It might have been mentioned already but the only way to avoid being premium is to subscribe.

Freitag just updated the announcement. Something came up during maintenance and it is taking longer than expected. Thank you for your patience, etc.

This has been a pub service announcement. Not for use as a flotation device.
Was it Charlie Sheen who pointed out if you don't stop drinking you won't get a hangover?

They really need to do better on their estimates and start overestimating the time it will take because being off in the other direction almost every time is guaranteed to frustrate people.

Call them secret messages or something.
I call them more meaningful than the complaints being posted.

Heh I vividly remember someone I was in the "From Below" trial with saying "oh daily maint is a normal thing and rarely takes more than 30 minutes", and me, being gone for a year, clearly said "You're kidding right, no really, WHEN have they EVER had a 30 minute maint, at the very least it's going to be two hours".

I win by default really, though for me it's been over two hours since then, I've watched four tv episodes, should have bet her something...
I was on at 7:30 CDT and the announcement came that the server was going down in 30 minutes which would be 8am CDT.

    As for the OP....

Yes, downtime sucks. However, making ridiculous claims that the game is down more than up IS hyperbolic. 2 hours is not greater than 22 hours, at least not in this corner of the universe. While I can understand if this is your prime playing time (it is for me, here in the USA), ranting about it will not change anything. As explained earlier, the devs are more than sure to be taking this seriously; their livelihoods depend on keeping the game running smoothly as much as humanly possible.

A word of warning: We can probably expect a few days of maintenance next week as well; anyone who feels the need may want to prepare their rage-filled threads now.
I'm too lazy but I am pretty sure last year when Going Rogue came out I posted how much downtime we could expect for patches based on past large releases. I think it was 19 days like this. So we have quite a few more to go over the next 2 weeks.

You guys have done SUCH a great job over the last 7 years guiding this game to it's resounding success.

Always someone trying to iceskate uphill.
I honestly have no idea what you are saying.

We all know it is down but the blind defenders are responding to the self entitled blind whiners.

The game is a success so that is puzzling comment.

So who do you have doing this uphill iceskating? The successful game defenders or the complainers?

Our ignore lists are only 100 or 200 names deep so whether you /ignore or /ignorespammer they add to the top of the list but if you are at the limit the one you ignored longest ago is now no longer ignored.

so say you ignored me in game because I annoyed you, now many RMTers later I go off your list and am no longer ignored by you and you have to put up with my nonsense until you ignore me again. Which then unignores yet another long ignored player.

    $100 => 9600 points => 8 tokens plus the first time bonus 1 for 9 total.

Not that I am admitting to doing that...
  16. Well the fastest way is to buy a lot of Paragon points and earn tokens.

On the plus side I am confident once they understand it didn't happen they will get them to us eventually. While not a perfect company their service is pretty good overall.

Why make the distinction that it is not part of that expansion?
The answer is our characters becoming Incarnates is to beat back Tyrant and the Praetorians and therefore storywise it is tied to Going Rogue as part of the story.

You still do need to subscribe to do incarnates so that hasn't changed from before.

    Honestly, think about this.
What else did you have to buy in order to access something that was not a part of that something that you had to buy in order to access it?
maybe it might make more sense to list what Going Rogue came with?

    Praetorian zones
The ability to make praetorian characters
    alignment merits
the ability to switch alignments via only those particular missions. They were clear that tips were not part of Going Rogue

it didn't come with any incarnate stuff IIRC but when Incarnates came out they said we had to have bought GR to use them

    Is that all correct?

Each one does have its own pros and cons but im just curious as to which one you [as a person] would have?

Myself? I would go for the secret identity. I'ld much rather have a bit of peace and quiet to myself and enjoy my own life as well.
It all depends on my powers but a secret identity is a pain. I don't have to work 24x7 even if I don't have one.
