Huh?

I am looking for opinions on the performance of power sets because I am looking for advantages and disadvantages to each set to narrow my choices down.

Essentially, I am having a difficult time choosing which primary to pick because I like the graphics/concept of at least a few and I do not already know of their performance differences and strategies.

If not for the bugged Rain of Fire, other sets are actually close to the same damage as fire. That is why I originally thought Fire was completely overrated. I did not know about Rain of Fire's incorrectly high damage, and most of the powers are very slightly above the damage of comparable powers in other sets that have very nice secondary effects.

Did I say I don't pay AT ALL?

I'm a "premium" member. I have paid and continue to buy things here and there. I just refuse to pay the "maximum" that is the subscription payment. Yes, it is the "maximum" because subscribers pay much more than anybody else(aside from those who buy everything and repeat consumables) especially considering they still need to use the cash shop for things.
(Edit: Whatever your subscription gets you is not just worth $15. It is worth $15 "per month", which means it increases forever until you give it all up by unsubscribing or the game shuts down. That is why it is "the maximum" as it is potentially infinite payment for temporary benefit.)



Anyway, support still needs to be given if a customers pays ANY AMOUNT because a problem with any purchase that they ignore and let be a problem is tantamount to fraud.
They can't legally take your money and not give you what you paid for, or take more than what you agreed to, so when a problem messes with that then they need to offer support to get it fixed.

This is why I like the idea LOTRO came up with where any purchase earned the customer 30 days of VIP support from the date of purchase.

I did consider electric because it does get pretty good numbers for damage in game, but I don't know what Red Tomax has for them. It could be different.



I'm completely shocked that Rain of Fire has been that way forever. It obviously has, but it's shocking that they "haven't noticed" as corruptors have been "cheating" ever since.

It's definitely not hard to change, and I can see how they missed it given the fact that I didn't even see it myself until I was comparing the numbers of Rain of Fire directly to Ice Storm.

I just couldn't help but spread the word because this is crazy that that bug with the Corruptor version of Rain of Fire has lasted this long.
That's nuts.

I think the Electric damage numbers are accurate, but endurance drain does tend to be "drain it all or forget it".

I definitely am still considering Fire, but I wonder how bad it is on endurance?

Ice looks great as Ice Storm seems to do close to the same damage as Rain of Fire(Edit: see below for problem), but costs 3/4 of the endurance, and the set has a hold and plenty of -recharge to stack with Time and ensure things aren't attacking much.

Are the Rain of Fire numbers correct?

I thought Scourge was supposed to be "double damage", like the same value twice, as the numbers show in Ice Storm, but Rain of Fire has triple damage under Scourge.

That looks like a bug to me.

Just looked up the Blaster numbers and Corruptor Rain of Fire has the same base damage, but scourges up to 3 times the damage.
(I looked in character creation, FYI.)


That's definitely not right.
Maybe the number is supposed to be the same as the Blaster value, but I think somebody made a miscalculation for the Scourge value and doubled the value that Scourge is supposed to give for Rain of Fire.

Yes, Scourge is "up to double damage", not "triple".

Rain of Fire is definitely bugged.

I guess with that bug Fire is the best primary for a corruptor.
I'm not going to make one just for that bugged Rain of Fire though because it will likely be fixed now.

No, that was applicable there considering he was also premium, not VIP, and I did not think he would get support for his issue.

It wasn't a completely different topic, and my response to that off topic poster here was a valid and helpful suggestion.




Also, there is no way anybody else is using my connection without my knowledge.
1) It is password protected.
2) There isn't any way that anybody could get in range of the router without being noticed. I don't live in the densest of areas.

It is not my internet that is causing the issue of team status being incorrect either.

Go into an instance solo yourself. Try sending a message to team chat. I bet it won't tell you "you are not on a team". It will likely let the message through.

As for the level shifted team leader, or members(not sure about members), causing a crash, that is likely brought on by a lost packet, but I never used to lose so many packet until the game got a lot more messy after issue 17. This game is causing a lot more packet loss than my wireless connection does.

My main problem is I tend to think of "how something should be" according to what it says/does.

That both has me take things too literal and also less literal than others, depending on whether I know the word/function or not.



It both helps and hinders me, depending on the situation. That is why I have learned to both look at things multiple ways and explain them multiple ways.

FYI, City of Data is a little difficult to decipher, even if the information is more accurate than anywhere else due to practically showing the code.

My point was that they need to fix the store so that this doesn't happen.

It's not something that should be "oh just contact support and get it straightened out within a week" when it's real money people may very well NEED.

My fraud comment was actually in response to the person who has had an account locked for 3 years.

But, if they don't help the original poster get his money back then they should be brought to court for fraud on account of their shoddy system causing charges that were certainly not made intentionally.




There should never EVER need to be a "don't click more than once" stipulation.

1) You create an order screen where all orders and quantities are located.

2) You create a separate "confirm order" button that does not "repeat the order" as the quantities are tracked elsewhere for verification against the confirmation.

That way you never have to worry about somebody's mouse not working properly(mine sometimes behaves odd), or any other reason for repeat charges.

Oh, well hopefully it will run great.
I've got a GTX 465 that runs well enough that I'm stuck with right now, but I always love being able to turn settings up more without heating up more.

Also, games should be getting more efficient in rendering as time goes on as well, so that card should still be good for quite a while.

Well if it is NCSoft's, or Paragon Studios', fault then it is fraud, and they're at fault.

This is why companies need to make absolutely sure that any purchasing/billing systems work absolutely perfectly.
This bug is going to cost them if they don't get it handled ASAP.
