Considering who some of the other ex-SF people are, I'm not sure what that is supposed to mean. Are you saying that they are all the same?

That would be fun, especially if it were actually villainous and not the watered down hero (defeat the same people that you on blue side constantly) kinda stories. I've been thinking about writing something for one of my Corrs that would actually allow her to feel like she was the bad "guy" for a change and commit crime that benefits her personally. And if I can take out some of those annoying contacts who are always backstabbing the poor villains who do their bidding... it would be even better.

That's why I always say I have cooties. I looked all over for a team last night but only could find them for the WL event stuff... five-ten minutes later solo again. Wham-Bam, etc. etc. I'm in the middle of finals, I don't want to think too much or I'd start my own stuff, but really... just got back about ten minutes ago from my third final and writing essays for four hours in a row (not even getting up for a break) wears me out.

Plus, there is nothing wrong with soloing. Some people prefer it really. I certainly do. If I am in the middle of a mission and remember that I forgot to grab my CrimPro book, I can go afk and run across campus. If I decide that I'm starved and need a snack I can take five min. and go next door and get one. If I'm not feeling well, but have nothing better to do than play, I can go slow or take frequent breaks to lay down. If I get a phone call, a knock at my door, or need to brb-bio, I don't have to explain my absence to anyone and then can pick up exactly where I left off. I can play for a half-four and do whatever I want, or play for four hours + in a row and at my own pace.
Granted, sometimes I like being on a team, but things like waiting on a wall for thirty minutes and still not getting one usually remind me why teaming can suck. Or, anyone else ever get invited to do a tf and then have the star handed to you with instructions to find more people? *quit team*
But stever and others are right: there are some people taking a break because they can't afford the game right now, others don't have the time because work is more demanding, some of us are getting into finals time at school, for others this is the holiday season and there are a lot of things to do for family and friends, and many other reasons for not being around as much or at all I'm sure. -
I love my dark/dark def. And if I went by your guide, it looks like I'm already doing that stuff. Dark is fun; my D3 is the first defender I managed to enjoy solo missions with, and running it on teams like last night's MoKTF is even better.

Quote:True, but the reverse is true as well. A Vet team beating a newbie pvp team and then bragging about it or taunting, reveals a lot about the attitudes of those Vets. And that is the reason that a lot of people avoid it altogether.I don't think it helps to call someone a bully simply cause they win at PvP. That monster winner was a PvP noob at some point and learned.
I was listening to Vent last night during the pvp event- sounded like there was a lot of two or three on one action going on. Personally, I wouldn't want to go to a team v. individual event like that. -
I don't think it was unreasonable to kick them. When they agreed to join the TF they had to have known that they were going to leave for dinner at some point. If they had given you fair warning that they would be afk or logging off for a period of time during the task force and you had agreed to that, then kicking would be unreasonable. Hiding a known fact from you, essentially misrepresenting the amount of participation they would have in the TF, is unfair to you and the work that you and your teammate were putting into duo'ing the missions.

My mom would always pull out the old records at this time of the year and we'd listen to things like Roger Whittaker's version of Greensleeves.
One of my favorite Christmas songs is Kate Smith's version of Christmas Eve in My Home Town, and no one can beat her version of Silver Bells either. -
See all the other threads for this event...

Was on, waited 25 min, no one else showed, gave up. Oh well.

That's cool. I was mostly curious because of all the criticism the AoW events got over letting AoW members participate in an objective competition. So are the SGs that the judges, for this subjective competition, belong to allowed to enter?
-
Are all the Champion PERC Judges in UHB?
-
That sucks; I was listing to someone in Vent who was at the Hami and it sounded frustrating.

Champion has lots of great people; and speaking as a member of Hammers of Justice... there are a few pretty decent supergroups around too. It's just not easy to find everyone in AP these days. BMT of Champion is a great global channel to find people, but it's invite only atm I think. One of the OPs would be glad to send an invite, I'm sure.
I'm sure others will make the offer, but if you want to try out Hammers we'd welcome you with no obligations on your part. Coalition is pretty friendly, though sometimes quirky, and we don't mind questions about the sg, or ourselves. We also are pretty active later in the evening/night so people on the West Coast might like our teaming at times convenient to them. -
Maybe people (including me) should stop ******** and moaning every time someone does something, that benefits many players on the server, like setting up an event. There is a simple thing to do if you don't like the event or have a problem with part of the set-up... don't participate.
Personally, I think it is great that so many in the pvp community are thinking of ways to get new players, and new pvp'ers, involved. Even I am setting up an HoJ pvp toon now, and I look forward to learning from the people who are willing to teach. Sometimes it is really hard to admit that you don't know something and accept the advice of the people who have experience in the subject; but doing that is better than the alternatives. -
Sorry about missing last night- I joined an ITF with my SG and we decided to go slow. I kinda hoped it would give some of the rest of the team a chance to catch up since I think Kay and I have been 2-3 lvls above some people.
I can't go home for the American holiday next week, so I'll be around to play if anyone on the later team is willing and able. -

Most teams seem to have food names lately... it makes me hungry. Coconut Cream Pie is what comes to mind for me. Or something like Hot Sauce...
That sucks Kay; hope your family gets better soon. We'll catch you up on both teams when you can get back to playing so no worries about that.
