Should I wait?
Newp, there are always marketears to collect.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
I end up so casual these days though, see I'm temporarily neck deep in three jobs, two of which are full time, so sometimes I forget about a sale... but you're right. A true ebil marketeer holds no fear of collecting tears.
I've done what you decribed the last couple of issues and the last double exp, and I regretted it. The reason I did so previously, was a loss of several million in listing fees when certain prices tanked. That said, it's not worth it to me anymore to sit on the sideline while all the real money is being made.
If I lose some, it will be small compared to what I might make instead, and it's easy to make more.
"I do it better than anybody you've ever seen do it.
The screams from the haters, it's got a nice ring to it.
I guess every super hero needs his theme music .."
I finally made my billion and I want to make more, but I'm concerned. I'm not sure what direction the market will swing in i16. I can see reasoning for things to go in either direction.
I don't want to get hit with a billion inf worth of devalued merch if the market crashes while my inventory is full so I've stopped all transactions for the time being. Do you think this is a good plan or am I missing out on some premo opportunities (of which I don't expect you to share, but by all means...) Anybody else holding off until after the ish drops? |
I'm laying off buying purple recipes and selling the crafted purple IO's since I think the supply may increase with I16. But I'll still be in there messing around in the marketplace.
Think about possible outcomes of the I16 changes and see if your market predictions are correct.
For instance...
If the difficulty slider = more 50's soloing and getting purple drops,
-and-
The AE 'nerf' cuts down on the AE farming and rapid leveling,
-then-
Might we end up with fewer PL'd players -- and see ones that are actually leveling up 'normally' and IO'ing out their characters along the way instead of just when they ding 50?
Is it worth taking a look at set IO's that top off in the 30-45 range where the leveling rate seems to slow and people have inf to buy IO sets for the bonuses? Maybe.
We don' need no stinkin' signatures!

Actually I never really got into khelds... can I have five purple scrappers? And perhaps a partridge in a pear tree?
I think I'm going to lay off buying purps as well, as some others have pointed out. I don't suspect i16 is too far off now anyway, I think I'm just going to drop some lowball bids on some safe bets and go play my traps/AR defender on test...
