    If this means SGs can arm their members with a renewable supply of Blackwands and Stolen SMGs (even if it's just 10 shots at a time) I will be deliriously happy.

    The people complaining need to lighten up. CoH has five issues of content for you to play with; it's almost a finished game, for all intents and purposes (I say 'almost' because of the lack of 35-40 content to get people over the hump). It was known for a long time that I7 was going to be devoted primarily to completing the villain game.

    It's been four months because the bar is set higher. CoH just had to install the 40-50 content at first. Taking all its other updates into consideration, CoV has a lot more to add than just a few new zones and missions. The Patron Powers surely required a fair bit of development, as do the new villain power sets.

    Besides, if this were Everquest, you'd have had to PAY for six expansions by now.

    No, if this were Everquest 2...you'd have to pay for six expansion by now...AND the Devs would ignore you AND completely change the gameplay despite loud angry customers.
  2. I really don't think Defiance is useful....at all.
    I have used it maybe ONCE...for one attack...and that was it. Typically I never get low enough in health that it's really active to any degree....
  3. This game really is attractice for couples I guess.

    MY wife and I have around 10 alts..all of which play together and have inter-weaving stories btw
  4. My wife and I are CoH addicts. We've played many mmo's in the past. We are both major gamers..

    Most of the people in our SG are also couples. CoH is the biggest couple game i've ever played...I'm constantly meeting new couples in PUGS even!
  5. I'd rather see City of Retirees

    The game would take place in Florida...and you would have extensive choices of how many wrinkles you wanted your character to have...and how high their pants would be pulled up to their chest. You would have different shorts and sandles to choose from as well as a speedo.

    There would be a crafting part to the game...you would have to find teeth during missions to the store or walking around in order to craft dentures, because in one of the later missions you will have to try to eat solid food.

    There would be mini-games like bingo and "get up off the floor"

    I hear it's suppose to come out after City of Spies...
  6. I'll be staying with CoH for a very long time because I really like the direction the game is heading in. MY SG and the coalitions its with will be staying too.

    Most of the changes haven't effected me or my bazillion alts.

    There's also more people on the planet every day. You fail to make a valid point. Paragon City has turned into a "ghost town" in many aspects.

    The game does seem like a ghost town now that everyone is split between CoH and CoV, plus the little add in hazard zones which occasionally see use.

    I know that the server population bars don't show the same number of dots as they once did. Freedom used to be packed full, now it's rare to see another hero anywhere aside from a train station, gate, or a store in a zone.

    I don't even recall the last time someone got into an arguement with me over KS'ing. That was at one point fairly commonplace.

    I'd like to know how you are figuring all of this? Three servers are yellow every night. The server i'm on..Virtue...is always packed with people in CoH AND CoV. Atlas Plaza is just as busy as it always has been..maybe a bit more now...costume contests go on all through the evening.

    I've seen more activity in the last two months than I have in a long time.heh

  9. I think if you can't get your SG members to wear their SG costume..then maybe they are not cut out for an SG. I mean....I earned 3k prestige just last night doing a few missions...many people in my SG have around 10k now.

    Why are some AT's so much weaker than other AT's?

    IE..Super-reflex is MUCH much weaker in defense than Regen or any other defensive power..which leaves no incentive to use super-reflex.
  11. Honestly...the only comment I have for this particular power-set is the sound effect. Things like Sonic Shriek don't sound like a shriek. It sounds like two sounds already in the game mixed together. I'd like to see something along the lines of Black Canary from Justice League Unlimited (the tv show) only maybe toned down just a LITTLE so it doesn't become repetitive and annoying.

    But yeah...it was the first thing I noticed and STILL bugs me...the sound doesn't make it feel very "sonicy"

    I'd also like to see the bad guys respond accordingly...grabbing their ears with their palms and covering them as they appear to be in massive pain from the sonic attack.

    Sounds about right. The exploiters simply look for the next exploit. Most people
    aren't on the cookie-cutter edge of exploiting, so notice stuff little.

    Check the characters in my signature. Without exception, all of them, with issue 4,
    either stayed at the same power level or got slightly more powerful.

    It is true that some enemy mobs got better because they used their powers
    more often (Earth Thorn Casters, etc.) but I simply found myself adjusting and
    using new strategies.

    I also team (at least a duo) almost exclusively, so that might factor into part of
    it. "Guys, I have a 35+ CoT mission. Can I get some ranged help?" or the like.
    (Actually, at ~35 I *am* the ranged help :-) )

    I for one am looking forward to I5 and the various AT/powerset changes.

    Agreed...I have an alt for just about every AT...I havn't noticed any drop in their performance..some stayed where they were or got stronger.

    Honestly..I wouldn't mind it if things got tougher for us. I LOVE a challenge..that's why I play with massive mobs in a full group against purples and reds. I'm not rushing to 50 (17 alts..I'd say not) I want more of a challenge..and I can't wait to see how they improve that challenge.

  16. Wow, there's alot of whining in this thread.

    I'm so sick of hearing whiners complain that their blasters so weak he can't tank, etc..

    A blaster SHOULD NOT be a tank. A blaster relys on the tank to hold aggro so the blaster can deal damage from A DISTANCE.

    Seems like some of you have no idea how to play your character. I have a tech blaster who almost never dies...and we fight some really big mobs in a group. Why? Because as a blaster, it's my job to stay in the background and kill stuff from afar..getting heals and allowing the tank and scrappers to do their job.

    BLASTERS ARE NOT TANKS.
