Thanks for the report. I love the million and one Doom posts. It's a bunch of people complaining about the cooking of the head cook of a resturant purely on descriptions of what he likes to have for lunch.

As a pen and paper rpg game mistress, I often think about how I would my campaigns over if I started over. I also think about what I am not personally happy with and what areas of the game could go smoother. Of course, what I think of the game and what I do are entirely different things. From what you report, I didn't see much of anything that was going to happen, just what was on States' mind. Are we so devoid of fights to wage that we have to pick on the Devs for their opinons? I'd rather save that rage for actual changes.

I am always amazed by the ability of a crappy player to switch back and forth between not so bad and so bad I want to kick them. I am convinced the bad times are when they are munching too much candy, caffiene or beer.

Thanks for the journals, they're a lot of fun.

At one of the bridges in Independence Port there is a statue of a woman dominating the landscape. Somewhere I read that she was a speedster who saved IP during one of the disasters. I remember the story, but can't tell you the badge, history plaque or heck, it may have been in the back story of one of the comic books. Regardless, I'd like to see her story laid out.

Also, how about Galaxy Girl? Other than a plaque, she has no other mention in the game.

Second, when somebody of an ethnic group feels left out, no amount of shouting them down is going to make them feel included. We're not talking about Casablanca, or music groups, we're talking about the City of Heroes comic book so changing the subject shows you are either a bad debater or you know you can't defend the original accusation.

The poster had a complaint and he voiced it. He was letting people know that the dissappearance of Horus and Back Alley Brawler was dissappointing. We went from having a black man being one third of the team to none at all. I know I was dissappointed but I understand that the writer had to work with the characters in the game, who a large portion of happen to be white. If they ever do a Back Alley Brawler story arc, I'd be thrilled. Granted, I won't be thrilled if he is as whiney and self centered as the bunch I'm reading about now

Now, let's start a rant about how a feminist like me feels about Statesman absorbing the spirit of Zeus, a God most known for fathering children on willing and unwilling women.

Kid you not, I use the History channel. Every morning they have some random show on who knows what. I turn it on during breakfast and watch everything from Wild West Technology to World War I politics to Ancient Wonders of the World. It's a random spark to my creativity for the rest of the day.

Obviously I have spent too much of my time trying to educate Freakshows. I had no idea the Trolls were this desperate for some Kape-Teaching.

I'm impressed. The changes haven't even made it to Test and it's the WORSE THING TO HAVE EVER HAPPENED.

I want to second that. It can be a generic statement of greatness, but I think it would be great to have among the usual chatter.

I for one am glad they lowered the difficulty. It was a hard mission, and it was an exciting mission, but it was also time consuming to have to revisit the three people first before doing the mission over. My scrapper did just fine with it but my friend's blaster was getting mezzed by Anathemas and red bosses were crushing the memorial. It wasn't hard, it was just boring to see the memorial disintegrate before he knew what was happening.

The idea that capes are a carrot to goad people to level 20 is silly. Do you need a prize to hit level 20? Have you ever made a character and gotten to level 19 and decided that you are fine staying at that level? To me, a cape is nice distraction from the cycle of level, buy enhancements, talk to contacts. It's a short history lesson and a feeling of protecting the past when you are done. I wish there were more missions like it.

I went to Faultline for my Gear Smashing badge. I think I saw another person just once, and he was lvl 37.

Earlier I went to Perez to take out some Hellions. I'd get the two I needed and superspeeded to the next group. I assumed with superspeed that I would leave the rest of the Hellions far behind. Apparently not. I happened to look behind myself and saw about forty mobs chasing me uselessly. Oops.

I really wonder though if in a week or two if this will be a problem any more.
