Quote:And this is why everyone should eventually build their own build themselves, after playing and figuring out what works for them. So Thoran, you build your character the way you want to, we're here just to offer advice/opinions and such.I disagree with slotting Nova ST's at all personally. Gravity Well and Shadow Blast have a place on every build imo, and the shift to human form is always instant. I think the slots are best served on those powers, but if you're like AIB and you use Dwarf as your primary ST form, don't forget about taunting the mostly dead bosses at the end of a spawn back into melee range if they run away.
-
Dwarf is good for pounding on a solid target (like an AV), but frankly most of your time you aren't doing that. For mob to mob killing, I find it easier to have at least one strong nova ST attack for hitting bosses with--the mob doesn't all die at the same time, after all, and it's a waste to use only AoEs on a near death enemy or go through the whole process of shifting forms (by which time the boss will be dead from the rest of your team).

The OP seems to not want to answer the question of the server, but frankly it doesn't really matter. It's not a matter of servers, or trials having "problems." It's just a matter of bad players, and people making hyperbolic assumptions based off of something he/she may have seen once. Make a player note on the person that won't take what you want to bring and move on.
Quote:I don't see this at all. In fact, kheldians are arguably more useful than many other ATs on certain trials, like BAFs, due to pets and AoEs. And they are just as adept as other superteams at taking on just about any content in the game.Only AT that I can even see being avoided at all is Kheldians as they don't force multiply like widows/soldiers/trollers/MMs and have mediocre tanking and damage compared to everyone else. Even so the trials aren't even hard, bring anyone you want to just fill the team. -
I think that build could handle 0/x6. That said, I promised you a build, so here we go. This is essentially how my build was slotted back in the day, with a few small changes to reflect your build choices. Note the blank spots in Unchain Essence--that is where I would put the kheld ATO set, since it has better recharge/endurance values than positron. And the global bonus, of course, would go in ebon eye. You'll be happy to see that I didn't include Absolute Amazement (but I left the Soulbound Allegiance since you used it in the last build). Hopefully this helps give you ideas.

The resistance you're able to put together is nice...the defense isn't a lot, and won't help you much, but layered mitigation is better than putting all of your eggs in one basket. That said, your endurance is basically unsustainable, and you'll be mashing transference a LOT. I wouldn't even think about running tactics without Cardiac Core Paragon, myself.
So, with your preferences in mind, this is the direction I would take your build. Hope you like it.

Quote:Well sure, if that's your current build, it's no wonder you're having issues soloing. It's nowhere near complete. I wouldn't solo with a building with half as many empty slots, myself.Well, since the game is back up, this is my current build, Dwarf Mire is slotted with 5 pieces Kheldian Grace, Nova Bolt is slotted with the global enhancement.
<snipped build>
As you can see, it still needs quite some work, but my characters aren't what you would call rich...
If anyone could show me a tri-forming build that can do what i wanted to do (take out white x6 spawns (or higher ofc) with relative ease and actually finish a mission without dying) without delving into expensive purples and/or PVP-io's, you would have my eternal gratitude.
I can look for one of my old triform shade builds if you still need it when I get home, it's relatively cheap, and it worked for me. It DID have an absolute amazement and two pieces of soulbound allegiance (two of what are considered the cheaper purple sets), however. Stupefy and some frankenslotting can do in a pinch, I guess. -
Quote:Gravitic I use on mobs that have multiple bosses, or look like they will cause me trouble in general before the fight (before rushing in for eclipse/mire, usually). Otherwise, you can use it during a fight on specific enemy clusters that annoy you, just keep in mind your position and where they are likely to get pushed. What do you slot it with? I like to use Absolute Amazement on mine. That's because I've got no idea when to use them, I've got both Gravitic Emanation and Inky Aspect, but I feel that when I use GE I hit at most 1/3 of the mob, as for Inky Aspect, I've never seen it stun anyone...
As for Gravity Well, I find my playstyle has three general uses for it. My first targets are troublesome enemies, such as sappers/debuffers. I lock those down, my life is easier.
Second, I use it after eclipse/mire on a fresh mob to kill a single minion, whom I then use for pet/corpse exploding purposes.
Third (and I imagine this is applicable to human form builds only due to shapeshifting animation length), DPS. -
-
I'm pretty sure they did this a couple issues back and got rid of it. I'm not sure if it was because of bugs/annoyance, but there you go.
As for base editing, you can see your chatbox by simply hitting the enter button while working on it. Just drag the box afterwards to a convenient location, and you'll be able to edit/chat at the same time. -

Quote:Thanks. The Lore pets, the incarnates should I say, temps etc I feel aren't needed but does help to ram home a good time. I do believe that it can be done without them and with less defeats although there would be a greater time taken.
Unless you can find evidence of otherwise ya may as well consider it a first end of story. Gratz once again.
Most of those deaths were from the last mission IIRC, and out of those most of them were figuring out who should tank LR. The plan was for one of the PB's to do it (they can cap their resistances on their own, after all), but that didn't work out too well. Eventually I managed to pull it off with Speedy's help, but next time I imagine we'll have a better plan in mind. -
-
You run out of endurance in three moves? The second move being Eclipse? Yikes, dude.
People need to know your powers/build before they can tell you what your chain should be. -
Quote:I don't see you using Gravitic Emanation or Gravity Well anywhere in there? If you leave the mob free to attack you, that might be the problem.Offcourse I've read Dechs' MF-ing bible, and I've got the "more bodies" mantra stuck in my head, but even with the 85% ress to all I get from Eclipse my green bar depletes faster than i can "arrest" the enemies around me.
I run at +0/x6 no bosses and a "normal" fight goes like this for me:
-Wait for eclipse to recharge (about 15 seconds from perma, but working on that)
-Run in with shadow cloak and SS activated
-Find a spot where i can hit at least 6 enemies with eclipse, and use eclipse
-Human Mire -> Dwarf Mire -> Nova Detonation -> Nova Emanation -> Dwarf Mire -> ND -> NE, etc. till there's only 1 or 2 luits standing
- Dwarf ST attacks to take care of the last few
- Stygian return/Dark Extraction.
What am I doing wrong? I really want to like this toon, but being unable to survive for any lenght of time solo just plain sucks. -

Quote:Was wondering where you wereJust got home after a near 12 hour work day. Now I have to go lug gear to the studio for the next few hours, so needless to say I will be missing all of the alien-ness that I normally look forward to on a Friday.
Rest up, we'll see you next time.

Next week, more Freedom Phalanx. -

I've always likened it to the necromancer in Diablo 2, except tankier. I actually made a build once on one of those Dragon Age games (probably the second one) that I liked to call the Warshade build. It had heavy duty self protection spell(s), a damage aura, and the ability to target enemies with a bomb spell that would explode them upon death. It was a lot of fun.

Quote:THB (and Alien, I believe) is on Freedom, AIB is Protector (though technically Freedom at the moment), and Dechs is on Virtue. We will all, however, be on Freedom on March 24th.One last thing, where are most of the "big" shades located?(Please note these are only the ones i consider big based on their contributions to the Kheldian Forums and the knowledge they seem to have) Such as THB, AIB, Alien, and Dechs. I would really enjoy rolling a few games with you guys to see a bit better and understand a whole lot more.
