Maybe this weekend, I know its XP weekend but it would mean a lot of people will be around and a couple hours break from the grind might be good. Let me know here or on FS if you're interested.))

I as well like Placate + AS. Mainly because out the gate 3 dmg and 3 acc in AS more often than not will land. The only issue is it's speed, it's by no means fast as opposed to the other chains you could use but sometimes it's a good lead up to or follow up of a normal chain.
Also kind of new with Kinetic but what's BS stand for in that chain you listed Brand? -
One of my blasters is a Dual Pistols / Mental Mastery.
A Seer project, where the idea is to put a Seer on the front lines as opposed to Praetoria's Minority Report-concept. He doesn't read minds, I RP his mind-prob-ish powers as more of using telekinetics to turn the target's body against themselves for a limited amount of time.
I use This theme as inspirational material. -
We'll have to do this more too. Lets bring life to Studio 55. It's small enough to keep people who want to get involved but are too shy enough space and room yet close to people they can associate with.

Quote:Gemini Park is in Galaxy City. What does it say about me that I have no idea where Gemini Park is? Though I have the suspicion it's somewhere in Praetoria, I'm not willing to bet money on that.

So the Formspring event wont be today (Friday) but tomorrow? o.O -
No love for BS
What is this, I don't even...

Sorry for the necro'ing but anybody feel like taking a stab at this combination?

What annoys me about Nin is lack of Knock Back protection from the get go. Unlike WP which with it's Indomitable Will, protects you from holds and knock backs; Nin's variant does not.

5pm PST? That's going to suck, I'll see if I can actually call out Saturday tomorrow but I dunno.

I have found one minor issue with Burst though in that it's picky with the terrain you're on.
-
Sounds about right. I'm still a newb with MIDs stuff and I haven't even mastered IO specing. I just feel Burst so far is my favorite but that's because I never played an E/x or Claws Stalker past level ten. xD

Quote:No absolutely not! What do you think this is, an intelligent discussion Psh.Shouldn't Lilah's cool wedding be the focal point of the discussion? Lets focus on the happy couple to be!
Also on a completely different note, Enerjack settled for a tux top but not the whole thing! He's very uncomfortable! -

Quote:Again, I never felt this way and I never felt like other teammates felt this way. The difference is the systematic elimination a stalker has and the ability to be probably the best CC (Crowd Control) individual in the game out of the melee archtypes due to Hide + AS + Placate + Hide. But that's just because my playstyle is a little more along the lines of letting the scrappers and tanks due most of the distraction and tank-taunting while I'm behind the back lines moving from target to target.Well, I have to say that a Stalker is primarily a solo-oriented AT. That's really been its weakness, while a Stalker can be very powerful stalking through a mission alone, in a team it is assumed that "there's nothing a Stalker can do that a Scrapper can't do better". Even with the revamp that hasn't changed -- except for the "better" part. On a team a Stalker now feels much like a Scrapper with a few extra party favors.
Quote:KM seems to have a much more "solid" set up, and from what i've seen of the animations, has the 'feel' I'm looking for.. just hoping Burst is enough AoE to keep me from getting bored.
The best comparison of Burst is Dragon's Tail. It's a knock down but it also allows you to assassin-crit every time it lands when hidden as opposed to random change. It's a nice PBAoE CC that can distract surrounding targets. -
Quote:Yup. I think that's the issue. If by going back and changing one set it'd make the others a little more inferior. But it'd be relatively simple in a months time to flesh it out for the other sets. Disembowl doing a 360 AoE effect following successful Headsplitter (mind you it too is PBAoE which could be the influence against such a change) would be neat.Although it occurs to me if the devs wanted to be creative, they could have had the "Crit" for Stalkers cause a follow up attack to do an AoE "splash" damage. That would have taken care of the AoE issue. OTOH, Broadsword still lacks Whirling Sword, Dark Melee still lacks Dark Consumption and Soul Drain, Energy Melee still lacks Whirling Hands, and Ninja Blade The Lotus Drops. So if MA gets AoE damage, all those sets will have to get it too.

Running a KM/Nin right now and I do love KM but find it missing a lot. More so than I had with DB back when it first came out.
That's my only gripe about it, makes me wish that you didn't lose energy upon each successful hit because you end up wasting so much just from missing; forcing you to drop all your toggles.
As for PVE availability. There's only a few instances I've found where a stalker's specific build was entirely dependent on what you're fighting (IE: Apex TF vs Battle Maiden) such as the ITF where foes gain a huge To-Hit bonus and damage boost. Otherwise the class is 98% dependent on the play style. Time the placates, heals, Panic-Power (Tier 9) and you're going to do fine as long as you map out the conflict before rushing right in.
Yup, I originally thought it was kind of corny... a little.... fruity. But playing around with it, it's actually pretty good. Those disorients can save your rear quite a bit not to mention having Burst which crits under hide every time. Burst is so fun, doing Vincent Ross's arch when you got the invincibility Perk and slaughtering 200 chain, I spammed the crap out of Burst and it was taking them out left and right.
You also get Focused Burst, though haven't been able to get it on my stalker yet so I don't know if it crits all the time under hide influence as well. But it's a ranged attack. Kind of short ranged, like Power Burst but High damage and fairly effective.
Last but not least, the Assassin Strike looks awesome. It's a Hadouken at melee. -
If you spec out with Lucks wouldn't that make Hasten kind of pointless? Just curious as a random question.
-
I honestly wouldn't mind as long as we could choose the dual/left hand held weapons animation (IE: Having Katana out will cause both arms to be spread out at the sides) to where both arms are sticking strait out as opposed to the one.

Quote:Nah no worries, the groom apparently was chosen. :PWhy is it that I can't help but think that this is a trap, and some poor guy that turns up is going to find himself in a tux and standing in front of the altar?
So it's Saturday then right? Nurse White keeps confuzzling meh D: -
Quote:The problem I have with this statement and others made like it is, it works great in theory but fails in practice. It's a business, someone who has been gone for four years could come back during a particular event (say the launch of GR) and thus pay for a certain amount of time of their choosing. Which increases NCSoft's revenue for that period. To me this whole thing isn't about creativity it's about keeping the game fresh and alive for the folks who are giving it the funding to keep growing.
Now should they not, they're not losing anything either (not over inactive accounts and names anyways, it's fractional compared to a massive process of canceled accounts). The game has been doing fine through the years with this process going, this is why I initially disagree on the motion, because I don't think it'll impact the game any greater than say, five hundred people picking up the game and starting an account. And we clearly see that they aren't losing money by keeping these names around nor will they get a boost in revenues for freeing them up. The only way to do that would be if you were willing to have a claimed name from an inactive account, would be to pay another $15.99 (or some percentage of that) for the other persons account. Which would be silly. -
I dunno, you keep saying that but his posts are reiterating his opinion on the subject. He's been on topic, he's merely asking for proof that it'll help as opposed to damage or do nothing. That which nobody has been able to prove beyond cosmetics: "I like that name but it's taken, I want it and they're not around."
-
I personally blame AMVs and game tributes myself.
-
Eh that's all fine and dandy but an opinion at best. Most I can agree with but things such as secrete identities and such, the worry that someone will metagame, kind of depends on what lot you hang out with. My Shepard character is in that bucket, yet everyone I've RPed with on a serious session have asked questions first in OOC to get a better feel. Personally bios that tell me all about their character, I typically don't use that as knowledge for IC but more so OOC as it helps me RP from the perspective of a guy who'd know nothing; suffice to say I, and others I've met, attempt to play the part.
Also:
Quote:That's fine, you admit it which is perfectly legitimate. Me personally I love themesongs because they give you an idea of a scene that character may work best in. For example check out The Battle from Gladiator - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFpZPZ_g4Hw - now listening to that, just listening to it, I can see that entire battle scene play out. That to me is a successful theme. You have the scenery, the conflict, the action; all rolled up into a neat ball of awesomeness. :PIf Your Bio Contains: A themesong
Personally, themesongs don't tell me anything, but then, I'm not very well-versed in music. It's entirely possible someone will look at the line "TS: 'I hate Mondays' - The Thrashing Gnoberts" and go "Wow, I love that song! This seems like a character I'd like to RP with!". I have no idea.
