My favorite is the one about snoopy and the red baron, I think it's called christmas bells.
I know it's not about the peanuts char, but I can't help but picture him flying around on his doghouse with the goggles on every time I hear it, totally my fave.

My mom would always pull out the old records at this time of the year and we'd listen to things like Roger Whittaker's version of Greensleeves.
One of my favorite Christmas songs is Kate Smith's version of Christmas Eve in My Home Town, and no one can beat her version of Silver Bells either.
Great Holiday Songs All (except for Bud! OYE!)!!!
Keep the replies comin'!!!
BTW: I hafta agree with Coolbreese, O Holy Night is by far the best holiday song ever!

I love 'Silent Night' cause I rock a good version on my acoustic.
However, the best holiday tunes ever are:
The Night Santa Went Crazy by the incomparable Weird Al
Christmas With The Devil by Spinal Tap (this is a jazz cover)

In my family, Christmas doesn't start until Bing Crosby sings "White Christmas".
Other must-have songs include "Wonderful Christmastime" by Paul McCartney and "Chiron Beta Prime" by Jonathon Coulton.

"Linus and Lucy" by Vince Guaraldi. Actually, the whole Charlie Brown Christmas album.
I'm listening to the "Skating" number as I type. Very upbeat and relaxing.
Last chance to get in your favorites!!! I will be compiling the results soon so I can head into the studio to record the show!

I'd like Band Aid - Do They Know I'ts Christmas. This song always reminds me of xmas.
"Please Come Home for Christmas" by the Eagles is always one of my favoites.
I also love the Roaches' Christmas album (not sure what the title is). It has the only version of "Frosty the Snowman" that I can stand to listen to (New York accents, FTW!), and I've been listening to it since I was a kid, so it has sentimental value for me. Their "Frosty" always makes me laugh, especially the part that goes 'And the children say he could laugh and play, but we don't believe them anyway! *children: He's real! He's real! *singers: Why I oughta... *children: Whadda you know, you're just a buncha grown-ups!'
Let's see, where did I put that disc....
DUDE!!
You so have to hunt down that video of Carrie Fisher in her Princess Leia outfit singing some god-awful holiday tribute to a Wookie Christmas.
I KID YOU NOT!

HELLO ALL & HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
Keeping with my new radio show tradition, I am planning to do a Top 20 Countdown of Holiday Songs (just like I did for Halloween); this show will air at a special time on Christmas Eve (instead of my regular Saturday spot). This time around it's time to post up your favorite songs of the holiday season to see if they can make the list. This one may not be as predictable as the Halloween songs so I am very interested to see how you all respond! I also am trying really hard to showcase the most original versions (the classics) of the song as well. This isn't to say you can't nominate a rendition done by newer artists, groups, bands but it is more than likely that the song played will be a more traditional, popular, and familiar version. But go ahead and post away!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
Love, Dazzy
