Wow, congratulations Dawn! Nice going.
I'd been trying to think up how this could be done, as I wanted to give the STF a crack with TEAM SMASH sometime. What did you use in the way of Shivans, Nukes, etc.? And how did you get the towers done with uber-Recluse running around? -
Well, I don't really have much RL time to post here regularly... just trawl... but I couldn't let this thread slip by. Welcome aboard babe
I think it's a bit of a long shot to say "the whole game", but Blix has certainly done 99% of the TFs and seen all the zones. Now it's just story arcs to do.
Good to see so many welcoming, familiar facesof course, half of us have met in-game the last few days anyway...

Awesome, absolutely awesome. I too can appreciate great use of the language. I'd like to add a type of name though, the comedy/spoof name - for instance, I already happen to know there's a Captain Obvious out there because it was already taken...
anyone who's seen Whose Line Is It Anyway will know what I mean as well.

i dont want to be a double agent!
[/ QUOTE ]
Thern you could be a triple agent, pretending to be a member of the 5th Column infiltrating Arachnos whe you are really working for Arachnos infiltrating the 5th Column to sabotage thier infiltration of Arachnos.
[/ QUOTE ]
What if your overall mission was to remove the 5th Column from the face of the Earth?
...then you'd be a triple-action cleansing agent(shoot me now)
-
I wouldn't mind seeing some non-Arachnos patrons, going with the theory someone suggested elsewhere that perhaps we end up rebelling against Recluse.
So perhaps other more unusual villains like Nemesis, Calystix, the Centre, that sort of thing? -
Well, we're pretty sure there'll be some VEAT content and arcs, but we don't know exactly when. So I see this going one of two ways...
1) The VEAT arcs come in fairly early, and then you have the same patron arcs as a normal villain, or
2) The VEAT arcs will replace the existing patron arcs.
Either way, for wherever the VEAT arcs aren't present, we'll still have the same contacts and missions as a normal villain, as there's no way they'd write THAT much new content for this. -
Ok, I respecced and got Vengeance in, so now all I have to do is get more Shivans.
Unfortunately I'm not certain about being able to make it. So if you get a full 8 at the time and I'm not there, don't worry about waiting, ok? -
Overused in heroes, perhaps, between levels 35-50... but not in villains. It'd be nice to get the chance to outsmart him.
-
Not if you insist on keeping on invading, I don't. Last time you came I made you a cake, and a Chief Soldier stomped all over it, then one of your rabid Monkeys picked some up and flung it at my window.
I was hurt -
You'll have to forgive me for this... but as a necromancer surely he won't be too averse to Frankensteining ANYTHING?

I'll eat a Cadbury's Creme Egg if my theory is wrong

Oh my, what a punishment. How will you live...?
For what it's worth, I hope you're right - I love the 5th Column, although I wasn't around for their first incarnation I love the backstory. Though to be honest, I'll be happy with ANYTHING but those damned Rikti invading again...! -
Meh... I don't think it's very likely. Not because of any fault with your clues, but because I think that what with Ouroboros and now the Midnight Squad, I reckon the next major plot turn will concentrate on the Shivans and "the coming storm".

Shadow Fall *ought* to stop the mob attacking first on all but the most perceptive of foes (so, EBs and AVs). Just make sure your ninja are relatively close when you charge and set off DN, so they're still in its radius.
If that's not working, you could use Fear instead, though you'd have to slot it for accuracy and order the ninja to attack as you set off DN if you did...
But yeah, points 1 and 3... you got me there. Sadly if you have a selfish team like that then having ranged minions is the least of your worries. -
I wonder if the Greeks ever got around using pocket Alpha to Omega maps of Crete...?
-
There is *kind of* a way around this. It's not ideal and I have to say your idea of a toggle works much better. But as you're dark (I have a dark/zombs MM myself) using Shadow Fall you can get just past the enemy as you launch your first attack, while the pets are in defensive mode. Then when they attack you, the pets should have followed you until they're right next to the enemy anyway. So they'll attack back at about the right time to use melee instead of ranged.
So, in short... make sure you get in there first before things get crowded, and start off with a debuff like Darkest Night to make sure you don't take too much of an alpha strike. -
Agreed that ill/rad is probably best to start out with. Once you've got more experience under your belt, fire's a better choice for pure damage, though a little trickier to play right - the only other issue is Fire controllers (especially Fire/Kin) are a little "flavour-of-the-monthy", so prepare to be flamed for it (aha-ha, see what I did there?)

I can think of plenty of reasons another player would reach such a build.
[/ QUOTE ]
Go on then, list them.

I can think of a couple... a pure solo toon (boring as hell, but to each their own) couldn't make that much use of end-draining aoe's, but high damage energy attacks, on the other hand...
And then of course there's the age-old "concept character" reason. Absolutely no GAME reason to choose those powers, but that doesn't mean there isn't another reason. -
That's awesome...! Constructive comment - not enough Dragonball Z. Other than that, I see no flaws
Much as I love colour, I kinda prefer seeing things left in black and white. Feels more 'comicky' to me that way. -

Welcome onboard Super_Ready. Do you have the TF contact unlocked?
[/ QUOTE ]
Bah, I forgot to mention. Not entirely sure - I know I've done 2, if it's possible, I could do the others through Ouroboros easily enough. -
I'm in! I'll be playing my main Super Ready, lvl 50 MA/SR scrapper. I know I can do it as I reached the third mission last time, but sadly my net dropped and I've been itching to do it again ever since...

So because of one person doing something for a Laugh that means I best not play on Defiant.. Keep your comments like that to yourself thank you.
[/ QUOTE ]
laugh? this would pretty much cripple the char
this is along the same lines as petless MM and only having healing aura on an empath
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, that's up to them, no-one's forcing you to team with them. No need to badmouth the whole server for it - I'm sure Onion has its fair share of loonies too -
I'm in - I'm gonna respec and try and work vengeance and assault in there as well as the maneuvers I already had. Watch this space. Another vengeance wouldn't go amiss though, especially as I have a habit of dying first
Evil Ready, again - lvl 50 SS/Fire brute -

Remind me, was there a reason why heroes work for Hero Corps rather than Longbow apart from the bad attitude of the Longbow commanders.

I don't know about Longbow, but Hero Corps get paid for it.Check the exploration badge description you get next to Henry Peter Wong in Atlas (can't remember the name).
