Quote:One other thing: the standard version can be used from level 10 up. The catalyzed version, while offering greater bonuses, can only be used at level 50.The recharge portion of the ATO procs is an enhancement, not a proc itself.
And, as mentioned, the Scrapper crit bonus is a global buff. Once you slot the ATO, you'll notice a pink Hasten icon as a constant buff. If you catalyze it, it turns into a Darkest Night icon, and offers a better chance to crit and more recharge from the enhancement. -
Just an FYI guys, you can actually get both Deadly Combatant and Dignified Combatant in the same run.
After making your choice and leaving the mission, you'll have to go talk to Graham Easton to actually finish the mission.
If you simply abandon the mission, you'll be able to immediately pick it up again and start over from the "search warehouse" portion of it.
I grabbed both badges within maybe 10 minutes. -
Sorry, I just really needed to share.
I had given up on this badge because I didn't want to take the time to PVP or deal with another account. But the itch for badges finally won out last month so I created a free account and leveled two villains up to 15 and headed out to Bloody Bay.
And today, after many boring, grindy hours in the waters of BB, I've finally gotten my Longbow Warden 2 and Disruptor badges! -
Quote:I wasn't aware that it was doing that on Scrappers. That's not cool and something that I know we complained about possibly having to do back in beta while testing. It did for my EA scrapper. Why I shelved it. Is a stealth really needed, or all that important? No, not really. But when I have a stealth, I don't want to have to detoggle my mez protection just to make it work as intended. :/
Damnit. you're gonna make me get off my lazy @ss and update that issues list now. -
Quote:End game for people that go this route, yes, you can find lots of routes for end recovery, not that you actually need to do that since EA has boatloads of end recovery in-set. Between the power EA and Energize, you really don't need to go out of your way in these manners to deal with the blue bar.The extra end redux isn't necessary end-game. Set slotting, Conserve Power, PerfShifter IOs, Numina, etc. take care of your end bar. I'm not sure what you meant by least interruption in attack chain but Energize's cast time (1.17s) ranks in the middle between Reconstruction (0.73s) and Healing Flames (1.5s). Calling something not awesome =/= bad.
I only mentioned cast time because to get the greatest effect from the powers, you'll cast Recon twice per minute, Healing Flames 3 times and Energize only once. 1.17 < 1.46 << 4.5 I was just trying to say that perhaps not having to click the power as often as the others is a nice thing.
Quote:I was just fighting the notion that it's the best secondary for scrappers. So you're right, EA isn't some godlike set like OP and some others seem to want to portray it as.
We're both on the middle ground here but you're coming off as if you're going out of your way to be negative and downplay everything being said in favor of the set, that's all. -
It's doing this on a Scrapper? I couldn't tell when I tested on my Brute because Fury breaks Stealth all the time.
-
Quote:I'm going to simplify the numbers a little bit to make this clearer. The click heal is not amazing. Reconstruction recharges in half the time and Healing Flames in a third.
When slotted:Code:hp% / minute Other effects Recon 100% 15% res to Toxic H.Flames 150% 15% res to Toxic Energize 50% (+25%) 60% end redux
EA isn't some godlike set. But it's not as crappy as you and others seem to want to portray it. -
I'm surprised no one mentioned that you can occasionally get out of Overload without really getting hit by the crash.
There have been plenty of times where a well timed use of Energy Absorption as you crash grants end and prevents toggle crashing. I've done this on accident even and failed to notice that Overload even crashed. -
/em popcorn.
This really takes me back.
It's also my experience that Regen is fine in the end-game. I haven't felt weaker on it than any other melee set I've run through the trials. The trials are very bursty which is a major weakness for Regen, but the insane buffs getting flung around, especially during the main fights add all sorts of defense and resistance that helps.
Leveling has been helped with the addition of the debuff resistance. In an SO only world, it's just as tough for the DEF sets to do crazy things as it is for regen.
Any IO problems are endemic to IOs and not Regen, per se. -
DM/EA is a great combo. The heal and tohit debuffs of DM really help alot.
-
I forget, how often can you defeat another character and have it count for rep?
If I dual box or fight a friend, how fast can we kill one another? -
During the recent Spider-Island story where his spider-sense was disabled, Shang Chi taught Spidey kung fu which should help. But yeah, he'll still have to lose.
-
Is that a picture of the funeral or an advertisement for all the new costume sets?

oh, and I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but the accent colors and crystals glow on all the pieces except for the robotic arm3 pieces. No glowing there.
Also, another chest detail option with more crystals would have been nice! -
Quote:Just to list them:yeah, the fire and ice are handled as textures on most parts.
Face: 2 separate pieces
hat: 2 separate pieces
Robotic Arm 3: 3 separate pieces (fire, ice, crystal)
chest: 2 separate pieces
pants: 2 separate pieces
glove 1: flat, 2 textures
glove 2: padded, 2 textures
glove 3: padded crystal, 2 textures
shoulders 1: basic, 2 textures
shoulders 2: crystals sticking out of basic, 2 textures
boot 1: flat, 2 textures
boot 2: padded, 2 textures
boot 3: padded crystal, 2 textures
belt: 1 piece, 2 textures
chest detail: 1 piece, 2 textures -
Quote:yeah, the fire and ice are handled as textures on a few parts. So, for instance (though I don't know the exact names), Fire Boots 2 and Ice Boots 2 are effectively identical (or at least darn close)? The Robotic Arm 3 pieces are all entirely separate.
boot 1: flat boot
boot 2: knee pad
boot 3: crystal knee pad
all of those can have a fire texture or an ice one. -
Quote:They can be used on both, including the arm.I dig the fact file pics, but why are some parts showing up in both? I have no idea whether it's Fire or Ice that comes with the crystalline parts.
One point buys all the fire stuff, another buys the ice stuff.
the third point buys the arms, weapons, wings, tail, belt, chest detail. These are usable with all the other parts.
Oh, and the helmet looks like crap. The rest look pretty good. -
Quote:Rifles, pistols, bows...
And even you ignored ranged weapons.
The post I replied to specifically mentioned melee weapons and that's what I wanted to talk about.
but just for you,

My apologies for any inaccuracies -
Quote:Shield already has a Fire and Ice option that are similar to what is in this new pack. Why no Fire bow?
Why no Ice Axe?
Why no flame like shield?
Please include a costum piece for each melee weapon, and those that fit the theme.
The other melee weapons are not being represented well. Broadsword, Dual Blades and Mace have a lot of options. Axe is lagging and Katana and Claws get the least options. Even when completely obvious opportunities are available, they aren't taken.
Code:Broad Dual Katana Mace Axe Claws Shield Martial Arts YES YES YES NO NO NO NO Mutant YES YES NO NO NO NO NO Rikti YES YES YES NO YES NO NO Vanguard YES YES YES NO YES YES YES Rularuu YES YES YES YES YES YES YES Valkyrie YES YES NO NO NO NO NO Roman YES NO NO NO YES NO YES Celestial YES YES NO YES YES NO NO Barbarian YES NO NO YES YES NO NO Fire/Ice YES YES? For crying out loud, you made these things:
And neglected to make a Mutant Claw option. Come on!
As a Claws Fanboy, I'm feeling very ignored. -
Aha!
I did Kuzmin's arc and then some of the others are working now.
Perhaps they could reorder the arcs, especially in the 1-14 range so that Kuzmin's is at the top of the list, with the others in order below. -
I hope this fixes the Open GL error code 8 that's been crashing me for months now.
-
Anyone else seeing this?
I just changed to Villain to run the new lowbie arcs from i21 and none of them work. I can't even start the arc at all in Ouro.
[edit]
Aggelakis's suggestion was helpful, but didn't fix the problem entirely. There are many arcs that are not opening for me, some new and some old. Here's a list.
When I click on these from the list, they will not expand to show me the contact picture and description.

Wow, nice thread. Good to see that people still think about this stuff.
Since I'm so late to the party, naturally I will throw in my own ridiculous idea.
I like the berserk thing. I like the burst damage thing. I like the AoE thing.
So make a click power, 20s duration, 180s recharge.
Mobs within a 10ft radius at the time of the click take an extra shot of Crit from your attacks for the 20s of the power.
You do 2x normal damage on that mob for 20s, with crits putting you at 3x damage.
Cap it at 10 targets.
(btw, if anyone knows how to get Synapse and Black Scorpion to respond to PMs, let me know. They've yet to acknowledge the existence of the Issues List, which is one of the reasons I've been so damn lazy about it) -
Is there a way to do this with the new launcher? I haven't tried it. It was pretty simple with the old one.
-
I've done the DM/EA brute and it works very well together. The changes on test only helped this combo out.
AoE is light but at the higher levels there are plenty of pool and ap/pp options.
