*sigh*
I would of LOVED to have seen Scirocco turn over a new leaf...in fact I've been waiting for it for years...Oh Well. -

This thread...I should look away but...I c-can...

Good Call! I forgot about the sand trick with Dark. I was hoping for a Tribal set one day so I could make a truly awesome looking Egyptian, African, Tribal toon.
-
I like the artists style and it looks pretty but it doesn't scratch my Super Hero itch.

Quote:Jeez...I have a long way to go and so little time!hmm..... John C. Dvorak posted an article titled "Can You Google?" in which he states, "Many students lack search skills and their schools are to blame."
When Angelica was wondering when she would stop being a noo.. I mean rookie, I went to Google and searched:
site:cityofheroes.com forum titles
Now, the first few links were discussing the new colored titles. But the fifth link yielded the following:
0 Citizen
25 Informant
50 Recruit
100 Trainee
200 Rookie
400 Cohort
700 Super-Powered
1200 Mentor
1600 Legend
5000 Renowned
10000 Forum Cartel
20000 Cuppa Incarnate

I remember seeing a Sonic/Storm guide when I first started playing. I even made one but it's just not for me sadly. I'm not a big fan KB. Also I didn't like the fact that you can't control the KB of storm. I prefer using Storm on a controller because I like to group a mob together and summon Tornado or LS.
Also I didn't like the fact that Dreadful Wail has a crash.
Quote:What, can you see it?
EDIT: oh wow, it does look great.
Wind Shear plus Time's Juncture would be hax.Quote:I'd probably reroll Will O' the Wind. He never felt right as an EM/EA Stalker, but that was pretty much the only choice for pure air looking stuff.
Will O' Wisp is an awesome name and perfect on a wind toon! I know that other players will have Name Handle envy!
Quote:And there I was feeling all lucky, having secured the name "Air Man", and on the highly populated Virtue no less. Even pencilled up a rough concept build based on the ever-unreliable Wikia's preview (Wind/Force Field Controller w/ Psionic ancillary so he could unleash Psionic Tornadoes). Total Concept Character, would stay permanently Invisible, always Fly/Hover and never touch the ground, etc. I was going to contact Fire Man about tracking down Water Man/Woman and Earth Man/Woman, if they exist, and forming the most kick-*** SG in the game. Oh well... (Or should I say, "maybe later...")
Also I raise a glass to "Shoxygen", who would've been (and may yet be!) my first Dominator (Wind/Elec/Mu). Hopefully these, and all of our nutty ideas will get a chance to strut their stuff in Paragon & the Isles.
Later gators,
- The conceptually inconvenienced Copper Cockroach
P.S. I'm gonna hang onto these names for now, just in case... but if we get word there's no chance of a reprieve or revival, I'll release 'em.
I would have to see the set...I can't think of what other secondaries I would want to stick with beside Storm Summoning. -

Quote:Kitsune, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Of course there always have been people who disagree with one another on the forums...on ANY forum what I was saying though is that a lot of posters have been more venomous than usual.Turning? There's always been disagreement on the forums. That's human.
On the other hand, there's been quite a number of well known posters that have some sort of dispute with each other choosing to put it aside and work together. Hell, there's several posters that, always without fail, every post of theirs makes me want to throw a brick at their face... and in the past week, not a single one of their posts have made me want to do that (a first in every case!).
And hey, we also were able to completely fill Virtue, and have 33 Atlas Parks as part of the Unity rally. There were so many people, that we had to overflow to Freedom, and had at least an additional 6 Atlas Parks there.
It might have something to do with the mods being more hands-off than usual due to obvious circumstances. Or of course everyone being emotional since the game is coming to a close.
We have done well yes but we need to tone down the rage just a tad. -
It's crazy how everyone is turning on each other right near the end.

Neil Gaiman, John Kovalic, John C. Wright & Mercedes Lackey Support Save City Of Heroes Campaign
Author:Jonathan LesterCategory:NewsTags: City of Heroes, Neil Gaiman, Paragon Studios, Save Paragon City!
The fan campaign to save Paragon Studios and prevent City Of Heroes from shutting down is going from strength to strength, with several high-profile authors pledging support to the cause. Stardust author Neil Gaiman, Sci-Fi writer John C. Wright and bestselling fantasy author Mercedes Lackey have lent their voices to the endeavour, both in terms of tweets, blog posts and even direct pleas to NCsoft themselves.
We previously reported that the Save Paragon City! campaign had secured celebrity endorsement, but we know know the extent of their support thanks to another statement from coordinator Tony Vasquez.
Neil Gaiman and John Kovalic (notable Webcomic artist) have retweeted messages of support to over two million followers, originally sent from players desperate to 'save their home.'
John C. Wright (Chronicles Of Chaos, The Golden Age) posted about City Of Heroes on his personal blog, saying "this is practically the only online game I play. Between work and novel writing, I usually only allow myself to play on Wednesdays. Any kind hearted persons out there, please sign the petition."
Mercedes Lackey, an avid City Of Heroes player and prolific bestselling author, personally wrote to the CEO of NCsoft, literally promising to use her fame to help keep the game afloat - with no payment expected in return.
"This, like so many other letters, is a plea to save Paragon Studios and the City of Heroes, City of Villains, and Going Rogue games. And like so many others, I could tell you about the thousands of hours I have spent there with friends, the thousands of dollars I have spent within the games, or even how this game allows my husband and I to “meet” and play nearly every night with my father in law, the retired, and multi-medaled Master Sergeant Jim Dixon formerly of Delta Force. I could even tell you how this game is the only one ever to interest him."
"I am going to make you an offer. I am a multi-award-winning, New York Times bestselling fantasy and science fiction author. And I will offer myself and my likeness to endorse and advertise, exclusively, all NCSoft products for a minimum term of five years and a maximum term of ten years, for no compensation or payment, if you will make it possible for the game and Paragon Studios (even in a reduced capacity) to continue to function, either once again under the NCSoft umbrella, or until a new owner comes forward."
"I had in mind something like this: Advertisements with a photo of myself, imposed over a transparent image of one of my more striking characters, both of us in the same pose. Text: “I am New York Times bestselling fantasy author Mercedes Lackey. Creating fantastic realms is hard work, and when I relax, I like to play in someone else’s world. I play NCSoft Games. Anything else is unimaginable.” The tagline for the ad campaign would be “NCSoft: anything else is unimaginable.”
Thanks to a threefold plan, celebrity endorsement and an inspiring degree of passion and coordination, Save Paragon City! is providing to be infinitely more than 'just another' fan campaign. We wish them the very best of success, and will keep an eye on whether NCsoft and Paragon Studios acknowledge their efforts. Naturally we've reached out to NCsoft for more than a standard form reply. -
I wished that we were able to get all of the players who protested on every server but that...would of taken a long time.
I was told that Virtue and Freedom were Full and Infinity and Justice were pretty packed as well. -

Really Jay? That post makes no sense.
Of course they are going to still use the NCSoft forums since they're loyal to COH. They meant that AFTER COH dies they will be done with NCSoft.
I agree with Gecko and Aura. I was actually going to buy GW2 before the coh announcement...now I'm going to hold off a bit or I may never purchase it at all.
Am I doing it to hurt NCSoft? No, but I'm the one hurt and dealing with a great loss because I think...heck I know that they could of ended this game in a more professional manner.
EDIT: Oh and I've been a fan of Angry Joe for years. His review of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 still makes me laugh my **** off. -
On it! In AP in Freedom as we speak!

So many beautiful posts in this thread.
I understand where the OP is coming from I felt that way for almost a week but now I am determined to fight until I see the final mapserver notice.
I think we all should gather as one in atlas and-- god I'm getting teary eyed. -
This set looks amazing...it's one of the reason why I will fight to keep this gaming going until there's nothing left in me.
The Set looks absolutely...wow!
