I discovered a workaround for the CC Bug. On the CC screen switching from colors to scales allows the animations to display correctly and draws weapons and shields. Switching back to colors causes it to revert back to the non-animated character view. So switching back and forth between the two allows you to view the color changes you've made for weapons and/or shields.

It's ok if the tailor acts a little wonky for a while if it means I can save myself some frustration.

Try designing a new shield/weapon tank and tell me if it's ok! -
Thanks for the link. I hadn't seen that. I still think it should be more than non-critical. As I said earlier the CC is the first thing a new person see and one of the main hooks of the game. If it doesn't work right what kind of impression is that going to make? And that's not to mention the influence you'll have to waste popping into the tailor to make changes then out to see if they look right then back in to guess again if they don't.
-
It needs to be since it's the first thing new people see. Is it the same at the tailor or will I be able to fix it there?
-
Didn't see this posted. If so.. then ignore.
After downloading the patch I decided to make a new character and when I get to the costume customization screen I found that there is no animation and you cannot see weapons or shields to customize them. There is also no animation on the character select screen. The blank figure on the body type selection screen animates fine. Wasn't this a bug on test?
How am I to create my character now if I can't see my weapon?! -
Seems to be working now. I don't usually log in on in the mornings except maybe the weekend so wasn't aware of the maintenance. I thought that was done on Tuesdays.
-
Started up CoH this morning and downloaded a small patch but when I get to the login screen and put in my ID and password after a few seconds it comes up and says "Can't connect to the login server.. blah, blah, blah". I downloaded and applied the patch fine and I'm not having trouble accessing anthing else.. the web, etc and am not getting any firewall popups. I tried disabling the firewall just to be sure it wasn't that but I still can't connect.
Any suggestions? -

There are some photos here.

None of them are of the pic Torak used for his avatar, but that's most definately the guy in question.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm afraid I have to disagree. I remember his avatar quite vividly, and I cannot say that this guy is the one in Torak's avatar at all. He has the beard, yes, though not really the hair, however his face is completely different from what I remember. I could be wrong, of course, but I'm more sure about this than I am when I state things as facts most of the time.
[/ QUOTE ]
I miss MZZ_Torak too. And yeah, that's not him. Just outta curiosity I googled and found him on Steam.
This is him. -

The hideously goof grin, fro instance, doesn't make the character look like he smiles a lot, it makes him look like he's a braindead idiot.

Det. Becktrees in KR with his skinny body and gigantic head and that creepy smile. *shudder* -
Oh.. too many to pick just one. And since most didn't follow the rules..
Psychedelic - Illusion/Empathy - my first toon but never got into him. I still have him because I like the name and concept. Maybe someday.
Mind-Flux - Illusion/Kinetics (had to use the 'l' to make it legal :P)
Razzle-Dazzle - Illusion/Storm
Wizard of Odd - DDD
Zomboni - Zombie Ice/Cold Corruptor
Mardi Gras Madness - DB/Willpower Scrapper
Mental Crisis - Mind/Psi Dominator
Just to name a few.

How about making 2 shirts available?
Shirt 1 would have 1st Place on the front with 3rd place on the back.
Shirt 2 would have 2nd Place on the front with 3rd place on the back.
[/ QUOTE ]
I would definitely buy a Shirt 2. Only because I don't like the coloring of the winning graphic, but I do like the graphic.

My thoughts, exactly. -
The pan up gives it a nice menacing feel. Keep it up!

What does pohsyb mean?

And why is it misspelled in his avatar? That's been bugging me for the longest time.

I just want to know who kidnapped NCSoft's marketing team and got one that was willing to make a decent video and had to involve spending at least a little money to do it. If 30 seconds spots of this with the phrase about touching his awesome button aren't on Heroes, or even just the Heroes web site for their video replay of the show, then it's a huge missed opportunity.

Especially with the new retail box coming out in April. -
Hello Sexy Jay!
I searched but didn't see this mentioned anywhere, although I could've missed it.
Something I've noticed about trenchcoats on females has been bugging the crap outta me lately. If your standing right next to a female toon in a trenchcoat it looks fine. But if you move just a few feet back.. or even just your view back a bit, the 'cape' part of the coat pops out straight out at the top then it curves to hang, instead of hanging down as it should. It makes it look like they have an invisible bustle (or big invisible butt) sticking out under their coat. It looks awful... not natural at all. It does the same on male toons but only slightly so it's not all that noticeable. I don't think I'll be using them with them looking like that. -
[ QUOTE ]
Also, has something been done to the geometry of female faces? I was tinkering around with hairstyles and all the short haircuts made my character look like a drag queen. She used to have a soft, round face. Now, no matter what I do, her face looks incredibly broad/square. Even the Thin scaling looks masculine!
[/ QUOTE ]
I've noticed this as well. There is definitely something wrong with the scaling and proportion of the faces that no amount of fiddling with the sliders seems to fix. There used to be quite a number of the female faces that were quite attractive but now only one or two look 'decent' but even after adjusting them they are still too angular.
And count my vote in for adding the old hair styles back in. I haven't really taken a good look at the new ones yet but I just don't understand why it was thought they needed to be changed in the first place. They looked fine like they were and there certainly wasn't any complaints about them that I ever saw. If there were, they were definitely no comparison to the complaints about the new ones. -

2007 has three Issues planned for it, one near Q1/Q2, one for the summer, and one for the end of the year.
[/ QUOTE ]
OK, then. January 1st, June 21st and December 31st. We'll be waiting with complaints at the ready should any of these dates slip!
[/ QUOTE ]
Umm... near Q1/Q2 would be near the end of April/beginning of May, and the second one will more likely be in August not June. That's if you use every 4 months as a rule.
You may want to adjust your complaint calendar a bit. -

Also, in regards to the females in silver...I hadn't thought of how the new "moon gravity physics effect" would be applied to the jigglies...There'd be alot of auto-logouts due to afk...

What about the damage Ice Arrow is supposed to do, as stated in the description? Will that be added or will the description be changed?
