Quote:You could be paralyzed and poking the keyboard with a mouth stylus and the miniscule movement boost from AM still shouldn't present a real problem. Can you not handle the blazing speed of Sprint, either?I love how people are so quick to judge without actually thinking some times.
Who said it was anything to do with my graphics card? I could be 60 with arthritis for all you know! -
That could be especially awesome alongside a device-based control set.

Quote:Stacked bread slices don't work (or work very poorly) for a number of purposes one would want thick bread slices for (for instance: sandwiches, french toast, or garlic bread). Meanwhile a thicker bread slice can be compressed or sliced thinner by those who prefer thinner slices for whatever insane reason. So, given the choice between thick slices or thin slices, thick slices would be the way to go. But a good dark rye would be better than wheat or white.Knowing Ultimo_, he wouldn't post about how great wheat bread is. He'd post that bread slices are too thin. He'd propose that bread slices be made twice as large. People could suggest to him that he just stack two pieces of bread on top of each other, and he'd say no, that's not fair. He shouldn't have to compromise--bread should only be cut twice as large...or you are trolling him.

Quote:I've been out clearing and burning brush in temperatures of around 40-45 degrees C before, and it's certainly no fun. But it was a dry heat which is far better than the 30+ C with insane humidity that's been hanging around here the past few days.Try working in a shop with NO AIRCON!
According to the thermometer it actually hits 40 degress C inside the shop, it's a literal sweat shop!*
*That's if the customer didn't wish to purchase or rent DVDs and instead purchase sweat...
Keep in mind that we Brits rarely ever see temperatures that high...like..ever...though oddly am getting use to it slowly. -
Quote:27 degrees C is about 6-8 degrees C too warm for me.Hmm...that gives me a chance to go stick my head in the fridge for a bit, then set up the Xbox...
I tell ya, 27 degree C is not the weather to have a 6 hour drive down the motorway.
For you yanks, the motorway is like the big, multi lane roads we Brits have, and 27 degree Centigrade is what we call 'The Right Temperature' -
I just want to press it once, but first it has to appear.

Quote:I like it when they arrive by cab, and despite these signs they get out of the cab and send it away and then get all indignant when you don't have a room for them and they no longer have a cab on hand.My favorite is when they walk right by the two signs saying "NO VACANCY" flanking the door, walk up to the desk that has a sign saying "NO VACANCY" right next to it and ask me "Do you have any rooms?".
When we're sold out, I get a half a dozen people a shift like that.
In more topical news: in my experience, the Boosters are usually up in the store by the time scheduled maintenance is scheduled to be over. -

I would hate such a change. One of the awesome things about Force Bubble is its sheer size. I like to fly around with it on just to show off my awesomely huge bubble. It's one of the few powers I've gotten and thought "okay, now THAT is a super power" when I activated it.

Quote:I'm sure it is unfortunately the most efficient way, but I find the process so mind-numbingly dull that I can't bring myself to delve into it to that extent. If I were interested in efficiency I probably wouldn't be buying crafted basic IOs when I could be crafting them myself.making a pile of inf so huge that the price of stuff effectively doesn't matter is much easier than kitting out a character by waiting around for stuff you want to drop.
Fury has made nearly 500 million inf in a few days using tactics available to anyone. I make 100 million every time I step into the MA building. All from taking a few minutes to craft drops. However little you enjoy the process it's clearly the most efficient way to get what you want. -
Quote:The purchase history is all I have to go on for making potentially viable bids. Making low shots in the dark that may never hit their mark and waiting weeks on end to get lucky doesn't appeal to me.Keep in mind that the BUY NAO! prices you're using to make your judgement are substantially higher than what a patient bidder would expect to pay.
Also, if I'm buying a recipe/salvage it's because I want/need it right then. If I put it off for a week or more, there's a good chance I'll forget exactly what I was up to.
Quote:Why does crafting something you will personally slot rate higher on the entertainment scale than crafting something you can get a big pile of inf for which you can use to buy things to personally slot?
Both lead to the same goal and the second option will get you there much faster. -
That would be my suggestion as well. Indeed, I'm one to skip Mayhem/Safeguard missions altogether.
-
I haven't played one redside, but I recently started up a Traps/Psi Defender and have been enjoying it so far. It seems to be a decent set gameplay-wise thus far, though I can't say I like the look of it. And three of the powers seem pretty skippable to me.
And there was another Traps thread around here wherein the patrons were claiming that every secondary goes well with Traps. -
Could be. I haven't taken any of the melee attacks, nor any attacks that would cause redraw. I typically spam AoEs interspersed with single target ranged attacks. If I could reliably have Luck inspirations on hand I'd feel comfortable soloing at higher spawn sizes, but as it stands he tends to take too much damage to risk more enemies.

I find my Crab (I believe he's level 32-34 now) is awesome on teams, but can evaporate the blue bar a bit quickly at times.
Solo, however, I find he's far too squishy and his Endurance issues become even more apparent. At the moment I can't see him soloing at anything/x8, and indeed found soloing at x1 difficult enough that I gave him a Bane secondary build to switch to for soloing. Defensive IO set bonuses and pets could go a long way to alter that, I imagine. I certainly don't have room for Tough and Weave in the build, and given his Endurance issues I wouldn't want to be running them anyway. -
You've already made as much in one day as I might make in a week if I was both lucky and managed to maintain focus on one character.
Was it really necessary to craft the Steadfast, though? Seems like the recipes alone were going for as much or more than that last I checked. -
Quote:Global accuracy isn't something I find I'd need to shoot for, generally. You can get over 30% recovery bonus cheap (in that 20-30 million range). You can get 200% regen in the same range. Global accuracy isn't too pricey either.
The Recovery is something I achieved (or nearly so) by necessity on my Toggle Man inspired build, but on most other characters I have isn't something that I would find particularly useful. I did that about a year ago, I believe, and the availability of recipes in general seems to have gone down a great deal since then.
Regen might be something to aim for on some characters. Perhaps my Defense-based characters who I'll likely not be able to softcap.
Quote:Global recharge or defense bonuses would be far more expensive.
I could try going for merits, but in my experience merit rewards are far too meager for the time and effort involved.

Quote:Yes, a purely subjective appraisal may turn out to be a fact. But in the meantime it is still a purely subjective appraisal even to the person who holds it.An opinion can turn out to be fact, just as a belief can. I can have an opinion that turns out to be true, too.
On the other hand, a belief is typically a fact to the person who holds it even if it is unproven.

If I'm the only tank in the group, I prefer to charge in first and bop the nearest boss on the nose (or multiple bosses and Lts with an AoE if I have one). Then I generally run through my attacks and toss a Taunt, if I have it, at the edge of the group (or at an enemy I see turning towards one of my teammates).
If I'm not the only tank in the group, I like to hang back for a moment and let the other tank charge in, then move in myself and try to pick up stragglers.
If I'm a Scrapper, I like to charge in ahead of the tank screaming like a banshee and make the Defender's life more interesting.
