Immortal is the only one I am sad about.
I was the only Immortal, excluding Ant, who stopped playing for the most part.
And, my main has 9B on him at the moment and no Leader. With the lowered requirements, I am still approximately 60M away. I never understood why earnings from sales couldn't count.
'Grats on all those epics at once. It will likely be badges abound for several people as they log on. -
I think that may have been the pre-download patch.
I recall downloading something that size as I closed out the game about two weeks back. -
I am still holding your second runner-up name. I did trade the other one. What times are you on or can you get on?
As for what to do first, if I decide on a Villain, I may roll it and stick it wherever Oz is getting his pL'd.
In the interim, I will likely be on my main Villain working some solo, seven-man spawns of +2 and +3 enemies to finish off the Leader Badge, since its requirements have been insanely reduced.
(I suspect Net will be doing the same ..)
EDIT: I knew Net had his mind on badges. Wonder if you'll pass me. -
Even on your Peacebringer? And, your Villain?
And, blue like your costume(s) or another shade? -
24MB? Hmm .. I might want to sneak home and start that now.
Otherwise, that will surely take the majority of my lunch break while sucking the entirety of my bandwidth, preventing me from even playing Conan. -
So, with i16 apparently on the horizon ..
I was curious, what are you planning to do first?
Roll a new toon? Fire Control/Earth Assault Dominator? Willpower/Electric Melee Tanker?
Try the new exemplar features to help a friend, while feeling the power of +5 level powers?
Find Kahlan to snag that Master of the Imperious Task Force badge?
As for me, I really don't know.
I have this concept itch for a Hero, but the majority of my friends are Villain-centric.
So, what about you? -
Were the patches from today large, by any means?
I'm on third world internets. Just trying to get an idea of how long it'll be before I can get on. -

Quote:Ebil? Only slightly, as you're hoping the numbers manipulate one's thoughts.(Now here's where I might be getting ebil.) However, if I make 5 other bids - at say 1 Inf, so there's no chance of me actually buying anything - I can artificially increase the apparent demand, therefore hoping that I can charge a premium price. (On the assumption that buyers will see that Demand is higher than Supply and will therefore - hopefully - be more willing to pay a higher price.)
Is this ebil?
Illegal?
Immoral?
Against the game rules?
>.>
<.<
Have you ever done it?
No, I have never done this. Stick a needle in my eye and all that. But what I have done is, if I had a lot of a particular thing to sell, and there were just a few for sale and only a few more bidding, is put one thing at a time on the market, then just watch until it sold, then add another, watch until it sold......etc.
Illegal? I lol'd.
Immoral? I don't think so, but I'm not a patron saint.
Against the rules? Hardly. Do it if it feels fun.
But, I'm with someone else who mentioned the slot used to place these false bids could likely be better used actually making monies.
If you're looking to be ebil, this is what you need to be doing; keeping the casual player poor. -
Quote:I think I am pretty much in this boat.I'm interested in seeing the game get more refinement as it works it's way through alpha/beta, especially with the animations which are very rough right now, because who the hell doesn't want to fight alongside Superman Batman and Wonder Woman.
The guy who was explaining the controls did not mention it being in pre-alpha, and for whatever reason, I want to say he said pre-beta.
So, it made me think what I had at my hands was what would be pushed out for the masses to play, and it was sorely disappointing. It gave me the clap.
As I mentioned in a post about a month back, right as I got back from Cali', I mentioned how some of the cooler things was Super Speed taking you up walls, across water and on ceilings, as Flash and one of the created characters were zipping around doing.
(It did not look as cool as Synapse, but again .. pre-alpha)
And, in a gameplay video they showed off to the side, there were created characters fighting alongside Green Lantern. Green Lantern is baller.
Alas, I think it's the lack of subscription fee that's the most enticing, as I like Marvel more than DC (face it, their villains are terriBAD) and I still pay for this and Conan. And, if people go to Aion, I'll need like Kat to pay for my sub there. -
You still can for that amount.
You can soft-cap a character for that price.
You won't have any Uniques from the Heal sets or multiple Gamblers, but neither of those are really needed. They're just desirable flavor. -
.. I have about fifteen at level ten.
They are in storage.
I have two level eleven and a level twelve on the market right now, though.
All are crafted. -
Wow, Ace.
That is seriously a beautiful picture.
A shame what they had as actual gameplay looked nothing like that and felt worse.
Again, I am now giving it the benefit of the doubt since you've mentioned it is in pre-alpha. But, I can probably show you some beautiful pictures of Detroit that might make you want to move there.
Quote:From what they had at Comic Con, and what was explained to me, you will not be playing as signature heroes and villains, but alongside them. While I was PvP'n, Superman was moving around laser beaming *******.From what I understood you would be able to fight alongside of the signature heroes, not as them. Granted, its hard to know which information is real and which is speculation right now.
That being said, free to play? This even has me interested after I had decided not to bother with it.
And, free is a wonderful price. If that's true, I am sure I'll give it a shot. -
Quote:Uh, I played it. Right there on the center of three consoles set up at the very end of the San Diego Convention Center, right after coming out of Hall H from James Cameron's Avatar screening. It hasn't gone to alpha yet, so no one has first hand knowledge of the game, not even the "blows like a tornado" informant[s].
Well some mmo sites have of course, here's a few snippets from the most recent.
The visuals of the game are stunning, not like the plastic look of co, but more like what a real coh 2 might look like.
If the game plays remotely like coh, while free to play, with the dc title, locations (metropolis/gotham/atlantis/krypton), and nearly endless characters and stories to develop, hard to see the blows like a tornado thing working out. O-\-<]:
Not being Alpha may explain why it did blow like a tornado.
I did not see any stunning visuals. Not in the positive sense, anyway. So, I'm wondering ..
When did you try the game? Huzzah? -
Quote:Do you not play the market, then?Same. I try to limit myself to only purchasing items under 100 million. It works out pretty well with some patience.
Or did you simply mean for things you plan to use?
Like, I'll purchase that Armageddon: Damage for 200M, knowing I can sell two more at 400M (as I did).
Quote:I was really hoping that they would increase the drop rate of them a long time ago. It unfortunately seems like that will never happen at this point. =/
Granted, I've only managed three recipes from one arena sitting one time, potentially many more could have been acquired. Now, you're limited to a possible six.
And, PvP isn't as it was, so I find trying to acquire all of the necessary pieces and sets, at their current standpoint and price, as too great of a time sink for something sub-par and infrequent.
I'm probably with you and Silas, though. If drop rates were ever increased, I'd likely slot out my lol main and another character's second build for the occasional PvP bout. -
Quote:If it is /anything/ like what they had at Comic Con ..I *do* have one question, though: I thought DCO was going to be pretty sweet but now I'm hearing it blows like a tornado through a trailer park. Any 1st hand knowledge on this? Is it worth trying?
They need to kill each and every staff member. Right. Now. -
You read only the first post. Then, replied.
That's what happened. -
.. Is that even the same person?
-
-
.. I like the animations.
-
Quote:I'm guessing you meant ask me nicely ..Hmm maybe if we can nicely Bronx would come post the screen shot he has of the original thread. I closed it already
But, since the thread got locked, I'll link the screen of the original post (before it was butcher-edited) once I go home for lunch in another hour or two.
Chaos had a bit more fun with it than anyone else. -
The same way a lot of people immediately associate bacon with me, the moment they see it or smell it, I've apparently been tainted with your name the moment I see or hear something remotely squirrel-y.
So, while I am thinking you've already heard about this today, here's some squirrel publicity for you.
Bacon is still better.
