (past EU peak time), and within operational development hours of Paragon Studios so that in the event of any other issues on Vigilance or Zukunft, we had time to address them before Thursday EU Prime-time.

See I think thats perfectly reasonable deployment strategy for a patch, would be worse if the maintenance was mid-TF to be fair!
As for adressing other issues, 2 entire populations have been denied access to their servers and characters, if Defiant and Union went down and the Devteam went off to fix the 5SF MM bug first, most people would scream blue bloody murder so I can see why the...
EMERGENGY patch!
has dealt with the more important issue of restoring service to our French and German relations! -
My observations thus far.
On test, we had some very high DPS toons attacking, and the thing that stumped us was that Bison ( lol ) got to about 30% hp and then spammed Unstoppable ala Honoree from LGTF, but worse.
Thankfully that portion of the fight has been sort of fixed Heroside, however;
On my initial successful run, JD brought his stoney and as each AV was released, everyone switched to pummelling those and then was back on Bison. During these AV fights, he would regen LOADS and required fighting down again.
However when we took him on with my DB/WP tanking, we had piles of -regen and transfusion, meaning that his HP could be kept in check so to speak while the others were taking down the AV's, and my DB isn't exactly high damage! So I think anything that doesn -regen, or can weaken bison and keep his HP in check is a much quicker way.
First run the fight was about 40 minutes, second run was more in the 20.
As for the SF, we had a team last night that was tearing through the AV's, the main problem lay with dealing with the ambushes in honesty.
We had problems where the ambush code that sees through Hide, was also seeing through the Mako temp and bringing people out of hide while trying to activate the lasers, ambushes that didnt stop spawning and once again issues with the other temp powers.
However, Soul Storm set his MM up to deal some pretty decent -regen, and again once we actually got to dealing damage directly against Bison, he was very manageable! -
well when the SGT is back we WILL be doing a raid, thats for sure, if we could just get the dev's to un-spoil hami, we'd do them more often!
-
the TF fight from yesterday was epic, actually a decent slugathon I have to say, but the HP + regen is a tad extreme.
As for the SF, I'm suprised that the MM bug made it this far, but will happily do the SF again when its fixed!!!
Really enjoyed both to be honest, always like having new TF's added! -
cheers Mumsy and GG
had a great day, especially having spent some of it sticking sharp objects into various 5th column troops ;D -
I have a few low level alts with decent names, and aside from my main I do like The Magaziner for my AR blaster, dunno why but I just do

I'd re-visit the Devouring Earth underground ideas I had a few years back. In the RWZ there is the large DE door that could serve as an entryway to an underground area that also connects to the Hive and Abyss, as well as potentially other zones in a similar way to the midnight club and pocket d. Obviously a new TF, more power proliferation, perhaps some more DE inspired sets etc...
I would re-design the "Look" of the DE as well as Hamidon Himself to make them more mutated natural elements more in keeping with the bladegrass, fungoid and devoured are.
Like Going Rogue, rather than creating new characters just to experience the new content like CoV, the content would add to existing characters. -
Pre-Ouroboros "Isolator" on toons that missed it in the tutorial ( got a few wow's when I mentioned I got it through RV on sals )
Zookeeper when it was 10,000 Rikti Monkeys was pretty good too!
For me though, I wear the "somewhere in time" badge as it fits my main characters backstory, but I tend to look for a range of badges on people I'm teaming with, make sure they arent all MA badges etc -
that badge you mention Damz unlocks the "Scorpions Suprise" turret. Ouroboros TF FTW on that one, not sure on the x100 badge though.
