  1. I'm just gonna do the decent thing here, and won't advertise my own VG, but point you to the most informative source, the Super Villain Group Recruitment Corner.

Hope you find what you're looking for.

    PS. Join Violators!
  2. Ancillary Power Pools? Controllers most certainly CAN get powerboost...
  3. Just out of curiosity, what does Power Boost do to the kinetics set?
(yes I know villains cant get this combo, I'm curious because of a Controller char)
I heard it doesn't boost the heal? So what DOES it boost?
  4. Yup definetely fun, but I agree, true testing is hard to do. On an 8 man team I'd be lucky if there were 3 people playing like a team.
  5. There's a post about the Ice Mistral SF a little down. It's running tonight, so you might still be able to join
  6. Hey guys,

I've rolled a Mind/NRG Dom for PvP purposes, but I keep hearing fire does better dmg then /NRG. I was wondering what people here thought about the subject: which is better for PvP, /NRG or /Fire?
It's pretty much been proven that /fire does quite a lot more damage. However this is damage over time, while /NRG does burst damage, which can be very usefull in PvP.
So what do peopl here think? /NRG or /Fire? And why?
  7. Hmm, I'm afraid I won't be able to make it this thursday after all, which also costs you a healer unfortunately. Sorry!
  8. This is correct. Criticals are more likely against higher ranking targets. So an AV gets much more criticals from you then a minion does.
  9. Since bumping is "illegal", it's going to be hard to find legal ways to keep the thread on top. I'd say it's definetely worth a PM and a sticky
  10. Hmm I disagree there...I've been around as long as you, and the early 20s were quite tough really. No SOs make SR a painfull set, and no true AoE defense until lvl 35 really hurt as well.
  11. I know all too well how much it sucks being a /SR at low lvls, and I never said it was easier to lvl then regen. I still love the set, and simply can't get into regen scrappers :P
  12. I won't be able to make it either (again). Sorry!
  13. I'm a little late, but grats Jum! I'm a little surprised you hit 50 only now, weren't you 3 bars away last time I teamed with you? :P (like over a week ago)
    I'd fight ya...but you wouldn't stand a chance anyways! :P
  14. I can't be 100% sure, but I think I can make it on thursday. Sign me up with .Kosmos! (who likes SB? :P)
  15. Intelligent slotting makes your end problems go away. You'll never have as much end on an SR as on a Regen, granted, but you can avoid serious problems when slotted correctly.

The [/kins] only start to come into their own from 20+. That's quite a long wait really.

Hmm...Transfusion is the most powerful (numberwise) area heal on the villainside (lvl 1 power), and especially for melee builds it's probably the 2nd best effectively (nothing beats Cauterize). On top of that, you get siphon speed (lvl 8/10, I forgot), which is an AWESOME power! It means you dont need to get a travelpower, saving you 2 powerslots as soon as lvl 14. On top of that it makes your attack chain so much smoother. I don't know about you, but I loved my /kin from lvl 1.
  17. True...no contest there. Still, for pure suspense, I'd say a /SR scrapper is one of the best types in the game. Even if you ran into a mob without getting hit once a hundred times before...the next time you could be 2-hitted and facing debt :P
Ofcourse nobody here asked for suspense, I just wanted to put some SR propaganda here :P Boring Regen people :P
  18. Well...have you ever TRIED making identical copies of the signature heroes? I can't say I tried, but I did look for specific costume pieces for my chars. They arent there :P
Which is smart tho. Othwise we'd have a 100 Invuln/SS tankers running about with a name similar to "Statesman" in some way or another.
  19. Alright, thanks for the advice. You seem to be implying that black dwarf mire and sunless mire have identical base damage? Because the hero-builder claims otherwise. Is this incorrect?
  20. Alright, still got some things I'd like to know (especially the usefullness of tohit slots in my novaform) but here's my 2nd attempt:

    Any more thoughts?
  21. Finally got a chance to look at your guide Double:

when you are in your dwarf form, do you not have trouble keeping up an attack chain? It seems to me that your dwarf isnt capable of constantly attacking. Do you not spend much time in dwarf form? Or do you just spend less time in your dwarf form on attacks? (more on taunts/heals)
  22. Hmmm...wow...I am really beginning to grasp why people say these things are hard to slot lol. All these comments are helping me a great deal tho, keep it coming
(the more planning I do now, the less I'll respec later :P)

    tank mage squad?

I really wouldn't describe a pre-38 /kin as less effective. Unless you mean less effective then a post-38 one, but certainly not less effective then any other corruptor in the game.
