Quote:When I said "I know the person number 1" and the first thing you say back is "but you started a thread" even after an earlier post saying I know the person and asked for a forward, it did come across like you were just attempting to troll by keep accusing me over and over. Sorry.Well, sorry for the misunderstanding I thought the infraction message was yours for starting the thread, I did miss the one message you explained a bit more clearly (for me, the last one was a bit confusing.)
However... you can clarify this without the "troll attempt" overreaction. -

The above is the important part. And from that, they gave an infraction to Jacen_Starsolo over there about being mean and rude to Andryah. I asked for the infraction to be forwarded to post here so people will see it had nothing to do with linking CoX forums. So I'm wondering how that rude rule applies to this specific post and what he put. Should TOR mods ask CoX mods what this threads OP name is so they can ban him there? Rude is not just a link to this thread. Rude would be putting some more comments like "Andryah is an a-clown that is full of ignorance and her ignorance knows no bounds."
The title of the thread some something like "TOR post gives laughter to others" or something like that. Clowns give laughter. Comedians give laughter. So it can mean many things. -
Quote:I am NOT the person who started the thread. This is my THIRD time saying that. I KNOW who did and he forwarded the infraction so I could post it here. Can you not read? But you started a thread with the sole goal of doing that.
How many times has this troll actually started threds just to burn a specific poster? Trolls tend to be good at playing by the rules yet keep up the trolling. That's what is so annoying about them.
Forbin started the thread here. I know who started the thread there. Yet you're here still trying to convince yourself I started the thread. Nice troll attempt. -
Quote:I said I know the person number 1.Well, if that is a rule in their forums and they didnt just make it up, then you did break it.
Better question is if they would have ignored the rule for other posters, but that's something you cant assume "yes" to, you must see it be ignored for it to be real concern.
And number 2, look at the Andryah's posting history. She is rude to people time and time again without any posts of her going away. She's a known troll over there. -

So it wasn't taken down because it linked here as the reason. Plus TOR forums is full of links to other game forums. -
Quote:I know the person who made that thread. Actually we met in this game and was in the same supergroup before he left. That's how I know he got infracted. And the reason for the infraction was not linking another forum. But being rude to another poster when all he did was link this thread here without being rude to that poster. I asked for forward of the infraction so I can post it here.Ya know I hadn't even thought of that, and you're probably right about that being what got the thread nuked. I retract my previous statement that it got nuked because the poster I "quoted" was probably a BW employee.
-
-
Person got infracted for posting it. If you look at the person in question posting history, it could be true of that poster being an undercover BW employee more than anyone else. I'm not saying she is but if anyone was that would be the person. lol

I tried to play another game and got time out errors so to see if it's my internet, I tried to power up CoX but got nothing. I looked at the status page to see all as 'Up" but also see last update about 10 days ago. I was so going to rip my ISP a new one before I saw that date thing. GW though went right in so at least I know it's the games and not the ISP.
-
I guess theOcho overlooked mine then because sent it to him before I posted about contacting him.
-
Quote:As mentioned by the OP and myself, already went that route and that route directed us in another direction. Thanks though.
-
I'm in the same boat. And I just PM'ed Moderator12 and he actually told me to speak to theOcho which I just sent off a PM to.
-
Just hearing about this so pardon me asking but is there a place we can see how many transfer tokens we have without trying to transfer?

There is a way to rotate the sayings too with keybinds and making it load the next one. So that way it mixes it up a bit too. Learned this from a clown ... seriously the guy was playing a tank that looked like a clown so he had some pretty funny stuff in his. If it was the same thing all the time, yes that would have gotten annoying a lot faster.
It helps on the Warshade to change forms, load powertray with form's powers, and with that clown's teachings added words too although I rarely play that shade. Format is in a file named nova1.txt:
NUMPAD4 "local I... feel... the... power!$$powexec_name Dark Nova$$goto_tray 4$$bind_load_file c:\Warshade\nova2.txt"
nova2.txt that becomes the new keybind to NUMPAD4 has a different local saying then loads nova3.txt file. The local puts it to the local channel and not team or zone or anything. And you will have to load the first one time to get the NUMPAD4 (or whatever you use) to get the ball started. And give the last file to reload the first to make the loop. -
Quote:Looking for the answer to this as well. I learned it's not -gr like the -cov did.
There should be a way to set the login screen with a command line switch. Anyone know what it is?
edit: Found it. switch is "-uiskin 2" without the quotes. It does nothing to the actual updater but the screen you get default to sign in on is the GR splash screen.

I was having overheating issue but most notably when playing CoX. Other games not as much. I cleaned off the thermal paste and now my idle temps are a good 10 degrees cel at idle.
Some people when putting on paste put on too much so be sure you're not overdoing the paste.
Last time I thinned it over the CPU myself but this time did the little dab will do way and let it spread itself. HTH
And found this thread doing a Google search for people who mentioned heating issues with CoX. -
I got one toon mapserved in Atlas. I tried to get back on that toon and kept getting a "still logging out message". So go to another toon and stuck on the load screen to Atlas. Other zones was not having this problem.

It's regular Monday morning maintenance.
The server status page has been flipping back and forth between an up-to-date version and a version from June 24th for a couple of weeks now. It's the June 24th version you're seeing right now that says the servers are up. Refreshing that page should bring up the accurate version eventually.

Dang. I thought they got through with it quickly and didn't pay attention to the date and time of last update on that page.
I had just updated my nVidia video driver and I was trying to be sure I wasn't getting the Windows 7-nVidia-CoX blackscreen still with the newest drivers. The last drivers worked fine on all games but CoX that I play but because of CoX had to not use them. -
Anyone else not able to log in now? Updater has the "connection #" thing. Bypass the updater gets to login screen but says unable to connect.
-
I'm surprised we have a long maintenance today but it seems to happen every Memorial Day just because it's Monday.
-
I'm not reading all these pages so it may have been mentioned before. But I can see the "marketers" going back and forth between sides buying/selling stuff. Some things are high selling on red side but worthless on blue and vice versa.
They may as well kill the inability to let heroes and villains trade in co-op areas because it will be effectively killed anyway.
And that thing someone posted about Posi saying they couldn't do power customization while at Cryptic. PRICELESS since word has it Champions Online will be doing it. So did the Cryptic crew basically say "Get your hands out of our pockets"? -
I reached the level 30 in 4 days then got hit with a message.
******
You are not playing the game as I want you to play it. You will be banned. Your character deleted. All your toons belong to me. -
I seem to lose 2 every morning as well.

Ceru, I have 3 arcs. Two of them I put time and imagination into them, the third I made a quick arc based on the Rikti Comm Officers being a Rikti recon team. It's a story but you know it's also that particular group of Rikti they love so much.
Guess what? The Rikti Recon arc has more votes than the other 2 combined. Not complaining but you're right about the farms. At least I don't send people off with a random string of letters and stuff. It's a real 3 mission arc about a Rikti recon team though. -
After playing some of the Dev's Choices we already have last night, I'm sort of glad we don't have more. Some of those were the bottom of the barrel arcs in the entire system. And if a dev thinks those were good arcs, that might explain some of the other issues with the game.
