I am looking to spend alot more time Blueside as I have been playing redside almost exclusively and want to change that.
For who is the home:
Toon is Keeper of the Faith
Magic DP/Fire Blaster, lvl 16.
Nephilim (1/2 Angel, 1/2 human)
Nun with Guns. Think Sisters of Battle or Magdalena.
Character sheet.

I am looking for:
1) Active RP heavy SG, I usually play latenights 11pm-2am eastern
2) Adult based. I don;t mean ERPers. I mean that I got into one once that was like being part of a noob frat party and want to avoid that situation again.
3) Active Story forum, I like to write and read.
What do I offer.
1) Active DA (Deviant Art) member. You can see some of my work for My toons and my friends toons on my Deviant Art page.

2) Active writer. -
Tried running the game in Windowed mode and it worked. Unfortunetly had to set the graphics to minimum...
Why Windowed mode works and regular does not? I have no idea. -
Tried that fix and NOTHING!
Atleast with the Sync bug you could semi fix it with a teleport! -
I am making an alternate build for a blade/will brute, a special forces assassin. I want to make something ranged, but I am not sure how Assault/Traps or Archery/Trick arrow work out. Also I could use Archery/Traps or Assault/Trick arrow.
Already lived through leveling a Grav Dom and a Dark armour Brute, both I would have never used if I had known in advanced the bugs and flaws they have. The point is, which is actually worth it and in what combination? -
I was looking over Doms again, go figure. Already got a Grav/Electric to 50.
I have been playing a brute for a while but nothing says Villian like a Dom. You not only plan to comand the world but already comand nature.
That said, I never really looked over X/Earth, specially never saw the animations. Earth/X never really called out to me, maybe it was the animations and such. But the Earth secondary looks cool as hell. Then again so did Grav, and I know the headache that was.
Looking it over earth, the main disadvantage was that targets must be grounded. that is when I remembered all the Grav abilities to down flyers. I also remembered how "weak" grav is compared to stuff like Fire. So, my question is this:
Is X/earth really worth it or am I just looking at another Grav?
Is the Grav downing flyers really nesesary to make it work or does fire work well with it? -
heading back redside, I am making a MA stalker. But I am stumped on the secondary.
The concept is a were leopard so...
I am between:
Willpower
Super Reflexes
Regen
I know how most of them behave for Brutes and Scrappers, but in a stalker?
What advantages does each have and which is not even worth considering? -

Hello to everyone that is reading this.
Finding a proper fit between a SG/VG and a player is not that easy, specially since SG/VG cliques are not that open unless they are doing recruiting drives.
I am looking for both, a SG and a VG with the following characteristics.
1) RP heavy with OOC chanel to coordinate. (If your in Virtue, why the hell don;t you RP?)
2) Forum for writeups, stories and calenders. (need something to do while waisting time at the office)
3) active membership during latenight eastern time. (my game time is usually every night between 10 pm to 1 am eastern)
4) adult membership, +18 plus atleast. (CANNOT deal with the pwned crowd, sorry. and no, ERP is not a requirement)
I know that I sound like an idiot adding all those requirements, but I do not want to start in a group I will quit later cause it did not live up to my gaming expectations.
SG search would be for:
1a) Hero side female templar style toon. Looks kinda' like a mix between superhero and 40k adeptus sororita. Lvl 10 Broadsword/shield scrapper.
or
1b) or a Peacebringer...have yet to develop him properly.
And VG search would be for:
2) Vill side female widow. Psyco, Scorned, dual personality, post traumatic stress disordered x-girlfriend. Everyone has had one of those. Lvl 30+ night widow/fortuna.
I have been playing redside only for some time now in an established VG, so I am out of the loop blueside. the redsider is VG less cause she was kicked out as part of expanding a group story and it would be against the established story to bring her back in, and I love the way the build works enought to not want to shelf her. -
Considering making a new Dom but want something new. I was considering Plant/Fire but I have no Idea how well they work together.
Any advice? -
The link seems to be broken, cannot access it.
-
When you respec at lvl 20, picking a Fortuna or a blood, do you have to pick just one or can you have a different one for each build?
-
A while back I was a hanger on in a RP run. I was ported to the entrance of a club in the big high tech piramide in Redside. Inside there was a party going and everything with a bunch of players...Soon after we left and I really was not paying that atention to location. (hey it was 4am)
When I have tryed to find the location again, I could not...
Anyone know where this was? -
There are a lot of realistic comics out there, specially since it is easier for independants to get out. As for the limitations of RPing in MMO's, it takes some getting use to. the standard (()) and the *action* and the bunch of other little details. I think that most of those that look for the more deep RPing is because they are PnP RPers. Only down side is that you end up hanging around and basically doing nothing while the conversations happen, so you can easily play 2 or 3 hrs without a single xp.
As for the Ventrilo coment...at first I thought it might be a good idea. Till I realized that the busty redhead my toon is hitting on might sound like a late night trucker. -

In other words, Torero wants to play a human being (or regular being) that just happens to shoot fire out of his hands (or whatever his powersets of choice happen to be) rather than being defined in the inverse.

As sarcastic as that sounded, sort of.
RPing is a study on behavior. How does the character you created behave given certain situations? I dont care about RPing how the toon is a Spandex superstar saves the day. I care about RPing how he deals with being typecast and loosing his humanity, about having to decide between trying to save his personal relations or saving someone he doesnt even know. Worse yet. Say your character is and a hyperion, why would he actually care? Or why isnt he simply a jerk?, not like anyone can take him down a peg.
Personally I like that aspect. The one that brings humanity to a character. Even the lack of humanity brings humanity to a concept by recognizing it. -
The funny thing is it took a thread like this, 2 weeks research in Virtuevers and Guild portal to find a couple or so SG with this mindset. You would think that on a server mostly composed of RPers it would not have been that hard.

Guess I have to try and clarify again. Realism in comics? Yes they are not realistic but they can have realism. That means touching the aspect of humanity or lack of in every character. It means making well rounded characters, not just heroes are heroes because they are good and villians are villians just cause they are evil. And I am not just talking about the angst antihero, I mean all. You have to touch the humanity these people have, or worse yet the humanity they loose. You are a hero adored by the masses, and this does not affect your self view?
As for the Golden age? I am sorry, but it was almost cowboys and indians or cops and robbers. Sure batman killed badguys, but who cared, they were bad guys. Actually the more badguys he killed the more of a good guy he was. There was no remorse, trauma of taking a life or anything of the kind. And let;s not even start with the bad guys. they were evil cause they were! No reason, no explanaition. they where just bad. Sure you had your pulp exceptions but in the mayority that was it.
Again, take batman, As soon as they began to make his comics more realistic, notice that the first thing to go was the spandex. The uniform became light body armour and the like. And that;s without geting into the psycology.
I know that there are those that love the spandex heroes, personally I don't. Those "realistic groups aparently are more popular in redside than in blue. I have seen in redside a foster home to care for the lost children of the Isles, several (lots) of merc and tech companies, detective agencys and even a porn agency.
Blueside? I had to stop counting the "heroes for a heroic league of spandex heroes of america", every single variety of schoolgirl anime cat girl and enough ninja clans to make you think everone in Japan is a ninja or atleast a decendant of one.
Then I have found a couple of cool concepts. the comunity hero that is not into the limelight, merc agencys that work of the public eye, and even a retirement home of old heroes.
You want your spandex hero, sure, that's fine. But I am looking for an RP admosphere that provides for something else. -
Wow, never expected this to get the huge response it has. To clarify....realistic in a comic book sense? I mean that personally I hate the "Up, up and away" feel of all those Siver and Golden age groups, and on blueside they are many! Then you look at the next possible set in themed or atleast in RP groups and you get either the tecnicolored ninja squadrons or the school girl /cat girl anime SG.
Not eveyone that has powers is out saving the world for the fame and glory. Not all super powered people go to hero high.
On redside I am a member of 2 VGs. 1 is a corporate research facility. My toon is basically a field tester. The other is a Merc Organization in which I am part of the "shock and awe" team (basically the wrecking crew". Neither is villians for villany or any stereotipical crap like that. Not that there is anything wrong with it but it is not my style.
Funny thing is I am looking at SCORPIO for an interview. -
Ok, I am looking for an RP heavy SG for a blueside toon. Thing is I do not want a Silver age, or Golden Age hero doing the heroic thing, the Ninja training dojo theme or the Cat girl theme.
Is there no realistic themed SG's out there? -
Although I have played brutes berore, I never actually dedicated myself to brutes. Now I have to prep one for an XP duo so I'd better pic one that works. Concept wise I am limited to the following power sets.
Primary:
Energy Melee
Electric Melee
Super Strength
Secondary:
Electric Armor
Energy Aura
Invulnerability
Sheild Defense.
Anything I should keep in mind when making my choices? Anything that does not actually work even though it might look like it does in text? -
Each toon has his own theme and individuality.
Dalilean is the Ill/kin troller. He is basically a paranormal investigator with a flair for the theatrical. His look right know is that of a circus ring master.
Naipe (meaning card in spanish), the nrg/kin corr is an adrenaline junky with the bad habit of being WAY over confident. Problem is that with his kin abilities he gets away with being that overconfident. -
I moved back to Virtue from one of the lower population servers... got tired of logging in at 11 pm to an empty game.
I have right now a lvl 43 ill/kin magic troller and a lvl 42 nrg/kin mutant corr. (What can I say, I love kin)
I leveled these without an SG so after holding off for some time, I think they need a home.
I am looking for a SG and a VG, moderate and up in RP, active membership. Themed preferably.
My gaming hours are late nights so an adult group would be better. -
Geting my first toon to lvl 45, I decided to respec to set up set enhancements. Looking them over with Midi, I found that simple invention enhancements gave better bonuses than set enhancements. How are set enhancements better in comparison to the amount you have to invest?

Ok, aparently this has gone the wrong way, What I mean is images for the generic faceless henchmen evil overlords have:

get the idea? -
Mr. Awesome, Thanks.
When I mention Faceless minions, I don;t mean faceless literally. I mean the droves of generic backup that villians tend to have.
Think Storm Troopers, the weird guys that the Power Rangers fought, the soldiers of Syndrome (in the Incredibles)....
