  1. Of course the agreement with marvel doesn't actually mean they'll never be a costume creator. NCsoft could choose to move ahead with a costume creator effectively breaking the agreement with marvel (provided not doing one is the agreement) and then fight marvel when they bring a law suit (marvel have to bring a law suit to maintain there copyrights)

But it really doesn't seem worth while to go to that expense
  2. Its something i think almost every one wants and has been suggested numerous times but so far hasn't happened.

The reason for it not happening is reckoned to be the terms of the marvel law suit that was brought against cryptic and NC-soft before CoH was released it's guessed that one of the agreed upon terms is that that cryptic and NC-soft wouldn't realise a stand alone (and hence unmonitored) costume creator. but no one knows for sure because under US law no one can talk about (bloody stupid but there u go)

So great idea but probably never happen

    1. Since I4 Castle had been looking for a coding change to allow an end to Toggle dropping. Unbeknownst to him, Shannon Pozniewski (a cryptic programmer) added it in. Castle only recently found documentation on that, so, now it's in.

Heehee - hurrah for patchy change management systems!

I wonder what else has been coded and is just waiting to be discovered?

    4. As one example of the Epic/Patron changes, Castle mentions that Weapon Mastery for Scrappers will now include Focused Accuracy. If his memory is correct.

I wonder what power in that pool that got axed then.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I wonder if it'll get a new animation? Maybe a targeting drone? or if they'll just use the normal animation.
  5. You could drop both super-jump and acrobatics. Replace them them with repel and and internal reduction and slot repel with 4 from Kinetic Crash which would give you mag 3 knockbak protection (1 more than acrobatics) as well as a small boost to your run speed and a small resist to smashing damage.

    Question

Not sure if i would quit it would really depends on which characters i lost.

If they were what i think of as my minor characters eg. Those that I've created but not embellished with a full on back story, i would probably just think of a new name and move on.

However if they were those that i had given history i would be far more tempted to just let my subscription slide as i wouldn't have the same connection with my character any more.
  7. I would say yes it may be a popular set and there are certainly a good few elec brutes in the lower lvls but they seem to thin out the higher you go and those you do see normally have aid self
  8. As it stands i think elec armour gives the least over all protection of all the brute armour sets (not sure about stalkers but i suspect its the same).

So my suggestion is pretty strait forward give Electric Armour the same Power Sink self heal that Energy Aura is getting with i13 i recon it would help elec armours over all survivability and also reduce the trend of almost all elec armour brutes taking aid self.
  9. As standoff says there's already the "check Name" thing unfortunately you've got to remember and use it and also hope no one has the same inspiration as you and manages to beat you to the punch.

It would be nice if you could do the character creation in any order eg. create name then go on do a costume and pick powers or create costume then go on and pick powers and name.
  10. What i don't get is if i phone up your bank they have no idea what I'm talking about as far as there concerned there should be no problem with me using my maestro card for a recurring payment.

I spent a good hour on the phone with various people at RBS and not one could understand the problem i even went as far as to contact support and ask them for more details and then phoned the bank and read them the details and still no joy.

    Export SG roster

That is rather cool and with the on set of inventions and dual builds it would be good to be able to pull stuff from ingame into somthing like mids
  12. The_MESS

    Export SG roster

I suppose if you had a SG web page they could see how many active players you had in your SG other than that its not going to tell a potential member much.

    Still a exilent idea though
  13. so a mechanic dose exist for the aggro generated by a pet to be transferred to the owner so if the swarms were coded in the same way as the sentinel they would work
  14. [ QUOTE ]
And that doesn't have tricks in it like Threat Diversion, which currently isn't even in the game as far as I'm aware.

    [/ QUOTE ]

what about the sentinal power from elec blast dose that not use some kind of threat diversion
  15. As i understand it unless its a set bonus the power has to be active for the proc to work so if u have a -KB IO in stealth you would only be protected from KB when stealthed same goes for the IOs that are chance of +end etc.

    But i may be wrong.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
Big surprise from me but I'd like to see a Bug Hero Booster.

There'd be a lot more options for bug heroes such as ant-like mandibles, stag beetle pincers, six/eight-legged back packs (like Arachnos but scaled down), scorpion tails, beetle shells, etc
I'd love to see helmets for bug heroes that look kinda like Kamen Rider Kabuto

I'm not sure on powers since it's hard to think of bug heroes without referencing the web-slinger....

    But yeah! Bug Boosters!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes please as long as we can have the arachnoid arms.

As for a power how about.

Spit venom: same animation as the poison spit that masterminds have dose some (very) minor toxic damage and some minor -regen

    or

Spit web: same animation (grey goo instead of green tho) minor hold or imob.

    or

Summon hive: summon a load of swarms to your location which buzz about and make a general nuisance of them selves for a short while before the disperse. any aggro they generate would be directed at you.
  17. yea i never got that either was expecting some terminator type half and half stuff maybe even some freek style bits
  18. [ QUOTE ]
Hmmm yeah I guess. Maybe a Kheldi-booster'd be too specific then?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Maybe but they could do a "alien" one and have some pieces theme on the kheldian forms as well as the rikti and just general alien type bits.
  19. [ QUOTE ]
We wanted to update everyone on the Auras that are included in Superbooster 1: Cyborg.

Currently the Cyborg Auras included in Superbooster 1 are only available to characters who have completed the Aura mission at level 30 or higher. However, development is in process that will enable all characters to use these Cyborg Auras from level 1, and will be implemented as soon as possible.

Thanks to everyone who's taken advantage of this new optional Superbooster and for your feedback about it.

To discuss this announcement please join us here.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Post from lighthouse.

I wonder if we'll see other lvl 1 auras
  20. They could all easily be put in for dominators without stepping on the toe's of there primary and secondary
  21. While Temperature Protection is a bit of a naff power it can be used to slot a -KB IO in which is handy cause then you have always on KB protection.

If it was to be changed i would probably be tempted to take it along the lines of grounded and have it give some limited KB / Imob protection when on the ground. Nothing to drastic maybe the same KB protection as can be had from Acrobatics and enough immobilise protection to ignore one immobilise. (which could then be used with burn to further increase your immobilise protection)
  22. [ QUOTE ]
i give it a rest when i finally see someone realize how wrong it's made, till then, bare with it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Except you've done nothing to prove your point. Every one bar you seems to agree with the basic definition of Melee being up close and personal combat regardless of weather said combat involves you whacking some one with a big hammer or gutting them with a sword.

What your effectively asking for is 3 new power sets one each for fire, ice, and earth now either these power sets would be copies of the existing elemental melee sets with any elemental weapon power replaced with Punch/kick type power which to be honest would be pretty rubbish there would be very little new brought to the game even tho the dev's would have effectively created 3 new power sets.

The other option would be to work up 3 all new power sets the used nothing or very little from the existing sets this would be a lot of work and while give more "new" would still result in a 2 of eatch elimental type of powers which i can see causing 2 things

    1. confusion to new players

New player "hey how come you have a huge ice sword ind i have this punch"
Vet player "well see that's because you picked Ice Melee fists while i picked Ice Melee"
New Player "that sucks i want a big sword"

    2. Unhappy players that want all elementally weapon sets

"You made elemental fist sets for every one who wanted just to have fist attacks when you gonna make a all elemental weapon set for earth fire and ice"

all in all its a lot of work and a lot of time to gain not a lot the branching power set idea is better (even if i do say so my self)it offers more variety for the same amount of work (maybe slightly more to implement the branching)
  23. The_MESS

    Rikti Invasion!

Had a similar experience tho in my case it was about 20 villains Vs Rikti Vs Death surge was great fun
  24. Is this some kind of GhostRaptor baiting?
