Actually, I should have compared the stalker version of focus, and I accidentally used the scrapper number. In fact, the stalker version of focus has only 9% less dpa than the blaster version of power burst, which is substantially higher than the corruptor version.

Funny you should bring up criticals, though. Because you're right: stalkers *are* balanced around the alpha strike potential of criticals. Which makes the fact that focus is good enough that the stalker version even without criticals is more than a match for the nearest blaster analog at least a little eyebrow raising.

Arcana, you of all people understand that DPA is not explicitly balanced for. Honestly, this observation of focus v. power burst really isn't that suprising given what we know. Maybe novel considering that it might not have been looked at previously, but suprising? Naw. -

Alright, people PM'd me to tell me that the old link broke, so I had to search around for the actual file. I finally found it and reuploaded the file.
It's on a free storage site, so I imagine this is going to happen periodically. When it does, PM me and I will rehost and give a new link.
Also, there are two new sheets. One sheet includes the original version of my regen calculator. It's messy and there is a new version for each issue since Regen changed in every damn issue for a year and a half.

Unyielding was originally Unyielding Stance and it had no -DEF component. It did, however, make you immobile. This was incredibly unpopular and it was decided to remove that penalty. At that point, the -DEF was added to replace the Immobilize penalty.

Reconstruction is a base 25% heal every 60s. slotted like Mike has it, with 3 recharge and 3 heals, it is a 49% heal every 31 seconds. Mike's nuimbers are slightly off.
Moment of Glory. Mike's numbers are way off. You used a hero planner, didn't you, Mike?
the base resists are 71.25% on MoG. 1 training enhancement would cap your resists. You're wasting slots. and, imo, a power choice. -

ok, Ive tested this numerous times, MoG ends BEFORE the warning timer even starts blinking. All the other tier 9 powers are working fine though. Devs, pls fix this, MoG already has enough trouble as it is.

Pall44, could you clarify what exactly you are seeing? Are you saying that the defense for the power goes away before the icon does? I tested the -regen stuff and that all lines up with the icon blinking perfectly. -
it was pretty clear that "defensive" was not implied to mean "DEFENSE" when he said that. The correct comparsion is still between Tier 9 powers available to Melee ATs.
and yes, Self-Rez T-9s have their own special level of hate that is entirely different from the hate that people have for MoG. -

what issues? Ice is a darn good tank now. The only problem I've ever heard a stalker having in PvE is that they don't synergize well with teams.
PvP should not be a balancer because eventually, you're going to have to say to a bunch of people that it's okay if they have problems in one part of the game because they are really good in different part of the game.... that they have no interest in playing.
And there's no nee to debate the merits of MoG in pve. That horse is a bloody pulp at this point. I'll just end by saying that PvP should not be used to balance PvE and in this particular case, MoG, it can't.
edit: OH, and SuperSilver, MoG did NOT have Psy def put back in. -

you guys ever think that scrappers were a last minute addition to the game? so much of what we started out as felt like leftovers, you know? there are a couple unique sets but the rest feel rushed.
Spines and MA have that unique feel. not really tankish
SR and Regen also feel that way.
it's like they had these 4 sets and then said "great, now what? umm...." and they didn't have the time for anything really new, so then they just stole stuff from tanks.
da - just feels like a tank.
broadsword - big slow, tankery feel. it would fit perfectly next to Axe.
dm - perfect match for da.
and then, the bottom of the barrel, the clones.
katana - gee, lets just take 20% of broadsword away, we'll evetually give it its own animations
claws - lets fudge around with spines a bit. don't worry if the numbers aren't right, they'll still want to be wolverine.

it's gotta be a bug. 5 bucks they didn't realize that Nigh Indestructible comes after Indestructible. They probably think that they flagged the 1 million damage badge.

Hi there. I've made a simple calculator ** for people who want to see how their health regen looks based on what regen powers they have taken. It's all presented graphically and requires very little knowledge of how the game works. This is an excel spreadsheet so you do need a program capable of reading it.
While this is primarily intended for those with access to Regen as a secondary, other people can also get some use of it as it contains the numbers for Health from the fitness pool and Aid Self from the medicine pool. Also, if you would like to see how Empathy's Regen Aura would affect you, just 3 slot Instant Healing and include it. Numerically, IH with 3 heals equals Regen Aura with 3 heals.
the helpful data tab contains a table with the values of each ATs HP at every level.
It is a simple calculator, so there are some limitations. While you can specify what level enhancements you are using, you can not do it on an indivual power or slot basis. I felt that with the way ED works and how little benefit there is to actually combining SOs, this wasn't a feature that was necessary. Plus, and most importantly, it would have been a pain in the butt to do and I didn't want to take the time.
So, here you go, I hope it's easy to use and helps you place slots and pick powers.

because regen is the only powerset in the game that can't get full use out of SOs in some powers.
actually, fully slotted IH would be 1560%. add 147% from FH, 78% from health, what would be 292% from Int, and you've have 2077%. That's still a full 1000 percent regen away from our cap. You'd still need an Emp Def to cap out. and even then, we're talking 90 seconds at a time.
plus, considering that Regen Aura slotts out to where IH slots out right now (1000) AND recharges 150s faster, i think it's only fair we get more actual regen for ourselves considering the recharge and 90s duration. -
