Absolutely, and that is another reason I posted it. To get criticism, and to see if anyone saw any giant flaws that I overlooked. I appreciate the help, without a doubt.

Having some of these flaws in a build isn't so bad, but all of them, on a high end build ?... Basically, this build has barely more than the softcap. Ok, some DDR, good max HP, and some resistances, but it's far from the performance a Shield build can attain.
Ouch. At the same time, I posted it here for Santorican to see, as well as to get that help. I wouldn't call myself a Mids expert by any means, and I always appreciate any help I do get.

I didn't actually look at that, you made a very good point. I don't generally run out and fight +4s, either, though.

What I mean by that is with that build, if you turned off Tough and only used FSC and Fireball, NO other attack of any kind... You'd still lose 0.2 end per second. Add any ST attack and the loss becomes tremendous. [Edit : yeah, my bad, not actually true, you'd gain ~0.2 end per second using only FSC and FB (I forgot to consider the perf shifter and panacea proc). Adding Shield Charge or ST attacks would be enough to start losing end, though.]
I vastly underestimated this characters endurance usage. You're absolutely right, I do go through endurance like it's air.

Still, I really don't believe getting a bit more recharge and perma-hasten (which is the most overhyped thing ever for anything but a perma-dom) is worth all the sacrifices you do to get there, you could easily sit at ~60% global and fix most of the stuff highlighted above.
To me, that level of recharge is more fun. I have survivable toons, I have glass cannons, and I have toons in the middle. I like to go absolutely crazy with recharge, just to see if it is worth it. In total, this toon cost me 100M in crafting recipes; everything else I had on hand.

I also tend to build very cross-buffing heavy teams. The people I play with also play IO'd out toons, generally Corruptors(Defenders/Controllers) or VEATs. A death is, honestly, rare. The areas that my toons lack, are usually fixed from the other characters on the team.

I won't get into that "1 empath defender rocking the aura" situation, solely because it would make me slam my head into my desk.

The build works largely because shield charge and the fire AoEs (FSC, Fireball) are so overwhelming that the rest of it is largely irrelevant. Yes, you aren't going to be soloing AVs with this build, but for any content besides that or making impressive pylon runs, this build will outperform.
And for what it's worth, this character has solo'd an AV, a Pylon, and done the RWZ Challenge 4/5 times I've attempted it, even /without/ the Glad armor in place. (C'mon bid!)

Even without being built for survivability, it does fine. I kill stuff before it kills me.

Exactly. To me, death is Vengeance for everyone else, or Fallout. Master Runs are so buff heavy, we can usually just run through at normal speed anyway. (I duo'd the MoITF the first day the badge went live on my Corruptor, with another Corruptor; it took 1:15.)

Aye. I built this character to FSC, SC, and Fire Ball as much as I possibly could. However, endurance wasn't a "once in a while" thing, it was a "Oh god, I've shield charged twice! HALP" issue.

    *nod*

However, taking everyone's points in mind, I've redone the build; I tried to add in more resistance, more recovery, more regen, a smidge more accuracy, and fix the Armageddon slotting. (don't know why I did that. It was 5AM? *shrug*)

It may still not be as optimal as possible, but I think it should be a bit better, and still retain most of the offense I enjoy so much.

It has a Panacea, and Perf Shifter, and if you turn off Tough (Which I normally do), the end cost is .72/s, with 3.53/s Recov.

I like layered mitigation, but I prefer to just rely on Defense. I enjoy the "I'm a god! I'm dead!" side of things.

True grit isn't slotted solely for recharge, the enhancement values are also quite good.

A few seconds here and there does add up, though.

I think it was a combination of things. I got bored with the Fire/SR, didn't really enjoy AV soloing so much; the Elec/Shield felt a bit meh, SC wouldn't leave much for LR to blow up.

Plus, Mousey always teased me saying I should have just done Fire/SD/Blaze in the first place.

I also was messing around with a build that had Melt Armor as well, had 90% Recharge. Shield Breaker is an awesome set for that power.

    COH on Windows 7

Had this problem earlier in the night as well, after upgrading from Vista 64 ultimate to W7 64 Ultimate. I used TweakCoH (Thanks Darkfaith) and lowered everything. I was able to load into the game, and realized that, even on the lowest settings, I was getting about 16 FPS. Updated my drivers, all is good.

Drivers for a few of my things seemed a little buggy after installing W7. Check those first, my .02
  6. How much recharge do you have?

    I'm speaking from personal experience, and I know 3.4 isn't enough; I know 3.8 isn't enough.

Thunderstrike, LR, and SC all have Obliteration. When Thunderstrike costs 8 end, Lightning Rod/Shield Charge 11 end(each), You're going to run out. Especially when you can do the LR/SC combo every 30 seconds.

If you're slotting 6 Obliteration (for the 3.75% Melee Defense), you're getting a whopping 18% Endurance reduction. That's around the same as a DO? Now consider that your attack chain will include those Obliteration-slotted powers, you're going to hurt for endurance.

Of course, I also never stop from mob-to-mob, and I'm known as a "slightly" aggressive player.

On a similar note, I changed my build from Phys Perfection to Pyre mastery, simply because Fire is more fun. 91% Recharge, too.

However; 3.55/s endurance recov, and I can sap it very quickly, even with .83/s drain.
  7. This is what I went with, personally. Softcapped to all, 25 HP/sec regen, 4.15/s Recov. Not as much recharge as I wanted, but oh well.

I've had a fully IO'd Elec/Shield brute, and I found that 3.4/s Recov wasn't quite enough, so I went a little nuts on this one.

  8. The proc will only have 1 chance to fire in LR/SC, where as it has a chance to fire on each target hit with TS/ET.
  9. 'Friggen sweet! Patching now. Any idea what time tomorrow, or all day?

  11. This is pretty awesome. You guys really need to offer a lifetime subscription option.

I took Tough, Weave, Vengeance and a Patron Shield instead of Patron Powers. I think my Corruptor is survivable

All you've got to do is commit crazy acts of insanity and survive them. A teammate will do the same. They'll die. Then you get Vengeance

  13. Just as a warning, this thread will contain spoilers on the new SF.

Ever since the announcement of this SF, I've wanted to do it on relentless, with 8 corruptors the first day it was out.

When I announced it in the global channel, all I got were "You need a MM! You need a stalker! You're doomed to fail. You can't win." I found 7 other people stupid enough to try it with me. On relentless.

    Team makeup was 5 /Kins, 1 /Dark, 1/Traps, and 1/Rad.

Obvious things like Debuffs/Endurance management were covered.

All went very smooth, aside from the lack of a real mez protection. ID was very finicky due to some buff icon bugs.

Ms. Lib caused a 7/8 team-wipe when we walked out and just kind of screamed at her. Howling Twilight saved the day.

Numina was the same deal. Walked into the room not realizing that's where she was.

Aside from Ghost Widow turning on Shadowfall and then losing us, which required some help from a GM (Which actually arrived relatively fast!) there were very few bugs. And the final mission was tons of fun. We didn't know the patrons would turn on you when you brought them to the center. We had them Buffed to hell. Not that it really mattered though. I've never, ever, ever seen the patrons taken out this fast. I've done multiple STF runs, and multiple MoSTF runs, and they have never dropped this fast.

Every single patron was hit with Soul Storm, and it was absolutely hilarious to see GW flying. I only have a picture of Black Scorpion in the air, though. :-(

Here's a picture of Black Scorpion floating. I was having a mapserver, so this was the only actual in-fight picture I got. >.> :

And here are a few of all of us together:

Rocking out with our ...swords out?

No Temporary Powers (We used the dust storm, because it looked Really cool, and we all got swords) were used. No Nukes. No Shivans. Just tons of +damage, -Regen, and damage in general.

  14. To be fair, it isn't even business hours on the west coast. It's still 8:48. I have a feeling they will upload it once they get into the office.

    Just my .02 though. :-)
  15. Leveling pact sounds awesome for duo toons. Multi builds? Oh man, thats awesome!
