Just replying to try and keep this in the public eye.

Well, I'll be honest. I'm a littles miffed that I didn't win. However, I just finished reading the three comics that did win. I don't feel so bad knowing that's what I lost to. They really are extremly well done, well laid out and creative. I would like to give a big shout out to 8Baller, LJ Halfbreed, and Chase Arcanum. You all deserve it.
(BTW: When's the next competition?) -
just making a reply to keep the post toward the front page.

Greetings to one and to all. I posted this previously, but it has become lost in the hundreds of posts made since it's original posting. So I'm gonna repost it and try to keep it toward the top of the post lists for the next month or so. With the recent CoX comic book creator contest, I have been inspired to take a story I had been working on and turn it into a comic. Now I was truly annoyed with the CoH Comics for not making use of player characters, so I intend to use player characters in my comic. To that end, I am making an announcement to anyone who manages to see it, if you are interested in auditioning for my comic, or would like more information about the comic before making a decision, please contact me. The preferred method if by email, you can reach me at myke_bim2003@yahoo.com. However you can also send me a private message here on the forum or post in response to this message.

" THis looks like a job... (Sees Rikti Hoars coming over the hillside) for some one else!"
"I have the power!"
"I vote Democrat!" -
what? What are you talking about the Dark Watcher? Where is he? Where do you see him?

imitating Jeff Goldblum:
"Man, I Hate being right all the time"

Just four huh? The original story I started just kind went flying right over the 8+1 page limit and I was like, ummmm I kinda need to cut this back a bit.....
-
Might as well throw my comic link up (just wanna be part of the group)

Either way, coments and critique are always welcome.
As a foot note, I made this peice with the intention of it being a kind of preview of an upcoming series kinda thing. I'm working on the full series now. -
The Cell doors flung open with a heavy clang and lights flickered on. A series of Guards stood at the door way with an assortment of weapons.
"alright inmates, out! " The nearest guard signaled with a swing of his shock baton.
Torroes' eyes fluttered and slowly cleared.
"come on brutie, breakfast." The guard said indicating Torroes.
(OOC: just trying to breath some life back into the RP) -
As the lights dimmed, Torroes closed his eyes. Ever sine his reincarnation as cyborg he was unable to truely sleep. The closest he could do would to enter a powered down state. the option had a major problem attached to it, Torroes couldn't wake himself us. Some one else had to kick start his systems. WHen he had been in E-block, Joe had been kind enough to do that. Regaurdless of weather anyone would be kind enough, Torroes didn't feel that such a action would be tactically wise. Leaving himself completly vulnerable.

okay folks, I've gone through and read most of this post. Here's the REAL situation:
People do stupid stuff. (End of story there)
The GMs are here to fix problems, not people.
If you can't deal with this concepts, I recommend that you find something better to do with your time. -
<Sensei?> Torroes thought to himself. <This man in the cell seems to have a mentor in the man outside. THat may proove to be valuble information> Torroes thought silently.
"Lights out. 10 minutes!" came a deep voiced announcement over the intercom. -
((OOC: Okay, well I don't wanna hijack the forum for the comic, so I'm just gonna post this. If you wanna work with me to make a 8-page Zigg comic send me a PM)
-
hey I was wondering if the winner of the contest had been selected yet.

((OOC: With that pic?
Oh, yes! Yes! YES! I would love to! So, want to make a channel in-game and talk it out there? Or should we discuss it here? Or should we create another thread in which we must PWN?

eh I was thinking an email list. Maybe some IMing if need be -

((Maybe if we had more going. Right now, our characters are still in their cells and too paranoid to really interact. We've got that big Pit Fight coming up... Maybe you could make the comic about that. The Ghoul vs. <insert hapless inmate>. Bam! Comic.
Of course, it'd be hard to make a PVP type comic.))

well, since we're limited to 8 pages for the contest, I was thinking of a "who's who" kinda deal. like maybe a vet guard is breaking in a rookie guard and giving him the intros to the major characters, with some flash backs for action and filler.
As for the being hard part, it wouldn't be worth doing if it was easy. -
((OOC: So what's the verdict? Yes we as a group would like to put our brains together and make an 8-page intro comic to the City of Villians: The Zigguraut series, or neih don't wanna do it? as a side note, a little something I peiced together: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...es/covzigg.jpg ))

((just an example of what I came up with in a couple hours of screen caping and brainstorming last night:
page 1: http://www.geocities.com/myke_bim200...aclsym-001.JPG
Page 2: http://www.geocities.com/myke_bim200...aclsym-002.JPG
so after playing around a bit with Photoshop and the Comic creator, I definatly think a Zigg comic is plausible. Who's in?)) -
Not saying you abosuluty won;t need to, but I think I can work it out so you wouldn't need a second costume slot. Just make a list of your toon's costume, speccifically the face and physique build, I'll build a duplicate toon on virtue or pinnicle or one of the other servers (Sans the name of course) and I'll change it a bit to accomidate for a Ziggy prison garb uniform too. But I think I can make it work. Who's interested? lemme know. If enough people from this RP are interested, I'll make a mailing list and we can converse and throw ideas and story lining and everything back and forth at each other.

hey all, quick question. Is anyone interested in doing a comic verson this RP and entering the comic in the CoV/H Comic book creator contest?
-
Torroes watched with a half open eye as Phaith slammed the guards into the cell door. The guard stumbled back holding his forehead and quickly shouted some verbage relevent to Phaith's parentage. Torroes made a quick series of mental notes about Phaith:
Rule 1: Don't Trust THis guys (Phaith)
Rule 2: See rule one
Somewhere in the back of Torroes mind, he hollared at himself to take care of Phaith right now. It would be a simple enough matter. Simply shove his into the bars, reach forward and snap his neck agianst the metal bars. A simple endevour, even in Torroes' powered down state. Even in his current state he was more then a match for anyone he had seen in A-block so far. Still, there is strength in numbers. And Torroes had a feeling is Phaith wanted to, he could and would manipulate others to his side. Best not to make a public rivalry just yet. -
Torroes looked at Hataka and then turned to look at Phaith. Niether of this duo appeared to be noteworthy, or trustworthy for that matter. Not that it mattered to Torroes, once agian it is impossible to intimidate that which considers itself already dead.
"I suppose I should greet you with 'what are you in for?', but I think I will leave that to dear Phaith over here." Ryuu continued, "He doesn't have much else to pass the time with, I'm afraid..."
Torroes grunted with out answering and stook three gigantic steps toward the back corner of the cell. Shroaded in shadows and gloom, Torroes stood a few inches off the wall, crossed his arms at chest height and shut his eyes. He had no interest, nor intent in interacting with these people and perfered to simply stand in silence. He wasn't sure what was going to happen now. Would Zyle wait a few days then move him back to the E-block? Would Long Bow stay on staff? Torroes didn't know, and he wasn't particularly conserned with the answer. He was conserned with whatever planes his three new cell mates might be devising. While Torroes had every intension of never agian leaving prison, a form of self-impossed exile to atone for his sins, his mechanical body was now a major liability. If anyone managed to take remote control of his body, they would have the means to simply walk out of the prison and wreak near appocoliptic levels of destruction. Torroes already had the blood of innocents on his hands, and he would not allow any more innocents to be killed. In his near meditative state, Torroes began to think of his own plans to counter whatever these three were devising that might involve him.
