What rules? PvP in CoH has no Code of Conduct and no Rules of Engagement like most MMO's that include PvP in their gameplay.So basically CoH allows nonsense like this.

Well determining victory in RV and SC is easy since the counters can tell you all you need to know.BB is another thing tho and it seems pretty hard to judge this unless the the 2 judges chase the action around with the danger of getting killed themselves.

This is a good idea.To make this work you could follow this:

Bloody Bay is too big and hard to check who is winning in the zone.Instead focus on RV and Sirens.

-Create a judging comittee consisting of 1 hero 1 villain that communicate over global channel and are responsible for monitoring the zone for who is winning

-Use 2 hour time windows for securing the zone.

-Have the 2 judges announce in 15 min intervals the progress of the even over request channel within the zone and possibly over a global channel

-Consider the option of organising the event on test server so all 4 servers can participate

-Consider asking Bridger's support in term of some prizes maybe

As said before, people are free to chat there if they want. Chat is allowed in PvP zones for a reason. As said before, moaning if they are severely beaten in PvP while doing it will however not gain them any sympathy.

For the record, i dont go to a pvp zone to "chat idle", but i prefer that over killing the same villain 20 times over.

You go to a PvP zone to chat idle.What would happen if it was possible for PvPers to roam in regular zones and do their thing? People that cry in the name of freedom and liberalism in the game would put the best "cry me a river costume" and proclaim a new game holocaust.
You wanna go in a pvp zone and chat?Fine.But dont pretend its normal or ok cause its not. It disrupts the flow of the game in the zone and if the devs were a little smart they would have provided some CoC and RoE for the PvP zones to avoid idiotic behaviours like this.

I dunno why MD lost it but tbh its perfectly fine if people feel like going in Sirens and wanting to chat in there. What is not ok is when they get their butts handed to them for being sitting ducks to start moan in broadcast/locals/global channels,call reporters and proclaim this the end of the world as we know it.

There is nothing wrong with people using sirens as a chatting place just as long as they understand that this chatroom is located in the middle of Baghdat during hostilities prime time.

Pretty unlikely altho the combo is definitely not a damage build.Its a heavy control build and in fact prolly second most heavy control build after earth/storm

Because?You have problem performing aoe control? I play an earth/storm specced totally out of damage and there is no problem what so ever controlling large amounts of mobs.I dont see when controllers stopped being support AT's and became primary damage.

Fire/* set in trollers was way overpowered atm and the nerfs were inevitable given the upcoming inventions system which will open a whole new build direction and selection

As far the fact you are earth/emp i think you play as u are supposed to. I play an earth/storm which is a control overkill build.Tbh when i play i dont have buffing or healing to do but only control control control.

I lay down gasses at sideways mobs or even lay it down blocking potential runaway mobs and then proceed accordingly.For me gasses is an opener since i recall to be hitting the mobs on hold right way.I am pretty confident it will make difference slotting 3 acc but experimenting is the way to go maybe since i been away from the game sometime and would need to recheck this for accuracy of my info.

Of course there is always know it all MaX who i am sure in case of inaccuracy will jump and correct me.

Imho to realise if there is any real difference u should make a drastic change and see if there is an obvious effect.Drop all the recharge go for 3 acc and 3 hold duration and see if there is an effect difference

Its all down to tactics.U use the best aoe hold as a backup and instead use stalagmites instead rather than using stalagmites as backup. The difference is stalagmites is not a hold is a disorient and plus it does small damage compared to the DoT gasses do. For the record i dont think you will see a miss from the gasses although i not remember fully and i will need check on my earthie.

However placing the gasses in advance to packs of mobs and if the power is well slotted its far better imho and combined with earthquake is mayhem.Depending on the slotting of earthquake too.

Still gasses is one of the best openers in game and secures slaying of mobs from your teammates.

Its all down to playstyle tbh

If you slot 3 hold duration and 3 acc it works.If you slot 3 hold duration and no acc u kill the whole power since u slotted for duration but u dont hold in first place. And volcanic gasses is an opener and in fact one of the best.Due to the fact that its stationary power you need to get the mobs pre aggro so they are all packed together.

Volcanic gasses as i recall is not like the other controllers AOE and for the record it is considered the best AoE hold in game.MaX will correct me if i am wrong or if something has changed.

Being branded a noob in PvP zone is not something new.It happens a lot.Sometimes its the noobs themselves that yell towards others. Such situations are pretty clear to distinct

In my opinion and experience eing killed by someone in a zone only cause he is using his powers better than you and crying noob in broadcast/arena/local without any other reason that furtstration itself inicates more for the person being killed rather than the killer.

The usual practise of good pvpers in such situations woud be to simply keep it shut and come back at some point with revenge.Unless ofc the killer starts provoking the victim in which case the beast within us takes over

In my view to be honest ganking in CoX is using team to repeatedly kill same people in short time again and again and again till they cry no more.

Its a double edged term to be honest since sometimes u are forced to gank in order to get out of a situation of being ganked.Some other times is just to become pure evil towards some morons in the zones >:]
