Those travel posters remind me of the ones around the Star Tours ride at MGM Studios in Disney World.

Quote:I suppose there is that.>.>
That depends on how many accounts you have. =D
(I actually never do this. No, I'm really serious. But I swear that probably 3/5ths of the people I hang with in game have two accounts or more, and farming with a lowbie in the mish on the other account is a health part of many a character's progress to 50.)
</threadjack>
I have 3 accounts but like you I never bothered with PLing another to 50 that way. I will level pact an AT I don't want to play at the lower levels with one I love to drag out like masterminds, brutes, and scrappers.
See, I do play similar to you.
I wouldn't have multiple accounts in the first place if we had 36 slots per server in the beginning but now I don't want to let the characters on the other 2 accounts go. -
Quote:Love it!Well you can tell by the shamble in my walk
I'm a zombie man and I can't talk
What's that noise? You smell like food
Well I don't mind if you've been chewed
And now it's all right, it's okay
And you can run the other way
We will do what we do
Dead folks walkin' after you
Whether you're a brother or whether you're a mother
We will eat you alive, eat you alive
Hey now we ain't fakin' you're tastin' just like bacon
And we'll eat you alive, eat you alive
Ah, ha, ha, ha, eat you alive, eat you alive
Ah, ha, ha, ha, eat you ali-i-i-i-i-i-i-ive -
Quote:Well you won't get a lot of 50s by farming with existing 50s but I have similar experiences to Uber. That's seriously impressive. You must be doing *something* different because "7 purpled 50s and 12B in cash" doesn't match the typical profile of even an avid non-farming, non-marketeering player.
I only purpled two 50s because I don't feel like playing the other 50s. I do play my warshade a lot because it is a ton of fun for me. Somehow my dominator made over a billion selling his drops as he leveled up to 50.
So I am at 15 50s, 2 purpled, and 7 billion inf combined on my characters. I am not patient and I pay "buy it nao" prices and sell on the cheap to clear out my inventory (note for high value items cheap means 70-80% of the going value).
Basically in my experience if you play a lot and buy and sell smart at the market you do well. And random rolls with merits can be the devil but more often than not they out profit deliberate purchasing with them. -
Those were the pre-purchases. I am not sure when they recognized those but I don't think there were that many of us compared to the pre-orders which became sales when it released.

Quote:I happily send them money on a regular basis.I'd also think that, for a 6+ year old game, that NCSoft has already recouped their initial investment and at this stage in the game, CoH is making them moneyhats.
Unless CoH sees a sudden decrease in subscriptions over, say, the next year (oh, hi Aion!), I feel CoH will stay. -
I look forward to seeing what changes this results in if any.

Quote:I just morphed that 'Walking With Zombies' into a program like 'Dancing With The Stars' in my mind.By the second episode of 'The Event' I knew I was done with that show. Mass quantities of MEH.
The second episode of 'The Walking Dead', though - well, IMO it was a couple of steps down from the first episode, but still good enough to keep me watching even though I am not a fan of zombies and generally will not give anything zombie-related a chance.
The day after the second episode aired I asked someone if they watched 'Walking With Zombies'...
I may be laughing about that all day. -
I do it when I solo with my spines, fire or other AoE scrapper, brute or tanker but that's the only time I bother.

I can't wait. I was bummed when it got pulled during the I18/GR beta so I am really looking forward to I19.
If it is out before the Holiday event (which I would think it should be based on the pre-download) I can't wait to see how far I can get with my warshade vs the Winter Lord and his pals. -

Quote:I am very glad you posted this. I had been approaching it from the point of view regarding the zombies. How they got started, is there a cure, why do they do what they do, etc. This gives me a much better approach to enjoy the show and just let the zombies be the plague on the land not the focus of the series.I could so spoiler this for you, but I won't. >.<
As to the comic itself, the zombies are more of a backdrop than anything else for the interaction between the people and how they cope with things going to hell. Yes, it is very depressing, but there are bright spots. Not very many, but some.
I am very curious to see how the show will continue to progress. -

I enjoy the game. It has been continuously improving in ways that I enjoy more than annoy me every year.
Two days ago I got my 78 month badge.
With Incarnates coming soon I cannot imagine leaving for a very long time. -
They know how to play the game and have fun and don't sit in the markets fuming like you?
-
Quote:He changed your nonsense from demanding IOs to soloing the Hami to make a point. Unsurprisingly you completely missed it.er, I've participated in maybe a dozen Hami raids. We are talking dozens of 50s taking 1/2 hour to an hour to take this beast down. Solo it? is this even for real? Do i play a diff game than everyone else, with much lower drop rates/less treasure/tougher monsters?

Quote:Clearly. I mean what do they know about the game. It's not like all the servers got busier recently regardless of the state of the markets. But you have to understand something: saying "I want, I want, I want." just doesn't seem as persuasive as "Most people feel..." or "It's better for the game if...."
See what I mean? It always ends up with what's "good for the game", because the person posting naturally knows more about what's good for the game than the people whose salaries depend on the game. -
Quote:I thought you were done here?If you think you can fully purple several toons on 1 billion, please sell me all your purps, I will pay top dollar.
Who says you should get to fully purple several toons for 1 billion? Oh that's right. You.
Good luck with that. -
Quote:Odd. I casually purpled my warshade in 12 months.Okay, you guys have stopped swearing and are now tempting me into going off topic asking about things like 600 mil a day marketing. Not gonna do it. ask that is, I believe you make that much, and i'm curious, but lets stay true to the post)
there have been some interesting posts made about long term rewards, rarity, etc. Now we are getting to it. I feel, that after nearly 42 months in city, if I brought all my cash to one toon (which I did) I should be able to get just about anything the game has crammed onto it. I definitely understand that feeling is not echoed by this crowd.
But seriously, from a marketing perspective I am wondering how the Devs can justify this to themselves. Come play this game, and after 42 months, you still cannot even completely pimp out one character. Even if you strip everything else in the game. That is what they are offering. It does not make sense to me. I have yet to hear one solid line of reasoning, taken from point A to point Z, that justifies this as a development strategy.
Maybe you need to learn how to do it instead of demanding they dumb the game down more for you. -
Quote:I take back all my posts opposing the OP. I support his suggestion 1000000%.couple of easy peasy fixes to the market.
A)Cap all market prices at 250 million. the only people who will cry about this are 1) Farmers 2) China Farmers 3) Farming China Farmers
Although I know he is dead wrong about who will be crying about it. -

I think everything in the game should be free.
All my stats should max, including level to 50, upon character creation.
Otherwise the game just isn't fair. -
I see no reason why they cannot sell Collector's versions ingame items. We still have the physical stuff like the PvP comic and the Heroclix figures.
