Coming to Adult Swim. It's not "Richard Nixon action figure with kung-fu grip and nunchuck-swinging action" awesome, but I'm still rather excited.

To hate Batman: the Brave and the Bold is to hate Awesome itself.

Quote:Triple, if'n you count the A Different World open. That, immediately followed by Pierce waking up with a painting of Chevy Chase from Caddyshack hanging over his bed made the scene doubly-meta

The episode said tweets lead to was also a thing of hilarity. I was partial to Troy's Spider-Man jammies in the opening. Also every facial expression Allison Brie made. Plus Betty White.
There was a ton to enjoy there, now that I think about it. -

It's got a mad scientist protagonist. How could I not be excited?
-
Sarah Connor could do it.

For those wondering exactly what kind of awesome Sir Terry Pratchett brings, man made his own skymetal sword.

I blame myself for making the seeing process opt-in...a month and a half ago. In my defense, there's zero reason to point out promotional material for a film like this except there's something up with it.

There is no reason to not want this to happen with every fiber of your being.

Quote:A rebuttal.I confess to being able to answer both sides of the question, I will state simply that, no I do not hate fun.
This is a throwback to the 60's/70's/early 80's stuff that I started to loath as a kid, much less a grown kid. It reminds me of Batman and Robin, the Schumacher film.
Camp can be good, but this is to much for me. It's an extreme departure from the comics, and the character himself. I remember reading the Batmite stuff in the comics, and I was not impressed then either.
Where as The Batman I was disappointed in the art style, and the depictions of the villains, in Batman:TAS I found the perfect depiction of Batman as well as his cast. There were bits of humor thrown in that were very Batman-ish. There was also continuity, and consequences. People died. Maybe not messily, but people died, and it brought a drama to the show.
Batman:TBaTB harks back to the Adam West style cartoony villains and jokes, and I can't take that. I snubbed it when Sho first loaded the poster for it, and every link that I have seen has made me very glad I have snubbed it. The only funny thing about that trailer was Green Arrow, and his "Can I be Batman", due to Ollie's Bat-envy. The voices annoyed me, as did the artwork. -

While I'm not going to advocate making it a long term thing, I'm okay with Zoe/Zane as a means to permanently associate Zane with the need to vomit in Jo's mind.

If I want this to fail so hard Sony gets out of the Spider-flick business, does that make me a bad person?
