I play on both Defiant and Union, but I prefer Defiant. I just think the people there are a bit nicer than on Union (oh no The_Phantoms is going to start a flame war!!)

As you can see in the chart, CoX's peak population was fall 2005. After that, it went down - and it still is.

And we are left with just under 150,000 subs. The peak was almost 200,000.

So that means we have actually lost over 50,000 subs with the years going by.

That's 25% of the population of the peak time, fall 2005.

A quarter is a big drop for any MMO, although NC are pleased with subs, they need to look very very closely at these numbers. Because they have actually been going down and the NC buying hasn't stopped it.

Yes there was a bump after the NC buying but only a little and then it went down again.

Let me explain; lots of the statues were created when the game was being developed, and most statues post-game realase (eg, the one outside Kings Row Statues) were only one or two. If there were going to be hundreds of those requested, wouldn't it take quite a while?

tl;dr - If it was as easy as people make out, there would be lots and lots more statues.

This was suggestioned not long ago, there's a lot of technical difficulties with it, it's not a cakewalk because lots of people will want SG Base Statues and the devs will have to make these all and use up all the time therefore decreasing the quality of Issues.

Tbh it's a dream more than a reality, there's technical difficulties with it and it isn't really a risk = reward system. (cos devs are risking their time, and I'm not sure a lot of people would do it)

So while it might be good to see it has to be an /unsigned.

Why would it grant you XP from missions you did when XP was disabled? That would defeat the entire purpose of the option.

When it's on, no XP is earned. When it's off, XP is earned. Simple.

I think you misunderstand. Let me explain further...

Superguy does some missions which give XP, but he doesn't get XP because Earning XP is turned Off.
Superguy turns Earning XP On.
Does Superguy recieve the XP from those missions now that Earning XP is On?

It wouldn't defeat the entire purpose. Because you would be able to experenice as much content as you like in your current level range without outlevelling it, then turning XP back on and then you recieve that XP and outlevel the content but no worries - you've done it!

That basically means you can do the content that you wanted to do without outlevelling it and still be the same level with his friends, Supergirl and Superboy.

I might get demolished here, but why do people want to have a pop at the guy? He hasn't heard of the doom threads before, and just because he didn't use Search he's suddenly a target for insults.

Also a few other points...

No server merges are NOT set in stone. There are no CURRENT plans, but any day the devs could decide "Hey the popualtion is low let's merge the servers". Nothing is ever set in stone in a MMO, because the devs have the power to make it happen.

Also, I think people post a lot of the time because they're trying to get an opnion across. Sure, they've DONE that, but there so persistent, and that's not always a bad thing. There's a variety of different users who DO want a server merge: there's a variety of different users who DON'T.

If we all just leave the people who want a server merge ALONE, then maybe they will go away. They have a opnion, they voiced it; if we just ignore them instead of posting in them, they will go away.

It's like a ridiculer. Someone ridicules you for any reason, you ignore them - guess what? They stop.

So in all, we should just cut the guy some slack, ignore him, and then these things will stop.

Also, why is everyone rating these threads 1 star? The guy's just getting a opnion/suggestion across. Ugh.

An Emp defender would pick up teams like it's no tommorow, but they're quite hard to solo.

So personally I would go with a Tank. It's one of the main jobs in a team. As far as powersets go, Stone/anything seems to be a good combo. I personally choose Stone/Nrg. Good defense + good single target damage (since there's a lack of AoEs in it).

Whatever you choose, enjoy the game, both Hero and Villian side.
