I never craft if there is no history to support my cost to craft unless I am otherwise willing to keep the crafted item for myself. My version of marketing is very cowardly.
The main reason I am rolling at 25 is I am willing to slot at that level and my cowardly marketing shows things at levels on the 5s (25, 30, 35, etc) sell faster than the off level ones. While I personally like 32 because I can run my 25-29 Ouroboros' things and get the benefits I don't find it significantly outweighs just getting them at 30.
The only reason I don't lock at 20, and I have been tempted, is I also like to slot up my level 20 power at 21 and so on. At 25 I have my level 24 power and more slots making it easier for me to play.
I do tend to use my reward merits accumulated to roll when my characters hit 15 and 20 but I never leave them there for that. I do leave some at 10, 15 and 20 for a while if I am using AE for tickets.
But most of my nonsense is to be able to quickly buy and sell and I find the on the 5s support that best. For max profit you would definitely want to hit level 32 stuff because people who want it will pay for it. You just have to wait for those enlightened buyers. -
You know sometimes I'd like to answer that last one with "No, that isn't making you look fat. Your rear end on the other hand..."

I have level locked at 25, 30, and 35 for the 5 rolls with a-merits so here is what I do:
General rules for no history are as follows if I don't want it:
No one or only one bidding: email to an alt I don't play to list for a few inf over vendor price plus 10% fee. So for example a level 30 rare would vend for 6k, I would list for 7k.
Many bidding: list for vendor times 50. Leave up for at least a week or through 2 full weekends before giving up and dropping to vendor price times 10.
If I do want it then I gauge what I would be willing to pay for it and if I am not going to keep it:
No one or only one bidding: email to an alt I don't play to list for what I would pay plus 15%.
Many bidding: list for 3 times what I am willing to pay. -
Quote:Darn right. It makes me crazier. If I at least knew what caused it I would be a bit less annoyed.I've been logged off of the forums four times this morning. I'm in and logged in, then I go to a different thread, and BAM!, not logged in any more. It's quite frustrating, especially since it resets the forum to show everything up to that minute as having been read.
Can we get the forums fixed, please? -
So they're down but there is no patch?
That's a bit scary. -
Quote:Speaking of businesses irritating customers, I weigh all such business events in light of something from the early 1990s.Businesses are constantly irritating their customers for short term gain.
Happily, most of their customers are less prone to emo* carrying on about the cost of goods than gamers*.
*note that the 'emo' in this line does not refer to the many rational folk in this thread who weighed the purchase and decided it didn't deliver enough value, but to the ones carrying on about finding another game, people who buy it being stupid, posting giant protest pictures, etc etc.
I had season tickets for 2 years to the then dreadfully bad Minnesota Timberwolves. My seats were $8.50 each the first two years (nose bleed section). The second year (their third season) they finished with an NBA worst 14 wins. (I believe another team recently tied or sank lower than that.)
They jacked my prices to $12.50 a seat. Why? Because they were so sure they would snag Shaq in the lottery. They didn't. So for a few years after that apart from when Michael Jordan and the Bulls or Shaq and the Magic came to town you could pick up any nose bleed seat and move down to the lower deck because it was deserted.
Now that was a bad business decision. This doesn't even come close. -

I am really not sure what you are trying to say but the people who cannot handle someone spending their money as they want to could use a good slap from reality. Especially on something as trivial as $8 in a computer game.

Quote:All this plus...The OP has recently become microfamous (I don't know if they had a posting history before that) for picking something, deciding they want it a LOT, and refusing to shut up about it. And starting a large number of threads that are either on the topic or subtly leading up to the topic. Go ahead, look at their posting history.
And notice that they've started another thread about the economy in another forum.
I had a nephew who was a greedy little beggar. He outgrew it. This guy I just /ignored.
I'd sell every IO as an enhancement for 2 billion inf at the merit vendor.
I'd let players use merits to buy unlockable costume pieces.
I'd let players buy reward merits with inf. I'd guess around 100 million per reward merit and 1 billion for a hero/villain merit.
I'd sell billboard ads praising the character's exploits in game for one week of use per 1 billion inf. -
Setting aside all the commentary about the commentary...
It is not a good deal. But I bought it anyway because I wanted the air guitar emote (as mentioned earlier in the thread).
But seeing some people are actually slamming people who buy it (or won it) has inspired me to buy it for my other 2 accounts and all 3 will have MMs in doing the emotes (except for demons) in Atlas Park.
Because frankly the lowest form of person is the one who slams someone for having it and I want to find them all so I can 1-star them. -
Quote:I couldn't get my pets to do the emotes last night. Are they supposed to be able to do these new ones?Hopefully, they add more functions to this pack. Personally, I should be able to pass the basketball or soccer to another person. The main reason why I got this pack because I like to use the /petsayall <em ...> command. Having Demons and Robots imitate Micheal Jackson is too much fun. Going to have to try them doing Disco. Have tempted to roll a Necro/ MM to put on a reasonable imitation of Thriller. Although I don't think the dance moves are the same.

Quote:I've always felt this way about the level 50 slots.I figure on any character I play enough to warrant a respec, probably going to pick up hasten on any character that doesn't have it, the other power picks will probably be used as mules for global IO bonuses like LOTG... maybe pick up something like combat jumping/hover and slot it with a def/end IO.
Don't think we need extra slots for these powers, but I wouldn't argue if we got them. That said, would be nice if we got 5 slots at 50 instead of 3; potentially 6 slot the lvl 49 power pick. >.> -
Quote:I still use it on my 50s but by then I also tend to have a lot of global accuracy going to help it hit. I just enjoy it too much to remove it or brawl from my power trays.Yup, you can't slot it for accuracy, but if you pop some yellows, have any +ToHit buffs on you, or any +Acc set bonuses, then they will improve the power's accuracy.
I use the power a lot in the lower levels, when beginner's luck helps you out, but little once I've gotten a full attack chain going without it. -
Ah a why I like that showdown versus the Bay-splosion.
Emotional content. When Luke destroyed the Death Star it was cool but a showdown between equals has more meaning for me. I'll watch Uma and Lucy Liu over and over in Kill Bill (as well as her other one on one fights) or Bruce Lee versus Mr. Han or any western's final showdown with a lot more interest.
Now at the end of Kick-*** when he bazookas Frank D'Amico after Hit Girl has been stopped that is fine but I would have preferred she pull out some way to win on her own. Still a better conclusion than had they simply tossed a couple grenades into his place and blown it all up. -
Mastermind custom pack (granted probably an expensive one):
1. Alternative pets images for example female soldiers, ninja, thugs or different zombies, robots and demons. For example using Vahz zombies or clockwork robots.
2. Special emotes for MM pets like having all of them form a band or barbershop quartet or a sports team like a basketball squad passing the ball around like the Harlem Globetrotters.
3. New MM primary or primaries like pirates and clowns or elementals.
4. Matching costumes for the Mastermind based upon the pets. -
You could probably get a feel for it in one of the 3 official threads about it.

Quote:I always prefer the final confrontation between two adversaries with swords, hands or pistols rather than a Bay-splosion. Even if the bad guy gets shot about 100 times when he suddenly pops up after being "beaten" like the end of the first Lethal Weapon movie,But here's the thing: What do YOU prefer? I know it's not fair to ask such a binary question, but if you had to lean towards either choice, which would you pick? The extravagant, excessive fanciness and big explosions of off-the-wall character power levels, or the more believable, more relatable action levels of more human characters?

Quote:Only speaking for myself of course to support your statement but if they had kept markets and inf separate, making Praetoria a third inf and market that would not transfer to hero or villain I would have:Once we started down the road of switching alignment, a market merge was inevitable. Too many players would have changed alignment for economic reasons.
When characters could change alignments every few days, smuggling between the markets would have been rampant, and the in-game rationale for alignment changes doesn't make sense for constantly changing back and forth every week.
Probably the most practical consideration was Praetoria. If all three markets were separate then the Praetoria market would be totally worthless.
Ditto for the influence/infamy/information equivalence. It's just not practical to 'escrow' that.
So it didn't make sense to keep the markets separate from a practical, role-playing, economic, logic or customer satisfaction standpoint.
1. only rolled up 1-4 Praetorians to check it out as opposed to the 24 I have rolled. I am completely willing to start new characters there until I get bored with it.
2. Crossed over all but 1 villain per SG to hero side. Instead only 3 are crossing over (so far).
3. Crossed over no heroes unless it was to replace a villain so he could move hero side. Instead 4 are crossing over (so far).
So I say good job to them on this. -
It's an old bug with them if they won't join you but still show as around and talk to you.
You have to /petcomall dismiss and then resummon them. The sewer bombing one is the one it happens in the most. -

I'd go with Blazing Bolt. It's always nice to soften up a boss/EB/AV.
-
For me that would depend on the emotes. For the record, I am not thrilled with the price/emotes of this pack but I have wanted the airguitar emote for so long and at the cost of 2 McDonald's breakfast meals I caved.

Quote:Oh I already want new eyes. The ones I have have been defective for 37 years. You might also want new eyes: a 4.8" screen (12.2cm diagonal) would be 4.1" wide (10.5cm) and 2.4" tall (6.2cm); with a resolution of 1024x600, that's 247 dots per inch (97 dots per cm). That's almost 3 times the dot density of your regular desktop monitor; they are usually around 90 dpi (35 dpcm).
My cellphone has a 2" screen (5.1cm) at 320x240, 200 dpi (78 dpcm) and I wouldn't want to stare at it for long periods of time. This device has the dots even closer together.
