I still can't find any references or cached versions of the page. Anyone have one handy?

That isn't fog. That is Mot attempting to influence your character into despair or something.

This is accurate. Azuria isn't to blame, so I wish everyone'd get off her back. As far as which NPC I'd kill? It'd probably be the Lichen-Infested War Walker, if I can pick it. Success or failure is so...binary. I can count on one hand the number of times I've been on a trial that got past him. The few that have just blasted right though him without even looking. If it has to be a person or character though, I think I'd off Glacia and/or Infernia. Whichever is the talkative one.

Quote:Oh, I'm gonna have to disagree with that. Assuming the MM itself also has decent defense, like my bots/traps does, it's survivability in bodyguard still far outshines it's survivability otherwise. Proper management of the pet's positions (to avoid auto-hit or high to-hit AoEs/patches) and a bit of taunting from the MM makes the pets unlikely to take any non-BG damage. With the MM equally protected by defense, they become highly unlikely to die in any situation. Grab aid self for when the MM is hurt (since defense should allow you to get it off before you are hit again) and you find yourself tanking AVs easily. For an MM with of defense buffs for his pets, such as bots/FF, it's actually better to try to keep the aggro on the pets. Therefore, BG mode is much less useful to them overall. The pets will end up having much lower survival rates when BG mode is used heavily.
Obviously, it takes a little more pet management, but the payoff is significant. MaxHP is helpful somewhat in this situation, as it only improves survivability for the (hopefully few) hits the MM does end up taking. -
I currently have two Mid's builds for this character. He is currently using this build:
http://www.cohplanner.com/mids/downl...C8F81F649AE8E1
I've got a revised version using purples that is supposed to be an upgrade:
http://www.cohplanner.com/mids/downl...B1FF019EAC0501
I'm just wondering if either of those can be 'improved' in any way, especially with the implementation of those new ATOs. I'm very new with IOing and Mid's in general. I appreciate any help or advice. Also, if this kind of data export is the wrong one, let me know and I'll get whichever export works best for you. -
I think I've seen sharper Play-Doh than her. Regarding those guys, yeah they were almost certainly thieves or raiders. I haven't read the comics and stay away from spoilers, so I don't know who ends up how, but I was almost yelling at the TV about Hershel's daughter. "Check her for bite marks!" Also, I wish they'd go ahead and shoot Shane. I can't stand arrogant 'alpha males' like him. I really enjoyed this episode.

This is so relevant to my playtime in the recent weeks for some reason. Just earlier this evening, while soloing hero tips, I got a blind tell. I handled this one pretty much how I usually do (paraphrased):
Them: Team?
Me: I pull for Duke, if you mean basketball.
Them: Kill things?
Me: Only when in-season and I have my permit.
Them: Run mishes?
Me: Sometimes I do, sometimes I street sweep. Tips are usually my faves.
Them: Tina Mac?
Me: I usually only listen to classic rock.
Didn't hear anymore after that. Stringing out a full sentence must be tiring. -

We'll get back to that shortly after we discuss another problem I've noticed with this show. They still haven't explained about the sun. It raises and sets each day, but they haven't said anything about it! How can we care about the time of day without some explaination? It just reeks of lazy storytelling.

Quote:He knows Daryl is resourceful enough to not die, maybe? Also what someone else said about waiting to get his brother away from the group. That be great for a chance to talk, or turn him against the rest of the group maybe...I could see Merle being angry and crazy enough to want to get revenge on most of the main characters but would that include his brother Daryl too? I suppose he could have gone so far off the deep end that he might not care about getting his brother killed as well. *shrugs*
As for Merle becoming a "big bad" of the show I guess we'll start to find out next episode if that's where things are leading. -
Quote:Unless Merle has been following the group this whole time. Maybe he set up the attack at the camp and set that herd in their general direction. If he was sneaky enough to get out of Atlanta in one piece, who knows?Hard to judge exactly since we only see Merle in the preview for like 2 or 3 seconds but I suppose it's completely possible that all we're going to get from him is a flashback of some sort. To be honest that'd make more sense anyway because it'd be hard to explain how Merle would have just been able to randomly find the group again like that. Having Rick find his family was enough of a miracle - having Merle also finding Daryl would be pushing it.

I think the best part was the clip between 0:00 and 3:42.

This is very simple for me.
If I warned you first *and* the trial is already doing poorly (ie: failed acids or nades because not everyone was present) then it is a kick.
If I warned you first and the trial is doing fine despite slackers, I won't kick you. I will, however, make use of the note system and am likely never invite you or team with you again.
If I forgot to warn you, then I won't care, but at least try to make it lulzy.
Usually, I don't care and have been known to do it myself. However, I have the courtesy to ask first if I don't already know the league leader pretty well. I expect the same from my peers. -
Let's not forget: if Galaxy City's 'present' version goes all kablooey, then BABs will be vacated from his primary NPC responsibility. Of course he'll still be present in the past version 'Echo of Galaxy City', but otherwise there is no reason for him to be alive, story-wise.

Quote:The universe is a incredibly huge place. I see it being perfectly probable that a ship could scout around (even just this galaxy) for 5 years and it's experience could totally different from another ship with the same goal. Even if they had the same mission parameters and had to stop at some of the same 'supply outposts', the journey itself would be vastly different. For example, even something as small as a week's variation could mean one might miss a derelict ship, adrift in space, by enough to not even see it on long-range scanners. By that example, they might never even see the 'Botany Bay'...similarly, they might miss entire star systems..or even clusters.I wouldn't object to seeing the first mission to Talos IV, but only if it was quite drastically changed. And I mean changed to the point where the only things that remain the same are that the Talosians are psychic, their planet is screwed up, and they want humans as a slave race. Everything else would have to be different from what we saw in The Cage.
As for all of those other episodes, I'd rather see them left alone. Paramount/CBS/whoever went to all the trouble of creating a new universe, new ship, and new(ish) crew for the franchise. I'd prefer seeing them do new things instead of rehashing everything from the old universe (which has been deemed unmarketable, so why re-do stuff from it anyway?).
They have free reign to tackle all-new stuff. I hope they take advantage of it, but the occasional nod to observant fans are unlikely to go amiss (even if I'm not 'trekkie' enough to notice them). -

I'm working on the assumption that pool customization isn't feasible at the moment.
I'm also willing to assume that changing particle effects and animation (ie: blasting from feet or chest/adding pseudo-weapons non-weapon-based animations) isn't particularly easy either.
With that in mind, I think the best option for alternate blasts would be to have animations that fit a different tempo. Some blasts look like you are really trying to put some power into it. For those, add a minimal effort looking animation. Sort of a "I'm powerful and need not actually try." Perhaps holding out a hand casually and flicking your fingers/hands. Think Sylar using ice blast.
Some just look straightforward, for those it might work to have something more involved. More, building power and concentrating it and then "HAAA!" This would probably pull from DBZ-type blasting. Presumably, the animations would have to end with the origin-point of the particles in the same spot, but perhaps it is still reasonable to achieve.
The same rule could apply to weapons-based and melee. Dual Pistols and Dual Blades might have somewhat calmer animations, whereas Assault Rifle might add some flair. Again, I expect that animation times would make too much tinkering difficult.
I'll try to sum it up in short as "Try to find an opposite-feeling tempo, and that could cover a good bit of ground and bypass the illusion that some powers are too slow/fast/dramatic/lacking-ponies."

Don't worry, someone got Fusionette a little too close to the server, it will be cleared up as soon as we finish assembling 10 mobs down the hall and mark them as "Please don't aggro". We will lock the door behind her.

I'd file a petition or something...but, well, you know.
