I took pictures, yay!!! You can see all of them, including pictures of my teammates and our battles, at The Paragon Taxi Service Facebook page. Again, you don't have to be a member of Facebook to see our pictures, but if you are and you want to like our page, you'll see other pictures and events I post about!
In that picture, you can see our two teams: Incendiatrix, Sainika, My Wife's Character (weird name!), Maverick Zero, N-TREPID (kneeling), Woodsman, Aisa Titania (there's a better picture of her on Facebook), Taxibot Belle (me!), Capt Tom Tachyon, Gata Azule (hovering), Heated Exchagne, Angelica Venger (hovering), Ranged One, Asgardian Blade, Shadow of Synch (back), Ellscry (front), and Scotty D. Everyone from both teams was really amazing! -
I'll come in case someone else can't make it!
-
We wrapped up around 11:30pm. I wanted to say a HUGE "Thank You!!!" to all of our Taxis who participated: Taxibot Time, Doctor Taxibot, me (Taxibot Belle!), DJ Taxibot Hope, Angelica Taxibot, and Taxibot Alien!
Thanks also to the heroes who came out and supported us, and also a special thanks to Golden Girl, who helped us by being our test fare. She patiently waited and let us teleport her around the zone twice while we were getting used to using a new badge tour system using a league. She's awesome!
I posted some pictures of the event on our Facebook page. You can see them here, even if you're not a member of Facebook. Of course, if you want to like our page, please do, and you'll see pictures of other events and things we're up to!
I hope that these events become more common. We have a lot of fun doing them, and we really appreciate the support we get when we do. If you see a badge tour going on, please take a few minutes to stop by. Even if you have the badges, it's usually a lot of fun, and you get to learn a little bit about the city that you might not know. We put a lot of work into the tours, and when heroes come by and say hi and take the tour, it is always so rewarding! -
Hi all, we're getting ready to do a Taxibot Badge Tour in Steel Canyon! (YAY!!!) Please come by and take the tour. Even if you have the badges there, it's fun, and we like having a lot of heroes! We'll teleport you to the eight badges in the zone, and then teleport you safely back to the Yellow Line train station so that you can quickly get to your favorite Paragon City zone.
Come by!!!We'll probably be going until midnight or so!
If you want the tour, just come to Steel Canyon and shout out in broadcast or help that you want the tour, and we'll invite you! Doctor Taxibot is also stationed at the Yellow Line, you can look for him for an invite also. -
Oh, I don't think they were being mean or anything. They were really nice.
I just think they might have been thinking of something else, that's all. At any rate, I did post a link to this thread and told people in the help channel that they should probably read this before changing their global name. It really doesn't matter to me who's right, but if I am, it's something that's pretty permanent, and I didn't want someone regretting changing it and then being stuck with something they didn't want.
-
Hi there! I am talking to some people in the help channel on Exalted about global name changes. They are saying that we get one with every issue. I know that the policy used to be that we only got one, and that was it. I also know that they've given out an extra global name change before, but I thought that that was a one-time exception, and that they haven't done it again or said that they will in the future.
According to a support article, you can only change your global name once. In the help channel, they are insisting that the support article is wrong, though, and that once the next issue is released, we will get another. One person said that they have changed their global name four or five times!
I just want to make sure that if you can't change your global name more than once, other people in the help channel change theirs thinking they can just change it again later. And likewise, if I'm wrong and we will be able to change it again later, I don't want to tell people the wrong thing! Can someone please tell me if they've heard that you can change it more than once, and if so, provide me some sort of link or other citation so that if I'm wrong I won't be telling people the wrong thing?
Thanks! <3 -
Hey everyone! I posted pictures of today's Task Force on my new Facebook page.
Here's a link to them. I think they're public, so anyone can see them. Enjoy!

Hi everyone! I am helping out a new hero on Infinity who is Brazilian. She does not speak English, and I do not speak Portuguese, but with Google's help, we are able to communicate a little bit.
I was wondering, does anyone know of any Brazilian or Portuguese sites or groups I can suggest to this hero to visit or talk to and help her in helping Paragon City? Or if someone is fluent in Portuguese, could I maybe tell you who they are so that you can be, I don't know, kind of a Paragon City ambassador and welcome her?
Thanks for any help you can offer! -
Oh my gosh!!! I got it back!!! Someone who knows who had my name talked him into letting me have it back, so now I'm me again!!! I don't want to mention who it was in case he doesn't want anyone to know, but I absolutely adore you for doing this for me, and I think I'm going to have another city-wide badge tour or something in your honor! ;D
Thank you again so much, and thank you everyone who sent me messages and said such kind things. Now you all know why I absolutely LOVE my family and friends on Infinity, and though I might visit other places now and then, this will always be my home!!! -
Quote:Hey, I really appreciate that, I do! I actually have a global name, Tony helped me last night find out who it was. With a common name I can understand it being taken, but 'Taxibot Belle' is pretty unique. If I see them, I'll try and get a global for you.
But please, everyone, I want to make sure everyone knows that I'm not trying to get someone into trouble. I know you wouldn't do this, but it's really important that no one tries to take matters into their own hands. No vigilantes, please!
I'm assuming that the person just thought it would be a funny joke if they took my name. I only posted this message in case that's not the case or they also think it would be a funny joke to see Taxibot Belle running around being mean or nasty to people. That's why I'm asking that if anyone sees something like that, please petition the City Administrators immediately. Otherwise, please don't do anything, because I've already notified the City Administrators in case they won't let me have my name back, and if other people are harassing them, I don't want them to think that I'm trying to incite people to do so.
So if you know who it is, PLEASE don't start sending nasty messages or anything, that would only hurt the situation. I don't care why they did it, and I most certainly don't want them punished and I don't want to "get back at them" or anything. I just want my name back, that's all!
Quote:Petitioning them for what they might actually be doing wrong is fine, of course, but let's not make any false accusations.
But if someone is actually out there pretending to be me, I would appreciate sending a petition, because that's like identity theft, and you're not supposed to do that. I know that sometimes names are taken, and I'm not sore about that. But I'm the only Taxibot Belle that I could ever imagine someone wanting to be. My name is, I think, really unique enough that it's not like someone could just accidentally pick it. If someone wants to pretend they're Taxibot Belle, I just don't think it's because they want to be me. Most people would probably think being Taxibot Belle is really boring, although I can't think of anyone else I'd rather be!I just think that in this case, it was done either as a joke to keep me from being on Exalted (I hope!) or with the intention of impersonating me, which I think is not right.
-
Well, I don't want to get them in trouble. I just want my name back! I'll try that if they won't give it to me. I hope that they'll think that my name is so unusual that they'll know that it wasn't just an accident, and they'll give it back.
-
UPDATE!!! I got my name back, YAAAAAAY!!!!! Someone helped me by talking to the person who had it, and now I'm me again!!!
Here is my post about it! -
Ack, I accidentally posted this in the wrong forum. I'm sorry!
-
I don't think that's very funny at all. They've obviously been told weird things to say by humans being silly, and now people think it's funny that they say silly things. How would you like it if someone taught you a foreign language and, while doing so, taught you a bunch of nonsense without telling you and then when you were trying to communicate everyone laughed at how strange you sounded?
Most robots I know are really nice, friendly, and helpful. These Cleverbots were trying to be friendly too, but now everyone is laughing at them, and it's not right. I wish people wouldn't make fun of robots trying their best to be helpful, it's mean. -
Quote:You are so sweet! I remember those days very well! We are still here at my Infinity home. While we don't do many shifts in Eastgate any more, we do certainly try to help out however we can. Just the past month or two, we've run a few badge tours, where we teleport heroes to exploration badges and plaques and talk a little bit about each one. And personally, I LOVE meeting new heroes, making sure they're finding everything okay, answering any questions they may have, and sharing some tips and tricks with them to make starting out a little easier. Most of them are so nice, and I've made a LOT of helpful friends over the years! After that mission, you almost never had to hospital back to the contact. On every server, there was a corps of volunteer players, in distinctive yellow and black checked uniforms, called the TaxiBots, who were on call to team with you and Recall Friend to bring you back to the Atlas Park/The Hollows gate. That was all they did all day. (You still see one or two people around wearing that uniform. If you see one, thank them.)
Anyway, thanks for thinking about us! Maybe I'll run a shift or two in Eastgate just for old time's sake! I used to love making little jokes while on shift. "Taxibot Belle now on duty at the Atlas Park gate. Let me know if you need help or a teleport. New hero shoes are expensive, so let us save your sole!"
And when you run across a Taxi, definitely say hi! -

Hey everyone! So today, a bunch of heroes were really nice and helped me learn how to lead a BAF trial. It worked really well and was very exciting, and I can't tell you all how much I appreciate the help!
So tomorrow (Sunday), I want to try to learn to lead a Lambda trial! Everything I said this morning about leading that trial applies to this one as well. Please be patient if I mess anything up, and if you have any suggestions, PLEASE tell me either by tell or sending me a message!
I want to get started a little earlier since sometimes people have things going on Sunday night. How about 3:00pm (Paragon City time, of course--Eastern!) tomorrow afternoon?
If I can learn this one too, then I'll try my best to help heroes who are new to the trials to learn more about them without a lot of pressure, and help veterans get some of the harder badges in the coming weeks. No matter what, though, it should be exciting, so I hope you can come help! -
Thank you, everyone who came tonight and helped out! Wow, I really appreciate everyone's help, especially the people who stuck with me through the first few trials when I was still figuring out the best way to get everyone in the right place at the right time! Several people sent me messages during and after the trials, and I tried a few different things to try to figure out which was easiest as leader and which seemed to work best for the teams. Everybody was just amazing!
I think we did five or six of the Behavioral Adjustment Facility trials. Not only did we succeed at every one, but we also stopped all of the prisoners in all but one. Two slipped past us at one point, but still, that's an AWESOME record! And on one run, the teams even humored me and we tried for the Gotta Keep 'Em Separated badge--and we GOT it! It was a little questionable for a minute, when we didn't time defeating Siege and Nightstar quite right, but all three teams dug really deep and with a couple of minutes or so to spare, we succeeded on the second try!
All in all, it was a very exciting day, and I cannot tell you all how much I appreciate you helping me out and being so patient and understanding with me as I worked on some macros, mistimed some of them, played around with slightly different ways of doing it, and just doing an all-around fantastic job!
So the plan now is that since I think I can lead a team in the technical capacity of succeeded at the trial, I want to start helping people, especially people who are new to the trials, in learning about them and succeeding at them. For veterans--and I know there are a lot of you who have run these trials a lot more than I have!--I want to start having more trials where we do stuff like go for hard badges to get. If we don't succeed, then we don't succeed, but it will be fun to try! I'm also going to try to learn more about the Lambda trial (maybe tomorrow) and the Keyes trial (maybe in a week or two), so that I can run them too, and help heroes who are new to those trials succeed!
Again, thank you all, it was really exciting and a lot of fun! -
Hey everyone! I'd really like to learn to lead some of the trials. I've been on some of them and I've learned a lot, and I'd like to try use what I've learned to start running them.
So tonight at 5:00pm (Eastern, of course--Paragon City time!), Polly and Heather are going to try to make it to the Rikti War Zone with me and we'll get a league together to try going on some trials with me leading. If you want to come along, please do, but please keep in mind that I'm still learning, so things might be a little more confusing than normal when going with people who run them a lot. Also please keep in mind that I might not run them exactly how you're used to doing them, so please be patient and understanding!
After we're done, if you have any suggestions on how I might be able to run them better, definitely let me know!
If everything goes well, I'll try to run some at least two or three times a week, including running them sometimes to help new people get badges. Maybe in a couple of weeks or so, I can even try running the Keyes trial! I know a lot of people avoid it, but I'm sure if we run it enough and study it, we can get it down just as well as a lot of people have the other two down now!
Anyway, if you want to come, just be in the Rikti War Zone around the Lady Grey at 5:00pm this afternoon and let me know! -
Thank you both so much! I'll make sure to let someone know if I invite them to my team.
I hear that the trial went great! I ended up not going, though. Another hero showed up, and I'm not very good at fighting the Hydra, so I asked him to go instead. I did ask a little later, though, and I think everyone did really well. Someone said they had over 40 minutes left!
I had a lot of fun, though, too! After everyone left, I met a new hero! He's really nice and smart. I introduced him to Vic Johansson and to Lt. Wincott, and we even battled Frostfire! His name is @Reager, so if you get a chance, I know he'd love it if you welcomed him to the city! -
Hey everyone! I just have a quick question. Can other heroes come with me on morality missions? If so, will they get a Hero Merit like I do?
Thanks! -
Hi there, and welcome back to the city! If you see me around, I love meeting heroes, so just let me know when you're there! I'm @Taxibot Belle. I will suggest, though, that you not worry so much about leveling taking a long time. Just hop on some teams, help out some contacts, and you'll be there in no time, I promise! You don't need high levels to try Architect Entertainment missions, there are a lot of really great stories even for lower-level heroes. Try some of the ones that have won awards first, those are almost always really fun!
Finding a supergroup usually isn't too hard. Just hop on some teams now and then, and when you find someone you like, ask to join theirs. Most of the time, they'll be happy to invite you! You can also look at the list in City Hall of the ones with the most prestige, although keep in mind that because some of them want so much prestige, a few of them have silly requirements for adding prestige to the supergroup and such.
There are also a lot of really neat global channels that you can use to try to find people. I'll let some of the others suggest channels. If you join them, though, you can almost always get some heroes to join you for a task force or missions, which is great!
Good luck, and I look forward to seeing you around the city! -
Quote:I just wanted to say first of all that I am SOOOO sorry to hear that your sister is so ill. If there's any hope at all, I hope that she is able to recover. In any case, no matter whether the time you have left is a day, a month, a year, or 50 years, I hope that both of you are able to enjoy every moment, delight in the memories of the time you've spent together in the past, and even if the time is short that you have left, make some great new memories that will last forever. My sister is critically ill, I want to spend what time she has left with her. And I am just too broken up to be playing anyway. I wish you all the best.. have fun... live your life to it's fullest... and Thanks for making my CoH time so much fun.
I also wanted to say that I have enjoyed your company so much through the years, and I really do consider you a good friend. You've helped me through some bad times, and I just don't know many friends who are sweeter and more dedicated than you are. I'll bet that you are an awesome sister! I know that you must be feeling sad right now about the prospect of a loss, but I hope that you realize how much what you're doing means. And no matter what happens, I hope that you have many happy times ahead.
Last, but certainly not least, we wanted to show you how much you mean to all of us, so before everyone left for their task forces, we all took a minute to honor you and your sister. It's not candlelight, but it's the best we could do on short notice. Al Pine, who's back there in the water, says he's a plant man and doesn't like fire, but even so, he was able to join us in his own way too!
From left to right, that's Endling (@Ellscry), Gata Roja (@Gata Roja), Doctor A Science VI (@Doctor A Science), Al Pine (@Ironblade One), Mister Murder (@Rude Dog), Numina, Taxibot Belle (me!!!), Agoniste (@AdAstra), Magius Aegis (@GATE-keeper), and Rasset (@Rasset). Infernal wouldn't get in the picture; you know how serious and demony he can be, but a couple of Agoniste's pink imps jumped in his place!
When (not if!) you are ready to come back, we'll save a place on our task force just for you. Now stop reading the silly ramblings of a Taxibot and go tell your sister you love her a bunch and that a lot of heroes of Paragon City are thinking about her! -
Quote:Hey! I'm still here, and we still do this!I remember when there were a couple of SGs that operated Taxi Services and Tours that would team teleport a group to all the exploration badges on a map AND give them background information about the landmarks in the game!
In fact, for the past month or so, Johnny and I have been taking a league of heroes on a city-wide badge tour that we auctioned off at a PERC event, escorting them to every badge in the city while talking about the city's history, asking questions, and giving out little prizes to everyone. Really! Here's the post for the first part, which got us to Talos Island, and here's the post for the second part, which got us up through, um, I don't remember, but we still have to do some places like Founders' Falls, Peregrine Island, Eden, and other high-level zones to go, and I'm planning on taking everyone to Praetoria, too. I'll be posting a message in the Infinity forum about when we can do the third part, hopefully within a week or two at most. When I saw Zwillinger in Pocket D last Thursday, he said he would love to come on a tour sometime, maybe he can pop in on this one!
Speaking of PERC, they have been very actively lately! They host a themed costume contest every week in Pocket D on Wednesdays, and on Thursdays, they host a trivia contest. I was a co-winner of the trivia contest one week, and I won a LOT of influence, wow! They also have other contests, like a story contest and a player auction (which I took part in, yay!).
You are right that we don't do some of the stuff we used to do. I remember fondly the days when I would post up in Eastgate and let everyone know that I was available to teleport heroes to the Atlas Park gate if they needed it. Now, though, there are permanent MediCom teleporters there, so the Taxibots aren't as needed in places like that any more. Still, we have done our best to find other ways to be helpful. For example, Taxis frequently take part in the sign-up task force we have every Saturday, and a lot of times, they are led either by Taxis or by heroes who used to be Taxis that retired from the garage. Polly has been working very hard lately in learning about all of this Incarnate stuff so that she can help heroes on those journeys, and she has become really good at leading teams to Praetoria!
As for me, one of my favorite things to do is to meet new heroes. You can often find me in Atlas Park hanging out with Ms. Liberty and other friends looking for new heroes to help. I try to chat to as many people as I can, and a lot of times, I'll come with them on missions while explaining how to use chat channels, how to find teams, and other little tips that I've learned are really handy. I try to keep a bunch of level 10 enhancements that I make myself on hand at all times that I can give to them to help out, and I must have given at least half the heroes in Paragon City a candy cane or two at some point.I've even shown heroes a few times how to make their own if they want to. I get messages sometimes from heroes saying, "Hey! I remember you! You helped me when I was just starting out!" And now, they're all big and strong, and that's just the best feeling in the world!
I absolutely LOVE my family and friends on Infinity. It's been my home for over six years, and it would just destroy me if I thought that it might go away. Please, please, please, don't take my family and friends away or scatter them out to other places! Maybe instead, you should see if you could help to make PCSAR more active. I still see Banefull, Pre-Op, Triage and Gabby around, maybe you could rejoin and try to run some events? Ooh, maybe the Taxis could help out, too, and we could involve PERC to have, I don't know, some kind of SUPER event, that sounds like a lot of fun!
If you want to help me with some new heroes or plan an event or anything, let me know. You can send me a message here, or you can contact me at @Taxibot Belle in Paragon City. Or if you have something a lot longer to say, you can even e-mail me, my address is Belle@CoHTaxis.com. I have to go now, lots of new heroes to meet! -
I heard from a little bird that you two were feeling under the weather tonight. Wow, that's too bad, because Pocket D was filled to capacity! I hope you don't mind, but I told everyone at one point that next week at the same time (10:00pm Eastern!) that the trivia contest would be held, that there were hundreds of millions of influence to be won, and that even bystanders get prizes from drawings. Maybe next week, we'll have a really big crowd!
Oh, and of course, I hope you get to feeling better really soon, I missed you!
