Then is there any chance of the drop rates for lyso's and enzymes being reduced to better even out the "economy"?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Heck, I'd like an actualy "reward" screen to pick the right HammiO.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This was requested repeatedly when raiding was in it's "prime", but never got a response.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, maybe a compromise like Kong_Fuu suggested. Let us pick from a short randomly generated list of HO's. At the very least it would improve the odds of getting something usefull even if it wasn't the #1 thing you're looking for.
  2. Just imagine an all natural character (no lvl 14 travel power) with the following:

    Sprint 3x Microfilament
    Combat Jumping 3x Microfilament
    Swift 3x Run
    Hurdle 3x Jump

I'd love to see how fast and manuverable a character like that would be.
  3. Question, since Sprint can take both run and jump enhancements, if you slot it with Microfilament Exposure, will it boost both of them (+run & +jump)?

will Cedega run under OS X? i just returned a Dell laptop and am considering either a Sager 3790, or possibly a iBook. if Cedega can run CoH under OS X, i'm liable to go for the iBook

    [/ QUOTE ]

Nope, it won't run on PPC (I wish! My real computer is a Mac running Linux, heh). Wine/Cedega isn't really an emulator, but more of a runtime library that redirects Win32 api calls through libc (and whatever else, xlib and a bunch of other stuff probably). So it requires an x86 compatible CPU, as the code is still more or less executed natively rather than interpreted.

At least that's how I understand it. You may be able to use a real emulator such as Bochs or vmware or something to run a copy of windows and CoH on os10, but I have a feeling it would be godawful slow, and I don't think any of those emulators provide access to the 3d hardware.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ok, but Apple is switching to Intel chips. Now if they could just get Wine/Cedega to run under Mac/Intel systems, you could probably could play CoX on a Mac.

You get your 3rd battle drone at 18 not 12. And I would second the recomendation for taking swift at 16 instead of earlier. On my build I don't even take the fitness pool. Fearsome Stare can be a very good power. Use that then pick them off one at a time. Especially if you play with a stalker a lot.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'll agree with skipping the fitness pool, my necro/dark is and I don't really miss it (except it takes so much longer to get anywhere before 14). As for a travel power, I took Air Supeority and Flight. Believe me, with the number of runners I've had to deal with in missions, AS is good power to have. Especially if you can't get a tar patch on them when they run. Makes it real easy for your pets to keep up with them.

Heard a rumor that if you leave a teammate/pet on a destroyed turret it won't respawn. Can someone confirm?

    [/ QUOTE ]

They can respawn, I've seen it happen. The respawn seems to be at regular intervals. There is a trick I've learned to make soloing them easier. Find the turret farthest out and destroy it. Wait till it respawns then move in and destroy it and then rest of them. I haven't tried to figure out the respawn timer, but if you start right after it happens it's not to hard to solo. At least my brute and tank had no problems with it.

Also a good idea to find an out of the way firebase at off peak hours to decrease the chance of someone causing problems.
  7. Question, if you exemp down with someone and do the entire lower level arc from Veluta, can you get the souvenir?
  8. [ QUOTE ]

Takes 9, not 15 missions to get all 3 contacts (12 if you count the heists).

In the beta it took 5 newspaper missions to fill the broker bar. It was dropped to 3 when it went live.

You, Sheboygan, need to accept the responsibility for your failure to learn the details of this marketing promotion and stop trying to find someone else to blame.

This right here is ultimately where the problem started. Someone not reading the material that was freely available to all. It's an all to common problem where people start doing business with a company, but fail to read up on everything. Then they start crying when things didn't go the way they thought they should.

At my job, I deal with people like this every day. People who assumed they know how things work, only to be told that their wrong, and that the correct answer had already been made available to them.

Believe me, I spent the days between the beta ending and the head start reading and re-reading every post and instruction about getting the game installed and setup to start playing at 12:01 am cst. I wanted to make absolutely sure I had done everything correct, and then got the real suprise when I was able to get in 10 minutes early (jump started the head start).

For anyone interested there is a press release floating around here: http://www.gamingreport.com/article....e=&order=0
announcing that Alderac has acquired the rights to do a CoH CCG.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh.. my.. god.. What is next? CoH ring tones? A breackfast ceral? Statesman underwear?

    [/ QUOTE ]

How about COH mini's for the RPG? And some good ones for a change. I've seen some previous attempts by companies to make superhero mini's and they weren't very good. Makes me want to break out the green and try making my own.

I thought all the comments were well thought out and well stated. I, on the other hand, did not see something addressed that is currently ruing my gaming experience on COH. Just made lvl 38, my contacts are finished with me, and I am informed by more "experienced" players that I will not recieve any additional contacts until I hit lvl 40, over 2 million xp away. So basically I am forced to team up, or go do the sewer trial, or lumina tf, the former being one I can attempt to do on my own, but have no chance in hell of completing, the latter one where I have to team up. I would really love to see the "contact void" filled. Unless you feel like dropping the xp climb to something resembling other games on the market, where it doesn't take 700 hours to reach lvl 50. 446 hours logged with this lvl 38 hero, doing missions, along with tf's, not sitting around having contests or dancing in clubs. Alot of work that now seems like wasted effort.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The Hollows and Stirga Island solved part of that problem for characters up to lvl 30. I have one character that tried to do every mission from every contact so far, and has yet to clear all the mission from every contact from any single tier after lvl 10. Plus with the different TF's along the way, I have gone from 1-28 so far doing almost nothing but missions.

Hopefully they will add a danger zone contact group for the level 33-40 soon. My lvl 36 blaster has almost completed all the badge and story arc missions from her current tier and I really don't want to do trials and TF's over and over and over. Crey's Folly would be a good place for that.
