    Oh wow...hrmm that does sound nice. Why did they nerf it again? Overpowered? What's wrong with having one or two overpowered sets. Surely this is still in reality today and people don't always roll Bots/Traps lol. (even though they nerfed traps)

    Traps/Sonic you will kill stuff hella fast and you could always use the science costume Mouth Guard pieces to enhance the tech look.

  7. *shrug* Sometimes you really get into characters and you don't focus on dps numbers. Mind you With My Ar/Kin I have to be very careful with certain foes b/c one hit can stun/hold you....*glares at Ritki*.

    You're not Alone I play a AR/Kin/Mace...so I think redraw isn't to much of an issue with me as well.

    Anyways. I started off playing COH in Feb. of 08 (A lot of buds hooked me up with trial accounts) during my first year I've played ONLY Ranged toons...melee did not interest me in the slightest...Until I too saw many postings of Brute SMASH! tm. Me being a lover of Mage Stuff I decided to go with a Magical Theme and my toon Thurston was born...he was a Elec/Elec and once I had the taste of smash I never looked back...it even made me switch to redside.

    I also made a stalker b/c I like Stabbing my enemies in the face with a pointy sword.

    I was playing my Claws/Invulnerability Tonight and After I killed a 4 spawn of Freakshow I felt so satisfied/pleasured from the SMASH! I had to ask for cigarette from my room mate. No, I don't smoke but after that skirmish I felt that good.

    From what we know so far, the effects of the pistols will be lethal (no known secondary benefit), fire (+DoT), cryo (-speed/-rech), and toxic (unknown benefit). Power Boost shouldn't affect any of those. Except mayyyybe the -speed in your cryo stuff, but not the recharge.

    Power Boost doesn't just boost everything that exists. It has a pretty strict guideline, limited mostly to mezzes and +DEF. I don't even have it on my Energy/Energy because it basically does nothing. Boosts stun in two of my powers, but that's not worth devoting a slot to.
    LOL, I wasn't trying to challenge you but *shrug*. I thought we saw a few cryo rounds in the set tis all.

    Dispari I thought Pistols had different Ammo you can switch to? Like Acid rounds or something? Powerboost would surely enhance that.

    That said, I never played that way before the buffs to Stalkers. :P I played my Stalker the same was as they are setup to be played now. Only, now it's even better!

  15. I want my Blaster to be Ranged mostly so I am going for a Pistols/Energy. As far as a Corr...

    For some Reason Pistols/Cold speaks to me. Sleet would be just awesomeness and infrigidate, benumb and snow storm keep them from getting to far...In my mind Pistols will play like a mixture of Assault Rifle and Archery.

    I would play a Pistol/kin...but he would have to be solo...I have a hard time playing a kin on teams for more than 30 minutes w/o going insane now days.

But while Twoey has been improved a great deal, I find I sometimes forget to cast it, and it doesn't make a huge difference in the character's effectiveness (except solo).

    I would rank Plant Control above Grav and Ice, but not the pet.
    To everyone that rates Twoey lower than Jack Frost please, PLEASE replay your plant controller just for me! To be honest I would like to see why everyone thinks Jack Frost performs better than Fly Trap? I have summoned Twoey in a middle of a spawn and he has been able to handle his own...but Jack...it's starts getting good and then he starts ti bite the pavement.

    I admit though with Jack I bet if I made a Ice/Cold controller he would be astounding...up there with the awesomeness of Stoney.

    I think I rated Siny so high b/c much like Phan he has kept me alive. Dmg is awesome and it really helps but seriously many times before if I am fighting a full spawn of melee baddies and I start to Quickly loose life Singy has no qualms of coming to my aid to repel them all. While keeping 2 or three of them held and taunting the rest why I get my barrings and fulcrum+Fireball them all to oblivion.

    I've never had the three monkeys of doom but i have teamed with more fire doms/controllers than you can shake a stick at and 65% of the time they die or the team dies from one of them soloing a mob or going rogue.

    I do have to say Local Man the pet that AMAZED me hands down was Animate Stone...since I leveled my controller after the fix I was able to see Animate Stone in his full tanking glory...it was marvelous...I can't Imagine having more than one of him...man I wish I played COH during the more than one pet summon days!

    Also for you fellow coh people out there who have a hard time with Grav/ I would suggest trying a Grav/Kin, Grav/Cold, Grav/Storm, Grav/TA, Grav/Rad

    I have seen a Grav/Storm in action and I was impressed. Grav/TA to me seems nothing but win and Grav/Rad is just down right awesome!

    Indeed almost 90% of the time (especially on farms) Brutes/Tank Can't hold aggro ALL the time. I do not want to delve to far in this issue since I bitter LOL. I have played Stormies, Energy/Kins, Illusion Controllers and Khelds and getting refused to teams just b/c of my AT or Powers feels a bit cold...I already deal with discrimination in my real life I don't like a lot of it in my game! LOL
  21. Phantasm is Awesome but he's not my Fav...I would say for me I think the top 5 are....


    1.Singy
    2.Phan
    3.Animate Stone/Lava Man
    4.Audrey/Fly Trap
    5.Imps
    6.Jack Frost

    Jack is at the bottom of the list for me b/c even though he can grab a lot of aggro he tends to die pretty fast on most occasions. Jack deals nice Damage but you have to keep and eye on him...with the top three pets you can pretty much sit back and let them do the work...Especially Animate Stone.

    Ever since they gave Fly Trap a little lovin' he's been awesome...I knew he was something special when he took an alpha for me and LIVED...and it was Renegades to boot!

    Phantasm is also cool b/c he stick around when you die...or at least the decoy does...I can't remember it's been a while. Many times thanks to him duking it out when I was dead gave me plenty of time to rez and retreat or use my APP rez power.

    I am really looking forward to this new controller set that's will be coming out.

    Yeah I have a Fire/Cold that can farm a bit faster. Cold to me feels like Rad/Sonic/ and Storm I love it!

  24. One reason why I stopped playing my Storm/Dark Defender .

    Honestly Lightning Storm Does Decent Dmg and Zaps end. Yes it causes kb but honestly IT isn't that bad. I've had an Ill troller, energy blaster and a PB on my team and I dealt with it some of us needs to learn how to adapt to the team.

    After being told in Tell to not use Lightning Storm I left team and haven't played him in over 6 months. People need to chill with the whole no kb thing.
  25. Haha I seriously was looking for someone talking about how Awesome Singularity is...the bad part most people never get to experience how awesome he is due to Grav being tough for most to play .
