Well the Scrapper, Blaster and Defender are accounted for but you can have a tanker. His name is Supreme and he's extremely fancy.
-
Ooo, I'll probably send Jersey for the Scrapapocalypse since I should really be spending less time in pansy real life distractions and more time playing games again! Incidentally, my cat is officailly twice the size of a regular cat. It's sort of a super cat if you will assuming the ability to crumble under its own weight is a superpower.

I've also decided to have a go being official targetter myself,I have a pretty powerfull pc,but if anyone else would like to do it then let me know...Electro Mag,Jeresey?

If you don't want to, which might be understandable if you want view raid progress from a less intimate position, then I'll help out... assuming I'm Jeresey that is. -
He's right, the 1AT Coalition is a great place to be. Also, Utilitarianism is for chumps who think they can make decisions based on their ability to predict the future. Deontological thinking is teh uber.

What are the rules on Christmas Jetpacks? Is there a ruling from the leader on whether the lag caused by their graphic sparkliness outweighs the benefit of all Melee character being able to reach the Mitos easily?
-
One Shotting will be fixed, Stalkers run like sissy girls from the power of a single respite after they hit you and baiting them with a decent teammate waiting in the wings is funny because they only have one trick and using it makes them a huge target.
A good stalker with a team that knows when to strike is great at unexpectedly taking out a valuable team member, usually a defender, but otherwise I'd say they're a nuisance that's fun to do a back and forth hunt with but are a clever distraction over from Dominators and Corruptors who I usualy target first. -
I was just saying since we seem to do one raid at a time so as not to step on another raid's toes, sort of professional courtesy to whoever gets their 'next raid' thread in first. You could try setting up a raid for that date but be warned it's harder than it looks.

Never fear, you now have a jetpack to make up for it.

pfft... and skewer.. he died just as much as me

Well you do have binds that target the nearest enemy and irradiate the [censored] out of them, they fear your might. Then they go for me because Trick Arrow is obviously the most threatening power set. -
Are you sure? I've got Union Badghunters as the only channel in the tab and It seems to be going there straight from the chat box when I've got the little 'A' bubble on the furthest right selected for default.
-
Personally I fully advise the use of tabbing. Seperate your favourite global channels into their own tabs and set talking on the channel to the default in the tab menu. That way you can stay permanently connected to the channel in the tab without it invading your normal chat window and when you want to talk in it there's no need for the send channel command at all!
-
Since I figure global chat is only useful if likeminded people are in the same place I'd *like* to start a thread to track the global chat channels appropriate to Union activities. So simply post your channels here or use the list to find a useful channel to join so hopefully we can make global chat as useful as it can be.
Current naming convention for global channels seems to be 'Union <name>'
So without further ado, the chat channels with the person who set them up in brackets and the purpose in italics.
<ul type="square">[*] Union General (The_Jersey) General Chat[*] Union lft (The_Jersey) Finding a team/finding members for your team[*] Union Taskforces (The_Jersey) TF specific lft and TF announcement/arrangement[*] Union Monsterwatch (The_Jersey) Shout any monster sightings or team to hunt them[*] Union Badgehunters (Goldenboy) Band together with likeminded badge hunters[*] Union PvP CoV (_Noir_) CoV specific PvP channel, smash pesky dogooders[*] Union Roleplay CoV (_Noir_) CoV specific roleplay channel, discuss OOC and arrange plotlines/missions[/list]
Give us your channels! -
Okay, here's a list of the cahnnels so far:
I've created the four channels I can and edited post accordingly
already existing
Union Badgehunters
Union PvP CoV
Union Roleplay CoV
Union lft
Union Monsterwatch
Union Taskforces
Union General
and suggested but not yet existing
Union PvP CoH
Union Roleplay CoH
Union Bloody
Union Sirens
Union Warburg
-
Okay, since Global Chat/Total Cat is finally here I'd say we at Union need to make a firm decision on what to set as our global channels for particular purposes or at least a system to allow us to easily identify the best place for particular things.
So I figure we'll need:
Taskforces
Badges
Looking for Team/Members
PvP
So basically I think we come up with more suggestions and then suffix them all as: Taskforceunion, lftunion etc. and that way we get as many people in the same places as possible. When that's done we can *hopefully* sticky a post for official Union global chat channels. Good idea? -
I'm usually available with advance notice for whatever it is that's planned but on weekends I can usually only do mornings between 1am and and Midday

Disorienting works in theory, but I'm pretty sure there are more holding than disorient powers in the game. In general holds are also more certain because a lot of the disorients are chances on attacks rather than flat mezzes. I don't think confuse has ever been tried and don't know how many confuses it would take to put Hami under or if that would even stop him spawning Mitos.

A question though: Were the servers upgraded for CoV at all? And does that in any way affect raid lag? I wasn't here for the last raid but on the one before that I was moving at a pretty good speed with all my graphics options turned way way down.
I understand that they are on the same servers, and so the test servers can have CoV and Hamidon working, however the test server IS the best way to have more controllers then usual, considering we can have defiant's controllers and epic holding squad - also a private party - but still, an additional force. I'm sure they won't mind.

Should have worded that a little better. I meant are the servers bigger than they used to be which would mean less lag?

The idea about nukes is a good one, a -res and -regen debuff that's available to all with a little effort.
[/ QUOTE ]
Have you seen the animaton on those temp powers? Enough people fired those off at once, you'd definitely kill the raid off through lag.
[/ QUOTE ]
But for about 5 seconds, it would look sweet. We could blow Hami up in the air and I'd be all 'You got like three feet of air that time.' -
The holding plan is still the best way to go IMO. There are a number of other things we can do to organise a good holding team and with luck get enough people to stick a hold.
I'd love to try other ideas but agree that a test raid might be the way forward for that scenario.

Moreover, maybe a combiantion of both controlling and blasting can work here - if the holds aren't staying for that long, maybe he can be held just for the 55%-45% of the hitting, and again at the lower point-mark
[/ QUOTE ]
If you have him held and drop his health to below 50% but THEN he breaks out there'll still be a Mito Spawn. -
The idea about nukes is a good one, a -res and -regen debuff that's available to all with a little effort.
Also, anyone know how HAmidon's endurance works? Since we know the mito spawn is power based that could be another way to neuter him. -
Well the information I had said it was what would happen but I'm willing to bet that's happened very few times and probably not within a short space of time meaning the information could be not entirely relevant or just plain out of date. We could always give it our best shot since even if that went wrong we'd at least be able to reliably plan around it in future.
-
Forewarning that getting Hami under 50% isn't the hard part, it's keeping him under. His regen is outrageous and since AKAIK it happens every 20 secs in a large chunk we don't have the benefit of trying to match a constant rate of regen
Imagine surviving a mito spawn only to cause another seconds later. I have confidence in the normal raid plan though, or at least the organisation for everything to go relatively to plan.

I meant it would have a main utility to knocback runners but wondered how useful the extra damage slotted is compared to where you thought you might put a few other slots. Although I'm not sure aobut what the spines attack chain is like on a scrapper, not so fast?
-
So no more MoG'ing through hurricane then?
I'd be suspicious of how often energy torrent is going to be a better choice than the other attacks you have available. Maybe useful with recharges to apply knockback but is there a possibility the other slots could be more useful elsewhere? -
[ QUOTE ]
yup, powerboost has bout the same effect as vanguard
[/ QUOTE ]
True, and people are encouraged to use it as much as possible.
And yes, I assume the plan is to use Accelerate metab and kinetics to effectively floor recharge without recred enhancements, allowing for 6 slotting hold to 105%. Although at 105% boost holds are still about 30% shorter than before.
