Mids: because forgetting your travel power while respeccing just ******* sucks.
It may not be a big deal now that respecs rain down from the heavens every day, but wasting a respec back in the day was a big deal. For that same wasting a respec because you picked up a crap power was just as bad. You know, back when there were 'bad' powers, not just lackluster ones. -
My energy/energy would just slightly edge out the DB/Nin

One Thousand Cuts at 49? Seems a little odd to leave a good cone attack till that late.

Well, you've got a pretty decent combo for what you're look for. Willpower is one of the best 'out of the box' sets in the game, with decent amounts of resistance, defense, regeneration, and even endurance recovery which makes it pretty survivable. Dual Blades is a set with good single target damage (good for dealing with bosses), and good aoe damage (good for dealing with large groups of enemies).
With Willpower you want almost every power, except maybe the last two. The self-rez can be nice if you don't want to hit the hospital, but not everyone likes using up a power pick on rez powers. Strength of Will can be very useful for helping you survive large alpha strikes, but some people feel tough enough without it.
Simplistic slotting advice for toggles 3*/1 endred. 3 SO's of whatever it does (resistance, defense, etc) will get you to the ED cap for that attribute. Pick up Quick Recovery asap and put 3 End Mod enhancements in it.
With Dual Blades you have the option of using combos and for those to work you need them to hit. So I'd recommend slotting 1-2 Accuracy SO's in each power. After that, probably 3 Damage, and either a recharge reduction or endurance reduction. Please note that you don't need to utilize the combos, although most people do. Blinding Feint (your buildup power) followed by the Attack Vitals combo is the high end attack chain for Dual Blades and combines single target and aoe attacks making it fairly nice.
You should be able to find some good guides both here, and in the scrapper/brute forums that go into detail on both sets. If I weren't in the middle of a mission with a team I'd throw more out there, but rest assured WP/DB is an excellent combo for what you want to do. -
This has nothing to do with teh healors discussion, but I'm getting real tired of taking crap from team leaders while playing my BS/Shield scrapper.
I didn't aggro that mob. Someone else did and I pulled aggro off of them to save their bacon.
Why do I keep dying? Because all you've got is a pair of WP/ tankers for holding aggro and I'm still pulling those +4 mobs off of them as though they weren't running RTTC, attacking, and using Taunt.
That's two straight teams with WP tankers that, in my estimation as a long time tanker, are doing a fine job of tanking and yet I'm still grabbing all the aggro. I don't mind, that scrapper is tough. I'm just tired of hearing about it like there's something I can do to make Shields have a crappier taunt aura.
Time to go back to soloing. -

Bah, I got Team Gaga.
Legend of the Seeker is actually an entertaining show if: you're not expecting the show to follow the books, cause it doesn't, not even close; you like cleavage, because apparently the costume department is a big fan of it; you like Mord Sith, the red-leather clad S&M dominatrix-style warrior women (of whom Charisma Carpenter is a member), you like SWORD FIGHTS involving Richard and the aforementioned cleavage brigade and Mord Sith. -
Looks very promising. And no need to apologize for the 'posterizing'. The Clockwork Cadaver can take whatever you throw at him.

Scrapper + Defender, defender buffing the scrapper into a crazy killing machine, even more than usual. I would recommend sets like Empathy or Kinetics for the fast pace that the scrapper would bring. Both provide +damage buffs, +recharge, and end recovery making them great for this kind of thing. They also move quickly with everything focused on team members rather than enemies or locations.
Tanker + Blaster, tank grabs aggro, blaster blows everything up.
Those would be the blueside combos I would really recommend. -
6-2 the final for Buffalo. Damn you to hell Vokoun!
-
He does seem like he's swatting a pesky fly rather than the crazy giant with the giant thorns bursting from his skin. A little too casual perhaps.
Still a great piece though. -

4-2 for Buffalo! Now I feel dirty for cheering for the Sabers.

So yeah, Jab has a 3 foot radius, whereas KO Blow has a 17 foot radius. Whether it goes off damage, recharge, or some combination of factors, I dunno.
17 seems to be the upper limit with KO Blow, Total Focus, Midnight Grasp, and Seismic Smash.
I still fondly remember the old punchvoke bug that treated all tanker attacks as aoe's, not ST attacks with an aoe taunt. Hitting 13 guys simultaneously with KO Blow was a thing of beauty. -
Basically. Harder hitting attacks get bigger aoe effects, so KO Blow will affect a sizable area. On the other hand, a quick recharging attack is useful for maintaining aggro since the tanker can just attack->tab and repeat. Both have their uses, although once you get actual aoe attacks, any gauntlet strategy is kinda pointless.

Hurl does basically the same damage as Haymaker, one of SS's heavy hitters. I have Hurl on my Inv/SS blanker and use it extensively. It's a lot of fun to use, if not the most efficient attack. The downsides to Hurl are the long, but insanely cool, animation (2.5s), and the fact that it does knockback. Great heaping piles of knockback.
-
The Air Burst set for Targeted AoE damage also offers a 2% knockback improvement for all powers as the first bonus. Can't find any other set with a bonus that improves knockback.

Hell, I've got two of those sets on my MA/Fire scrapper. Awesome set.

Quote:I see your villains, and raise you the Clockwork Cadaver! And one I would like to see more of is the Clockwork King. He is one of my favorite bad guys. How can one not like the steampunk look? In fact, the looks of two of my villains were Clockwork inspired...
Seriously, we need another low-level Task Force featuring the Clockwork King and Dr. Vahzilok. Two badass supervillains and Apex to set you on their trail.
And then all was right in the lowbie world. -
I'm actually running a Katana/Electric at level 24 right now. It's certainly a fun build. For leveling, I'd aim for Stamina at 20 as the setup uses an impressive amount of endurance early on.
Quote:He's also /Electric, a res set that counts on its heal from time to time. Always nice to have that up as often as possible. Also, going for SS, it's either Hasten or Flurry. You don't need Hasten, you're katana.
Other than that I don't have much to add, aside from what's been said. -
1. Quickwitted Quentin Quarry questioned Quebec's Quiz Queen's quadrilateral query. (Yes, this contest is closed, but a whole sentence with Q's took so long I might as well leave it in here)
2. 28
3. She glanced one last time at her family. They had begged her to stay. You can't trust the human, they told her. She heard their warnings, but she had to know if she was right, if what she felt for the man was love.
Whispering the words that would take away her mystical form, the young kitsune stepped into the radiant pool that would finish the spell. In a blinding flash, she fell to the floor unconscious.
They had left her on his doorstep. A young man they had hoped would look after their friend, sister, and daughter. It was not often they put faith into humans, and for good reason.
She had never told him the truth about her, about where she came from. When the child came he figured it out himself, but he couldn't handle it. The boy might not have possessed the powers inherent in her race, but he bore an unmistakable resemblance. A child of two races, of two worlds, he would be destined for greatness.
4. Did you see all those Q's? My brain hurts now.
