I am making a Stalker, and in researching the forums I have narrowed things down. But there seems to be a great debate about which is better, so I am asking advice...

I will only PvE with this toon, as I do not play PvP. I will solo and group about 50 / 50. I would fight AVs if the build can handle it, but probably only with a group...

Most people say Spines is the best. I also hear a good debate for Nin, DM, and EM.

As for the secondary, Nin or SR seem to be split 60 / 40 on people's prefrence.

What's the best overall? Also any suggestions on powers to skip would be helpful. I am more experienced with blue side than red...

Two questions for Mastermind Demon Summoning:

1. Is there a list of Emotes that the demons can do available? For example I can make them wave but not praise. I may be typing the command wrong or they can't perform it because of the body type.

2. When you create a macro it leaves you a grey button named whatever. Can you change the color of a Macro button? If so, How?

I never saw the need for hot feet / choking cloud. While I agree the combo is nice, the speed at which a fire / rad wipes out things (post lvl 32) is unreal.

I usually throw a bonfire in front of me, flashfire / fire cages, maybe run up and hit a cinders after throwing lingering rad / env field / rad infection on the boss and watch the imps lay waste while sitting behind the bonfire throwing chars and fireballs...

I don't play red side that much. But I do have one Robotics Mastermind. I am planning to make a Demon Summoner. I don't have that much infamy red side to work with and every build I come across is done with expensive chip sets. Love them on blue side...

My question is if I have 6 slotted a demon summon, lets say Summon Demonlings and I put regular SO's in it, do they affect the summon? Say I put 2 acc, 2 dmg, and 2 slow chips, will that enhance their accuracy, damage, and slow powers?

I always take SB. I love it on my support toons but hate it on my melee toons, as I frequently run past my targets. I just bind it to a key and ask any1 want SB when we start a mish. Otherwise I will hit the support toons with it and wait till a melee toon yelps for it so I dont mess them up.

Cap or no cap I took the power cuz I liked it, as you should do with any power. There's always someone who will want it on them.

Herostats tracks those stats. You can have it running and see how long till it wears off or till your power is ready to cast again.

I just read about 20 pages of tech problems and I see that the tailor issue is not new. I would have thought it would have reset when I changed it back, but it did not. So I will use the token.

I guess I will count myself lucky it didnt change my toons colors as well!

Thought I would leave an update in case anyone else is browsing for help with a similar problem.

The problem seems to be fixed. Here is what I did:

Raised the swap file and ran virus scan / updates / defrag. I then went and stopped any update programs from running on a scheduled time.

I was worried about my processor temp also so I put another fan on it.

That helped but didn't fix it.

Later I updated my mouse driver: In the past I had a problem with CoH freezing. It turned out that CoH didn't like my Logitech mouse. I switched to a Microsoft mouse and that fixed the problem.

After that I gave Coh.exe and Cohupdater.exe direct access through the firewall and unplugged from my router and directly into my modem.

Now the freeze is gone.

Wondering if this is a bug..or a known issue, or just me.,..

I go into the tailor with my 50 blaster to do the colors on his powers. As soon as I enter tailor mode, it removes my Gladiator shoulder piece. I can switch it back to regular, but it wants to charge me about 200,000 infl for the changes back to the way I had it.


Now, I have 40 free tailor sessions so it's not an infl issue. I just dont understand why it changes some costume settings. I have another toon that when I enter the tailor it adds hair to my bald toon..

Maybe it's just the end of the month and the tailor is trying to make quota...

Exact same thing... The game no longer crashes, I thnk the video/sound card driver updates did the trick.

Now it's a 30sec. freeze (complete) every 5 minutes. We started at 8 and I had no problems till 10:30 (I also didnt take a death till it froze in a battle!!). At 10:30, freeze up. Now the last time it happened, it happened for 30 sec. every 5 minutes, but it happened the moment I logged in and it was in the AM...

PS: am on now with no probs. It seems to start when I team up and enter a mission...but I dont know...

Well, after 2 and 1/2 hours straight in a full group the freeze began happening again. I am out of ideas. Here is the Hijack This report, done today (5/6/10), after a full virus scan on system. After a long investigation, I believe I have found the problem. In my startup menu was the old ISUSPM.exe. My research shows it to be an install shield update service, which can cause freeze ups as it connects to the internet to search for updates and such. After shutting it down things seem to be fine.

Playing in a full out group tonight, so I will see for sure if that was it...

Oh it's EXACTLY 5 min to the second. Only problem is, it only happened in CoH so far. I haven't had a freeze up anywhere else... I will have to CSI this problem. Maybe I can pinpoint it.

Interesting: Everything works fine except now I get a full game freeze up during missions for exactly 30seconds every 5 min. It's too mechanical of a schedule so something has to be causing it.

I am thinking it could be Xfire, my chat program. Anyone else have a similar issue or problems with xfire??

The game runs smoother already, but light loads and havent run in a group yet. I will do that today. I defraged it last night. I will try the particles and swap file settings. The Swap was set to 2056 MB I can up it to 3072MB.

I have been out of CoH for about 9 months. PC was running the game, plenty of lag, but playable. Now I return and am crashing when I am in a group on a mission. I get in and begin buffing the party and crash to desktop.

I see that people are having connection issues with i17. I have no problem getting into the game or mission, I just crash when I begin the action.

I am looking for some suggestions as to where to begin diagnosing this problem. Here is some info to work with (I know you tech guys love some data to work with!), I can provide more if someone has any ideas...

You may be safe if the lvls of the enemies are locked. The sewers dies out around lvl 7-8 or so. You can only gain so far. Setting it to 1-50 will be a farm look. Setting for a low lvl may work. Like a 1-10 enemy group.

I found the best formula is to make it for yourself. Enjoy what you like and put it up for others. With so many people playing opinions will vary.

I prefer something I can solo or bring a few of my friends through. Sometimes i make a thread for just that. Right now it seems there is a need for low level content. Try that!

Faultline still has some of the best written and playable stories in this game. I still have no idea why they put up a new AE building in a disaster area! Gotta fix the roads and plumming b4 the economy no?

If ever a zone was a hazard zone just by the look of it, Faultline and Boomtown qualify. Not sure they would de-hazzard it. While I agree, that I wish traffic was better there, it seems the only draw is the story of what really happened to Overbrook.

Putting an AE in a Hazzard zone when it is accessable to all lvls anyway doesn't seem to make sense. But the truth is Atlas park is as far as u need to go for AE now-a-days. Faultline is a quiet getaway to work in peace. It seems to be drawing as well as Perez, Striga, and Dark Astoria right now. Only NPCs....

Under the ally tab on page 2 of your mission, you should have an animations tab. In that there are 4 options. Enemy Group Starting Animation, Ally Starting Animation, Ally Rescue Animation, and Ally Stranded Animation.

I do see the same options under both standard and custom ally type. Hope that helps!

I have an ally in my arc. He is set to rampage-throw rock. Works fine. Try switching to one that the animation works on then switch to the one you want. That worked for me.

How about something simple like a lvl limit per zone. Atlas is good till u hit lvl 6 then you move to Kings Row AE. This way it's not focused in one zone.

Of course then u need to be in certain zone to run a certain lvl mish in AE....prolly more chaos than it's worth in the long run..

You seem to keep making this about me. I have no problems teaming. The suggestion was not to stop SKing, but to make it zone specific for the AE. But as I mentioned it would cause more problems than it's worth.

Not sure where exactly I said I had trouble finding a team....I remember saying that I get invites to join a team when I am not looking for one.

I see posting a point of view or an idea is useless here. So I shall leave you to your world. However if you had read the other 500 farming threads on the forum, you would see that many people have a problem with the farm spamming when not looking for a team. Not just me.

It was not my intention to hijack this thread in a trolling war. My apologies to all. I only wanted to add my voice to the topic. I realize my first post was probably seen as self righteous, my mistake not how I meant it to sound.

Server: Freedom
Character: Peace Cleaver
SG group: Enforcers of Atlas

Situation: Travelling through the tunnel from Steel to Atlas, the screen never loaded. As I log back in it crashes and tells me the toon is still logging out. I reloged with another toon no problem, but get the same msg when I try and relog with Peace Cleaver.

Time: About 10:30pm EST when it occured.

Additional: Doesn't seem to effect other toons. Had 3 toggles running: super jump, integration, and sprint if that helps.
