    Oro Portal bug

My first thought (being mostly a villain myself) was that maybe Numinas was ex'ing below the lvl mark for oro and that was flagging it. However on checking it seems Numina's TF is 35-40 so I dont really have any theory to throw out.

TFs are something on test that rarely do EVERY one get tried. Usually many are run but not all. Or maybe it was ran and oro wasnt used in the particular combination that yielded the bug your seeing. Bugs are sneaky, remember that.

Have you ran other TFs and checked if the issue is unique to TFs or unique to Numinas? Have you checked to see if the same effect occurs on a lvl 40 team (the same level range as Numinas) between missions?

Just because you guys file a bug report, and don't see a bug fixed immediately, does not mean those bug reports aren't being utilized.
Babs, thanks for the confirmation. There's a lot of us here that LIKE doing troubleshooting work (infact I tend to prefer breaking stuff and betas to actually playing the game) but its easy to lose faith that what we're doing is useful when we see stuff like this without knowing whats really going on. You guys do an awesome job, and I cant imagine the stress you've been under with this issue messing with all your precioussssess animations. We appreciate you taking the time to give us some feedback, means a lot.

To me, its a bigger problem than that, because we bugged this during open beta. Something went amiss after we did apparently. That's the reason I'm still confused how it made it to live. I kinda liked my little belief that they actually read our /bug tickets.
  4. I just checked test (my stalker finally re-copied), and the current Test build works correctly.
  5. Babs,

Please excuse the really really bad quality of these videos. Third one may be the most useful.

  6. I guess other than double-checking it when I cant log in, I've already pretty much given up on that page actually working. It does feed into our guildportal site and sometimes cause some confusion there, but I think all in all many of us just ignore it unless something else is *****. Missing gametime suchs, sorry to hear you missed some Tex.

In my sigline is a link for coh helper and hijack this... grab em and post their output please so we can look at the full system specs.

Also, as FMJ says, we need the actual error message.
  8. For me I see Updated: 2009-09-21 11:50:02 UTC (its 6:50 CST here 9-21). I dont know my CST to UTC conversion but this seems right. I show all servers up except training room (unknown). Am I missing something? Yeah the server downtime notice is still there from friday but thats a real code change I believe and doesnt affect anything major.
  9. Doc is right, that *IS* the nature of this game. Its going to stand your CPU full bore open. Its going to do it whether you have a single core P4 or a high end dual core (maybe a quad too for all I know). Its not your pc, its the game, and its not particularly a problem assuming you have a pc with adaquate airflow and minimal dustbunnies.

I'll send additional information this way shortly, several in our VG have been bugging it since beta. Basically it took the "strike" out of the Assassin Strike. They crouch/prep, pause, damage is dealt, stand up. Very odd animation hiccup. Not sure how it got to live.

  12. Roid & Shajin,

You guys both need to start new threads if you havent already. One is for help with pre-purchase PC specs and the other is for help with an ATI card that may or may not be crashing to exactly this issue. There are countless varieties of crashes and you have not provided me nearly enough information. Roid, when you post, be sure to post your COHHelper & HijackThis logs as well or no one else will be able to assist you till you do. Shajin, start a thread and get input, we can tell you approximately your performance, however there are countless odd-ball cases where we see random issues that most dont suffer from. No one can ever promise you in advance you wont suffer from them. That said, spec-wise they can give you lots of feedback and ideas.

  13. AK,

Sorry for my slow reply I've been afk the last couple weeks.

Looks like I can't get you back to my preferred 181 driver, however I stumbled across a 185 beta driver that looks interesting.

Here's the deal though. I dont know if your on 32 or 64 bit.

More details here, with a product supported tab:
    http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7_x64_185.81_beta.html

Then there is also a whql:
    http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7_x86_185.85_whql.html

From a Vista standpoint you have a lot of room now to work with both this patch and the 180 series drivers bringing further stability in most cases. However, I personally would rather assist you in troubleshooting the win7 box until we exhaust all options than see you roll back to vista. I guess that said, since you HAVE a vista copy, I think dual-booting (with coh/cov on another partition so it can be shared) is really in your favor atm.

All of this said - please please please - take your original post, my post, and all of your diagnostic logs your gonna post for me and start a new thread. If your planning to dual-boot vista and work on both issues at once, please post logs from both OSs so we can look at the full scope of the issue.

The reason I have most of my extensions currently disabled is that somewhere in the bunch at least one, and more likely several, were creating massive memory leaks since moving to 3.5 (causing FF to complain of a low memory state). In a couple weeks I will recheck them and see how many are still leaking.

Yes, 20 hex. I'll try to clear that up when I edit the guide soon. Thanks!
  16. I'm seeing the same thing Teeko is. Getting back on freedom is nay on impossible atm even though its 2-yellow.
  17. Yeah no evidence of yellow resends tonight. I did get kicked from the network maintenance at the top of the server page, but that (as noted) cleared up in about 15 min. All in all server looked pretty good tonight. Glad to see them taking care of maintenance before 2xp lagfest.

    System Slowdown

The link for coh helper and hijack this are in my sig, just run them and post the results for each please.
  19. Definitely sounds like the oddity I've been chasing the last 2 nights on Freedom. I'm east of St. Louis MO (Illinois side) and have a local ISP that connects through Cogentco's upline. I was seeing a lot of moderately brief sharp yellow spikes or narrow blocks in the netgraph, a lot of packet resend. It was also impacting my teamate who is located in SC. I dont know his ISP although he was on the map with me, so also Freedom.
  20. Twilight, I just started having this on my Win7 box as well. I chased this bug all morning. I think a critical update we picked up about 24-48hrs ago is partially to blame. I rolled back about 3 days, and rolled back to my preferred 181 driver. I was on the 185's. I think theres a Win7 issue going on atm.
  21. I agree that this this is a case of the set not stating the facts correctly. Its certainly not the only bonus or IO or set type to need work. Its not a bug, it just is the way it is, sorry. The rest of the bonuses in the set are certainly applied, just not the +heal to that particular power. It is possible to have one heal/regen power that gets the bonus and one that does not as I seem to believe is the case in regen.
  22. It has always been this way. Its because the numbers for the resist bonus get all wonky when they apply the heal bonus. Its a complicated math/back-end issue. I only really understand it because of trying to sort the same trouble out for some regen stalker friends.
  23. Any heal that gets a +Resist(element) does not get the heal bonus applied to it. Sha gives +Res(Toxic), so therefor does not benefit from heal bonuses.

64bit Vista will recognize just about as much ram as any home board can take these days.

The limit is with the 32bit.
