I didn't have the energy to comb through all 11 pages to see if anyone commented on this but I noticed this in the CC Winners Form Exibit B
CANADIAN RESIDENTS NOT FROM QUEBEC! To claim your prize, you must be able to answer the following question correctly:
12 x 10 + 4 = (please provide answer)
I had a good laugh which was then followed by confusion. Is this a Canadian thing? Why is there a math bonus question on the Winners Form? Someone explain this to me please because I am amused/confused and need an "OHhhhhh, THATS why!" moment...for closure. -
If you could make it so that Wentworths patrons who leave Hasten on auto could be fed to MM demons then two of my primary annoyances could be dealt with...and then my revenge would be complete... *wrings hands*

You made this possible, *sniff* Thank You! -
Quote:This chapps my PANCAKEPANCAKEPANCAKE. If DC's were uncommon this would not be an issue, however, they are common and it is a issue. It is frustrating to endure the laggy warehouse map only to get booted during the Bizarro-Babs fight. I never had a problem rejoining before. Is it a closed/open trial thing? Should I avoid open trials to work around this?I was on a league about to do Keyes when I crashed. Once I managed to reload I attempted to re-join but the instance could not be found.
'I know', I thought, ' I will use the queue system, mark myself as willing to join trials in progress and get in that way'.
Needless to say this didn't work and they finished with unclaimed spaces in the league -
Im going with "chips" and once they become obsolete they can be used for fertilizer...oh wait, that would make too much sense which would conflict with the current system of organized chaos. *Cough*basesalvage*Cough* Sorry had a chip stuck in my throat.

I totally agree with everything that has been said. It is almost as if there was no straightforward plan. They were doing fine with the shards, now we got 2 kinds of merits, threads, components, conversion rates for all of them. I dont mind the different components but they all have the same write up. No description about what Biomorphic Goo is, where it comes from, whether or not you should touch it....nothing. I got a kick out of reading salvage descriptions which at times could be funny or informative and they added to the game in some small way.
They need to slow their roll and take one whole issue and call it the repair issue and fix all the little things they have swept under the carpet the past 4 years because it's starting to form a noticable lump. -
Can only see this as a positive thing. The release of i19 pulled a large amount of potential present openers and WL hunters away from the holiday events. 19 has been a boon for the TF business though which on the flip side is killing anyone trying to level up. I think the winter event is one of the few places to find a mixed level team these days. I have picked up a few shards in the winter realm and during Rikti raids, I just cant seem to get Heavies to spawn with these small teams. There is so little interest in anything not directly shard related these days. Virtue is redlined but I never see anyone.

Anyone know the location of a police station in the Rogue Isles? Mercy is the only place I recall seeing any cops.

Quote:Yea, you could set it up so that you have to do a mission to get into witness protection to avoid the vendetta. Could you imagine the chaos if you had several vendettas going at once? Make it so they had no qualms about fighting each other over dibbs on your hide? Just turn the corner and theirs a gang war going on. Id love it...you would be cagey all the time wondering if you were gonna get jumped.I like the idea... but am opposed to an "opt in" option, say in the menu.
However, one could set up the system in such a way that it would be possible to avoid the "Vendetta" tagging you, but it would have to be an in-game reason. Maybe after you acquire a defeat badge a new "Contract Killer" enemy mob could spawn... if you kill him you skip the Vendetta, otherwise he reports back to the enemy group... and it is ON! -
Yea...that would take the pi$$ out of most of the whiners. Those of us hard rockers that dont mind getting our hair mussed up or a wrinkle in our spandex can feel like were really at war and not some social event. Thanks for the post!

I had an idea ive been chewing over for some time now. Its essentally an ambush system to keep players on their toes and to keep things lively. It could be tied into the defeat badges where the Hellions are not happy with the fact that you rubbed out 100 or so of their best and brightest and they hire a hit squad or squads that harass you from time to time until you take out the hit squad leader then they cancel their vendetta against you. It wouldnt have to happen with each badge you acru, maybe only the ones that have critters that are in your level range.
I could forsee lots of possible problems with this system namely the obligatory whine fest about how its too hard and how low level observers are getting ganked by passing mobs. im certain controls could be implemented to prevent random ganking...after all the vendetta should be focused on one person and perhaps his teamates. completing vendettas could award new defeat badges. It would be fun knowing that the Circle was gunning for you personally and could add to your personal lore. I have a character who has a grudge with Crey(who doesnt?)and the Countess personally.
Throw some ideas at me if you have any further thoughts or your much anticipated criticisms that I know the Doom cryers are just itching to spew forth. -
Quote:Ya, I couldnt wait to get the whole debt badge set either. I tried the whole mindset thing but I feel my Jedi skills are hampered by my ping. I mean I wanted to beat the guy up but he must have wanted it more. That and the fact that melee is not a defenders strong point conspired to kill me...repeatedly. I find sprint is useful though. My first fifty was an emp/dark defender that I soloed about 85% of her life. I did no babysitting except at hamidon raids where I was part of the heal-the-tank crew. It's in the mindset, not the powersets, how to best play a defender - or any AT for that matter. None can be pigeonholed.

Quote:Guess that was my point. I found the absurdity of attempting such a thing funny.Kind of off topic but your sig...
"Blasters: Four years of drawing aggro and running from your heals.
Scrappers: We die so that you dont have to!
Defenders: Ever try to solo with ice slick and brawl?
Controllers: I refuse to be your SB dealer.
Tanks: Huh? This shovel make my head look flat? "
Since when did Defenders have the ability to solo with ice slick and brawl..? -
Ill try not to step on anyones toes through their curly shoes Kit.

utting og ur ung eemed imple-it. (translation:Cutting off your tongue seemed simplest...) that phrase would be totally impossible without a tongue.

Your criticisms may have been valid but their delivery was "lofty". How hard was it to say "I feel you and I wish we could do some of that stuff too"? Nothing was ever accomplished by not trying. Now I may not know about cylinders and animations but it hardly makes me someone to be looked down upon. I apologize for the hotpocket remark. It was uncalled for and it is noble of you to look after your mother, I wish her well. I also apologize for my writing style as it tends to be creatively coarse. I did not intentionally look to incite a riot. (What is a flame fest anyway?) I just think the Developers need to give themselves more room to work.

Read a review that Champions online was small in scope. I havent seen any videos just a few still shots and I saw some costume similarities. I think they will have a long time before they catch up to Heroes. I enjoyed your assumption though and the fact that you felt insulted enough to defend the game. Congratulations on being the first of what I am sure will be a conga line of techie nay sayers. I loved that bit about the cylinder thingies. Total Sanskrit seriously.

I have been a skulking the forums for some time now and I almost never post. I have witnessed many good natured, well intentioned people shot full of holes and ridiculed for their lack of technical knowledge about game animation and worse yet, their grammar. In an era of acronym overkill brought about by nothing less than sloth I find it refreshing and noble when people take a stab at that troublesome and dated pastime known as grammar. My pet peeves aside I would like to bring to your attention what "isn't" possible. It is impossible to lick your own elbow. That being said I am sure a handful of you are hitting reply to recount your own elbow licking adventure or combing the web for a video link to some freak chick to which elbow licking is the very least of her abilities. All in an effort to debunk my belief in the elbow licking theory, if you were only so intrepid about game ideas and their proximity to the realm of possible. I am tired of the phrase "not within the current framework of the game" or NWTCFOTG for you nymtastic people. Even better is the phrase "The Devs will never go for it". Did it never occur to you that the reason the Devs wouldnt go for it is because they never thought of it? Do you not realize that we have rapidly outgrown this framework cage we have been in for the past 5 years? Do not think me ungrateful. I love this game. I just think it needs a bigger cage with an exercise wheel. Stop dwelling on the impossibilities and start pushing for them. Power proliferation and customization is great but long overdue. Switching sides is another great revelation that is also long overdue but is Going Rogue going to expand the realm of the possible other than power variety and a few badges? I want a jet, motorcycles and cars. I want one of those Ugos you see all the time with the thumping stereo. I want more interaction with my environment. I want to see a car banana when my giant character lands on the roof then be able to throw it at a Sorcerer. I want to be able to swim under water. I want five story robots to attack the city. I want a MECH that shoots rockets and peppers targets with bullets. I want to be able to pick people up and throw them through a storefront window. I want citizens who arent bipolar, alternating between strolling like a zombie or running around like a freak and I certainly dont like them pushing me around like Im on roller skates. Ill stop my Dennis Leary rant here before I really get going and leave it to the techies to pick apart. Before I go, ask yourself, is this cage big enough?

I would be all about some variety; punch, kick, head-butt, hell anything to make brawl more interesting. I almost never slot my brawl unless its with a knockdown proc. My shield scrapper knocked a possesed scientist out of the air before he could land a two fisted blow and I actually got a good laugh out of it. It doesn't take much to make me happy but I find minute details are very important to me. The new super strength animations offer some cool variety but as usual on assault rifle love. Did get a bit of gadget love though. Butt strike , gadget love...sounds like an all together different thread. Gonna get banned if I keep it up...Doh! there I go again! Gonna quit while i'm ahead.......dang it!
-
Is there a way to copy over the animation for the rifle butt strike that is used by longbow to players brawl power. The way shield bash alternates with kick on my shield/sword scrapper looks great. It would be cool if the same were possible with assault and pulse rifles.

Hear ,hear! Im not much for the sit down and shut up attitude either. A lot of us have invested time and money in this franchise and have been loyal despite past problems but these issues were always explained to us. This new closed mouth policy reeks of the Orwellian and I for one will have none of it. Explain yourselves and be quick about it! Fore as you can plainly see...we are all short on patience. In this time of recession im sure most of us could find another use for your monthly stipend.
[/ QUOTE ]Did you even read BaB's post at all? I hope the devs put you on ignore.
I'm no dev fanboy, but the explanation he provided is very logical and reasonable for me to accept.

Until BAB's spoke up I was pretty sure we were all on ignore. What he said was that everyone is doing their job whatever those jobs may be, he didnt know because he was busy doing his job. I also gathered that the bugs are too numerous to list. I think we are all aware of this. I always appreciate when someone with clout takes time out to talk about the issues they face and the steps that they have to take to keep the game rolling. That being said im not one for conjecture(dont bother looking it up Zul..It means a conclusion deduced by surmise or guesswork) which seems to be abundant on this thread. Which is my point, Its the only choice we have given the lack of explanation. If the sheep were happy eating grass I doubt this thread would be so long. I dont know what the people in the room down the hall are doing any more than BAB's does but he can knock on someones door and say "Have you read the forums lately?" I dont need a 5 paragraph answer. A simple "We know...were working on it and we'll have an answer for you in time." Dont plead the fifth(thats in reference to the fifth Amendment Zul, see "Bill of Rights") and expect an "Oh...ok. Sorry to have bothered you."
I am glad, however, that I got a rise out of you. It truly makes my day to know that my banal(youll have to look that one up Zul) comments forced you to realize that you have a voice and that you should never be afraid to speak up if you find that an answer is not to your satisfaction. If you are satisfied then by all means, eat the grass. As far as the Dev's putting me on ignore thats their choice. I dont believe any of them, with the exception of BAB's and Ex, bother reading the posts and it certainly wouldnt hurt my feelings if they did ignore me. Im not certain I would know the difference. Please also note that my interpretation of BAB's statement is just that and it is never my intention to put words in other peoples mouths. It was merely conjecture(there's that word again) on my part based on my interpretation of his statement. -
