Hmmm where to start I was in a sg which I left for numerous reasons a lot people of people may have already known or experienced themselves but I think the final straw when our favorite in game SG Leader/Villan came when he wanted all members on Teamspeak one day. He stated that all members must have all alts in the Sg with no villans, no personal sg's, and amongst all no playing with other folks outside of the SG or with, "Blacklisted" players What he called security threats. He went on to say that no members of the SG were to use the SG's resources like Teamspeak to power-level people's alts espicially villans in TF's such as the ITF. So as a result a lot of people quit including myself. From his point of view he kicked everyone that didn't agree.

Once again Lords Of War rocked this week we did a Hess tf and completed in 1:12 hr. Mobs didn't stand a chance against a mix of MM's, blasters, and Defenders, AV went down with no problem other than running away from the Army. Thanks again for coming out guys!! Next week will lvl 50 here tip missions/ scanners! All Levels welcomed.

We rocked Sister TF tonight and completed in 1:44 hrs, Av went down with no trouble at all especially with a full team of guns and 3 Merc MM's. We had our own private Army at our disposal, Lag was very minimum and it was a blast! Also @Amily had a mission team consisting of 7 gaining a couple levels tonight on the other LoW team, gratz to all. See everyone next week.

Both BMT and CU serve a purpose on Champion. There are other channels in game that you may be interested as well:
examples
TankHQ: Serves primary for Tanker Tuesdays but also questions about tanks. Open
TheMarket: Serves as questions and going rates for the current changes in the market. Open
SG/VG channels: for the obvious reasons. Invite only
Server channels: Server wide broadcasting ie, BMT and Champion United. Varies
And all others just look for all channels in "Search".
Open= can join manually
Invite only= by the SG/VG leader, Operator, or Leader
Varies= Combination of all of the above it just depends -
Doesn't mean you still cant run the toon, we'll see what shows up for LOW and we can possibly run a Sister lvl 20+ that's a little more attainable if a lvl 24 is too much. I know a lot of people made toons especially for this we'll try to meet everyone's level requirment.

My opinion strictly: basing a server community around global channels is unhealthy in many ways, as newcomers are not hooked up into them, and need to be in contact with somebody who takes the time to be inform them to get in. Even then, channels have limits. I still try to hit up the team search windows, but many bypass this for globals. A shortcoming of team forming functionality? Maybe. But the effort to use the plain search window can turn up new faces and introduce them to fun times. (This assumes civility and good communication during invites, of course.)
Hanging on to years old quarrels and not taking the time be be the best to people you come across (even when they act lousy) just makes things less palatable to newcomers. But I ain't a push or shove person, so that's probably my bias showing through.
My biased view just sees this place becoming very insular- it helps a lot when you talk to a passer-by you don't know and see if they want to team, invite a stranger looking for a group, or check politely with an unfilled team if they need a new member, then do your best to be useful. Being helpful in teaming (which is all about cooperative play anyways) just helps everybody involved have fun in a game that's all just about having fun anywise.
Lighten up folks, and please, please stop telling people go away. They may go, they may stay, but either way it makes their experience here just a bit worse.
*sigh* anywise. I'll be here. Soloing, grouping, being quiet. But helping random folks you come across can make a game that may be starting to feel old become fresh all over again.
I'll go on a little further and say the squabbling on threads isn't helping with the selling of, "Come to our server we have lot to offer and a lot of events happening everyday.". Looking from the outside it's the same folks making the same posts. The thread hijacking, snarky remarks, etc makes folks don't want to post on Champion server threads anymore and just observe, (notice the different threads and the replies, same people same story) except for the occassional congratulations on acheivements or happy birthdays. No wonder why when events are occuring some people are unaware or have questions becuase they shy away from Champion server thread.
So go ahead tell me gtfo or "These are the boards what do you expect" you'll just reinforce what i'm saying above. Sure constructive criticism is welcomed but imo sometimes folks will go over board. Especially coming from the Vets, sometimes it seems night and day with you guys. In channels very helpful on forums your showing a different face with your posts. -

First sg was "Easter Studio" I was new at the time and I was sent a pm to join and accepted. A small sg but lots of active players.
Second was Stryke-Force, (we've all heard this) I joined an SF team with scooter on it and he kept asking me to join with all the shinys' so I left Easter Studio and joined SF, (regret it to this day).
Finally created my current SG with rl wife after leaving SF after 6 months, (not kicked for the record) becuase we wanted access to our own bins.
I have toons in other Sg's as well to show support or team with on a regular basis.
Isn't Champion community a big SG with everyone with their own private Storage? -
