I have to actually disagree with you here
One of my problems is i am very competitive person,i enjoy PvP and i am a hothead.I might actually trashtalk in PvP zone but i wont curse or something and will do it with people we compete against,other PvP SG's for example.
Will never trashtalk newcomers tho and will try defend them or help them if someone is trashing them.
Problem is that PvP core value is competition.Is bound to bring out dark sides of people's personalities sometimes.Most people dont like losing even in a game
To be really honest concerning what FFM said i admit i love the chatter going on in broadcasts when it sparks up more competition.When it crosses the line though i can understand that for casual players or people in the zones with different purpose in the zone its not appealing and they try steer clear from it.
I guess would be wise to remove broadcasts when entering.
The only thing that really annoys me is when people classify PvPers as uneducated or with any other characterization because they PvP or because they met one idiot or two that made their life miserable in a PvP zone.
In PvP its easier bound to come across stupidity because its a competition and noone likes losing to other people i guess.
Not that PvE doesnt have the same amount of idiots in my opinion.
Anyway about the broadcast issue,we had a discussion the other day about this thing some people expressed an opinion that villain/hero communication in PvP zones should be turned off in all forms. -
Problem is as said in past in PvP forum, CoX has no Rules of Engagement or PvP Code of Conduct.Its only EULA.
So thats the only official frame within which something can constitue harassment.
Repeated killing,droning and what not,even smacktalk without really cursing or sending tells is not a violation afaik.

Unfortunately PvP in all games is competitive.And has a steeper learning curve than PvE.Its the one situation where what other people people say shouldnt matter especially when trashtalking.Best response is to keep fighting till you eventually start kill them back.
I have a recent example of all this.I am part of a PvP SG.We got 5-8 members and we dont take people in the SG.
The only new person we let in lately after quite a few months is Nicky (Forum name).He wasnt let in for being uber skilled (although he is a good player) but because after being repeatedly annihilated by our SG in team fights.zonal or what not he always got up,dust himself,said good fight and tried again.Earned respect from everyone just for this and i think this is what every new comer should do.You will die a lot at start but as time goes by you will start killing a lot as well in my opinion by observing more experienced player.
And if you are being griefed by being killed by same person simply let him kill you more but keep observing his moves and figure ways to counter them.Cause most of them are one trick ponies.

These two points are what interest me most from a gaming POV.This can open up possibilities of creating awsome encounters.I would like to see a bit of depth added to that.Like scripting rules that once met events are triggered.
Would like to be able to determine who the Boss hits,at what HP it hits,arc or radius of some powers.possibilities to use intangibility powers on a rotation and so on.
Would give chance to create some very unique and challenging encounters. -

I think it's Eve that runs several engines together. I don't know if the content differs between those engines - I doubt it. I also don't know if it's just a graphical tweak.

I have a strong feeling this will come down to 2-3 factors.Most important will be how all this will compare with CO.
If CO falls back in offerings or way things are going to be offered even by the slightest i think will be hard to draw the CoH loyal customers.
Second will be approach to content that previously hasnt been touched much.Like end game depth which seems to be part of the focus for this expansion.
I know that if all this hit right now the stores in form of an expansion i would buy for both my accounts. -

It is unavoidable that there will be lots of farming missions as well because rewards will have to be same with current mission system and be based on that.
As long as there is no tweaking with drop rate and xp values from mobs should be ok.
Lessened rewards will lead to the system not being very used until after level 50.
Besides noone will force you to play farming missions.
I think it would be nice to have tags for mission types for example Roleplay,Increased challenge,Farming etc etc etc -

In short, for teams: Fire prolly the best, for duels: Psi top with ice following although Psi can work just as good in teams. -
What i would like to see is some kind of missions where the mobs inside are both good and evil.Uppon entering the mission the previous missions you have done to + or - reputation with said faction.These factions could have also allies where some reputation is gained there too due to "word of mouth"
Uppon entering these mission depending what you choose to fight or where you moral compass lies you end up in mission taking sides.Trying to remain neutral would lead to both factions in mission attacking you for being suspicious.
Would like to see such system in large scale battlefield with perhaps 20 people teams and loads of mobs (like a city in deep crisis,maybe a time attack sort of thing) where different moral compasses could lead to chaotic results and exciting missions.
And when one side starts winning could lead up to increased reinforcement strength for example lieuts start coming,bosses,AV's,signature heroes and finally when things start get critical drop huge GM's (we talking Hamidon size) and give the 20 people the time of their life!
Ok i know i took it too far but would love this kind of chaos and challenge and i think i just had a mini orgasm at the thought of such PvE -

Despite people arguing against it i will say Fire is slightly better due to some tiny details.
However biggest equator between the two is that Fire is easier to counter.
Unless the opposing blaster is Spag.Then you are doomed one way or the other. -
I see what you mean now.I think that those universal slots should be possible to use only in PvP and in content that locks in specific difficulty setting or that they are not displayed at all at info or some solution like this that will avoid this issue u describe.I have always been against Sets being displayed as well in info i mean there is really no point to it rather than people being picky based on info.
Dont mind me i just have major gripes with the lack of adjustment of game difficulty atm to match the current state of the game.
I have to admit that if those 10 slots are displayed in info might cause a form of discrepancy but then again its easy to just leave them outside the info so in pugs noone can tell who has what.
In PvP wont make much difference team wise.
I think i just like to moan constantly about the difficulty settings in upper game and AI scripting of encounters.Hope they work around this and give us some interesting tools to play with in PCC.
A form of end game encounter scripting would be friggin awsome. -

Tried those and my PC got BSD instantly the first time i ran CoX.
The weird thing is i open CoX in screens 2,3 its just crashed the game.In screen 1 i got BSD.

PS: For the record Freaks mission runs are slower xp than current farm missions due to slower progression through the mission.
Only situation i farm dreck map is a)when we bring 6 accounts online consisting of fire/sonic,fire/kin,fire/kin,fire/kin +2 randoms
b) Flashback system.
