...also, I think we should run some (short) low level TF as a family to get levels for folk who want levels...
I might be down for a lowbie TF...of course, I'd have to get out of teh Base long enough to attain the minimum lvl required for such an endeavour
Then again, I'm not sure how much 'help' a human-only PB would be, aside from shooting energy beams out of her eyes, hehe...
guess I'll wrangle that goat* when I get to it

Quote:Thank you!I checked out the 88 base for the first time.
Wow, that is amazing.
Quote:Ditto love the runway off the hanger area, also a thing of note can't we hire a temp to guide us around I got lost took a few minutes to find my way out.

Quote:Ditto that.
I'm just exploring it now, and the bags of money hanging over the pyre particularly cracked me up.
hehe... thanks.
I've some RL stuffs that is keeping my in-game time in check currently, though I 'should' have the base done* by the time the Chalet opens.

Quote:Hmm, on the EU site (I'm also in the EU) in £ the super boosters are £5.99, the Mac, GvE and Wedding packs are £5.99 and the Party and GR packs are £4.99.
However, somewhere in this thread Black Pebble confirmed the price for this pack (in US$) is the same as the Super Boosters.
Edit:
BP's post: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showt...23#post3275423 Has the price in all 3 currencies and match the 'super' booster prices.
Thank you for the link...
In that case, while for me, personally, the $9.99 is 'worth' what I'll be getting in the origins pack, I feel if the devs make a distinction between packs (super booster; booster; mini booster -the jump pack thingy)
that distinction should consistently reflect in their pricing of them.
I hadn't read BP's post, hence I myself posted in ignorance...my bad <.<

Quote:Are the buick and the chevy the same price? The booster pack is the same price as the super booster so it's fair to compare what you get for your money in the 2.
actually they aren't, at least not on my end: super boosters go for 8.99, and regular boosters for 5.99 -
Quote:TR, if you set up one of the unfinished rooms as a salvage storage depot, I'd help fill them with anything you need.....
Of course, if you're just saying all this talk has motivated you to make some l00tz, well then cheers!
I've actually begun with that, using one of the Workshops right off the entrance, which I considered 'claiming' as Azure Albedo's 'shop and loft'
(salvage storage and worktables on bottom, apartment on top level)
But yes, the motivation to start marketeering as a sideline is there <.<
TR -
well,
looks like I'll be turning into a flipper by default, considering all the marketeering I need to do to get the salvage for building our new shinies.
I guess before long, I'll be tossing Inf. into the pit with the rest of you ;p

Quote:Taste indeed varies, but the origin pack is considered an upgrade compared to the party pack, which I wouldn't dispute. But compared to the other boosters it is lackluster.
Well, IMHO the party pack is the only pack one can compare this origin pack to, and I agree it is a step up from that, and also worth the price.
As to the other 'super' boosters, they are a similar, yet different thing (note the 'super' there).
I mean come on people, you can't compare a Buick GN to a Chevy Monte Carlo, even if they both happen to be G-bodies.

Quote:Took care of the pvp sg badge. Not sure what the Fusion Generator does exactly. This is just a heads up for our base builder in case it was wanted/needed.
Marvelous!
I'll check what salvage I need for it, and will get it taken care of.
I think there are 3 SG badges we still need atm, will check and make sure next time I'm on, then post here.
That being said, I probably wont be around until late tuesday/early wednesday.
Also, as more rooms are taking shape, if anyone has any requests, now's the time to let me know.

Thanks for all the feedback, guys...
Quote:Bonfire is indeed quite handy, I picked it up at 41 ;pNeither power seems like a good choice for your intended playstyle (although I have very limited information to go on, I am extrapolating from your statement that either would be highly situational). I'd recommend something else. I agree with the above poster about Rise of the Phoenix; it is a great power. Bonfire could be quite handy as well since Archery can make a great ranger.
as for 'something else'...I'd considered Maneuvers, actually, but i don't know if that's worth it, on a blaster.
Quote:What is your current attack plan ?
Stealth to the center of spawn, Aim, Build Up, Rain of Arrows as a pbaoe, while rain animates Fire Sword Circle ?
Or are you doing something more along the lines as spot spawn, aim, buildup, fire off rain of arrows, kill things as they get to you using /fire ?
If its the first Burn, if the second hotfeet.
Quote:Level 47 should be when Rise of the Phoenix unlocks in Flame Mastery. Do you have the two prereqs for it? It's a pretty hand power to have.

Hi,
so, I have a Arch/Fire/Flame Blaster a few missions away from level 47 and can't seem to make up my mind on which of those powers to take.
Both have their advantages, but regardless of which i choose, it would be a highly situational power. Quite frankly, if the game wouldn't force me to take a power at 47, i wouldn't take either of them...i kinda just want to know which is the lesser of two evils ;p
thanks for any insight,

(anyone here ever play Baldur's Gate 2 back in the day?)
back in the day? I still do, now and then <.<
to the OP:
Kat/Regen was my first 50 and is still one of my favorite scrappers to play.
I agree with Arkadian on Flashing Steel...since you're planning on Lotus Drops anyway, you can respec out of it, then; but if you solo exclusively from 1 to 50, i'd pick that little gem up. -
Thanks for the link, NP
...also, did some more building; started on the smaller Porter room, and the Trauma center
more to come ;p -
Quote:Thank youThat Pyramid stairwell looks awesome.
Redlynne use HAnging LAmps to stack downwards.
Quote:... Is there a shortcut method for floating things downwards like the Large Accent Lamp+Floor Tile trick, or is it more of a brute force repetition sort of thing?
I don't have the link handy, but -stacker, whom to my knowledge is the original 'creator' of the lightstairs, has a nifty how-to video on youtube somewhere. -
A few days ago, I was given the privilege to design/build the Crazy 88's base on Virtue; knowing that a lot of you love screenies, I decided to post some, as I work on this mammoth project.
Here's the first batch: Entry, 2 Workshops, and a Porter room, these are all still WiP's, but I wanted to share anyway ;p
More to come soon,
TR
Edit: Oh my! I guess I'll have to resize the next batch...my bad -
...that's me
So, I've started building, and for those of you interested in what 'theme' i'll be using, it's simple...Money
I initially wanted to plan out the entire base, then start building according to that plan; but, as happens so often, the best laid plan is only good until the first shot is fired (or in my case, the first desk is stacked).
This Base isn't one of my RP Bases, which need to adhere to certain guidelines in overall design, instead, each room can -and will- in its own unique way, be dedicated to one thing: Inf (and/or the destruction thereof, as in the Inf Incinerator Pit i'm currently building in one of the workshops).
Nethergoat has volunteered to post screenies of my progress as I...
well... progress
So, all that said, thanks for letting me do this, and I hope y'all will like it, when it's done.
TR -
I generally stack a floorsafe to the desired height, then plop a floortile on it, and make the floor with my desks of choice
-
Thank you! yes,that works...
i will have to make note of that workaround ;p -
just double checked, even clicked on the 'buy now' to be taken to the item, but the US version link is NOT to be had with the packs...
which sucks, cause i need a few for my other two accounts and of course the mutant pack -
Hi,
i initially wanted to post this in the player questions forum, but since a number of you have US accounts as well, i figured i'd ask here:
Booster Packs...the last one i bought was the martial arts one, and i seem to recall an 'us version also available' notification under the 'buy now' button
looking at the items in the NCSoft store now, this notification no longer appears with the pack (though still with all the versions of the game)
can the european booster packs be used on US accounts? or is there some way that takes me to the US NCSoft store? i always get automatically redirected to the Euro-store :/
thanks for any info -
just crashed out of the tailor screen in steel canyon Icon, wanted to get the magic bolero on my character, but the option was missing (yes, i have the magic pack).
I figured i look under robes and or unique tops, see if it was moved, when i got a error message something about /piggs shared files robe_warrior...something, and to run patcher again...
which i am doing atm... just wondered if this happened to others as well? -
Thanks!
I used tall..uh office? or standing? lamps...can't recall the exact name atm, most are set to 'off' with like 3 or 4 on each side being 'on', for a soft lighting effect. -
hi, so i haven't posted pics for a few days, so here's where i am with the base...
workshop is getting finalized (still), and i finished CiC (the base's control bunker).
my next project is the large TP room, this has remained unchanged since i built it in i13, i like it as is, but it needs 'something' still, i think...not much...
actually, i'll just post the question here ;p does the TP room look too simple? or should i leave it as is?
i probably wont get any building done this week, due to time constraints, but i'll throw some more screenies up, as i get things done. -
older shows that haven't been mentioned yet, but i found pretty good:
