I'm thinking the enemy which can match one "blow for blow" is either an exact duplicate one's character, or some type of enemy / AV than can emulate the powers of the characters facing them / it.

Quick follow up here, to pursue the hijacking further:

• 50M received from Smite for New Player Council events
• New Asus EAH5858 vid card has replaced the faulty* 880GT (was even artefacting during post) and I'm back in Paragon City. Hide your badges.
• *Faulty card repaired by stripping and cleaning it, setting it up to bake at 385F for 9 minutes. After a 30 min. cool down it was remounted and set up in wife's PC. It has been working fine since last Friday.

I'd like to bring in my inv/em tanker but also have fire/dev, dm/regen, db/regen, da/db. My mélée preferrence is showing.

NOTE TO MENTORS:

It may be another few weeks before I can get a replacement graphics card so my ingame presence will be rare. If it does happen, please don't fault me for wanting to play instead of manage the group.

I will be back in regular action as quickly as I can.

Meanwhile, please continue to promote the project in low level areas and announce any new partnerships you already have or will start. Feel free to be as creative as you want in this. My suggestions in the social group threads are only examples.

This Mentor Project cannot work unless there is some sort of visibility extended in the lower level ranges of players, and this has to be undertaken by mentors on a regular basis.

As for the graphics card, I was told the offer I had been proposed (wicked deal on a BFG 285GTX OC) isn't going to work as they can no longer get the card.

Since my order had already been approved they proposed the same kind of rebate on another card (about 33% odd retail), but none of the other cards appeal to me.

I may find myself relying on the kids' PC playing in safemode whenever they're not using it, which means rarely, until I can replace it.

Since Real Life™ issues came up, that expense may have to be put on the back burner for a while longer.

I may have grab one of the other PCs to get in. I need to keep promoting/recruiting neophytes and start poking mentors about how their own promoting is going.

Also, if they've started partnerships we could get some sort of status report going.

Friday night might work out for a tentative return since the kids will be out until 10PM or so. Less crying when I commandeer their PCs then.
