Quote:You could make the propel changes for Controller Gravity and do something useful for its wretched control aspect for dominators.I'm not sure what Dom-specific changes you could or should make for Doms that wouldn't also be good for controllers. The low AoE control of the set and late availability of Wormhole hurts Controllers too. And Dimension Shift is just as useless for Controllers as it is for Doms.

It's goofy fun and decent for repositioning for cone-happy characters like my claws/ea.

The stealth suppresses. It does not hinder fury. It is amazing defence, costs less endurance and looks cool.
-
Don't worry, I'm sure whatever changes are made to Gravity for our sake will be something super special that's coming after these changes. Any day now.
-
I'd also like to point out that some of us are lazy and don't like repositioning for psychic scream.
-
If it helps, I also think this is silly.

Okay. Now do it without taking any powers away, without adding any powers, and without changing the powers that currently exist to be better than the versions buff/debuff classes get.

So what you want is sissier giant robots.

What's made me happiest is the way it's invigorated the early-game experience and made acquisition easier. I can get people to try the game very easily, without the same feeling of limited time from a trial account's launching. I like being able to pick and choose from costume parts so I can decide if I want a whole pack (which I did with Halloween) or if I want individual bits (which I did with the Barbarian pack). I like the new focus on regular additions to the game, including small sale, cosmetic things like the dog, pet, the addition of costume components that would not normally be worth putting out, along with things like boosters and windfalls. I like the sound of these things.
I'm not fond of the gunslinger pack (I said as much, and am boycotting the pack as it stands). I'm sad that market forces are going to forever keep the wealthy ATs getting wealthier (it's simply better RoI to give more to scrappers than to Dominators, f'rex). I'm sad that the areas that have gotten interesting, remarkable development effort (the combo system, momentum) are going to once more be those same wealthy ATs. I'm a little sad that it's more or less official that if you're not in the popular areas of the game, you are just automatically going to get less attention (Gravity has needed fixing for years; Freedom indicates it will probably never get it). I miss Castle. I miss BABs. I miss TheOcho. I have a strong emotional contact to those voices and how they chose to interact with us as players, and I felt they understood the game on a very deep level.
Overall, it's been a great year. Thanks for the hard work, keep it up. -
But that makes it incredibly hard to have your cake, eat it, then whine about not having any cake, too.

That's because defenders get tank values out of armours. Which is kinda funny.

So, at the most, one week and one day. Oh, how you suffer.

Worth considering is how you plan on working your rotation out. If you want fireball to be your end-of-the-spawn hit, it might be just as good as Ball Lightning. Aside from the DoT, they're the same in total damage.

I am incidentally in this same boat. I think that the patron pools are appealing enough that I will do it, which shows me that they're worth the time required. That in turn indicates to me that, like so many other things in the morality system, it's tuned somewhere around about right - someone will always want it faster.
-
When you're talking about nine powers, excluding two of them and claiming that three is a minority isn't quite as compelling as you think.
-
It's not on every tanker attack because it's meant to be a virtue of the t1 attack that makes it more palatable and rewards tankers who know how to play well with an improved output in their secondary. It's a skill-based mechanic right now.

Making bruising stack would further encourage tankers to use their worst attack as often as possible. I've played games where there's a single attack you absolutely want to spam every time it's up, and when that power is as unexciting as the bruising attacks are, that's not a good thing.

Hey, if it works for you, it works. Like I said upstream in the thread, defence+resistance is probably better than defence+defence.
