Will do. Keep an eye out for Square Woot ingame; I don't mind EXing down for task forces or general missions. So long as I'm not running trials or otherwise distracted, I'll be more than happy to help out!

Virtue's great! There's the very active RP community, some fantastic events like the weekly costume contest and Cape Radio-run stuff, and a strong PvE atmosphere. Like someone already mentioned you're probably not going to see much PvP action, but it sounds like that's not part of your required experience anyway.
Also, keep in mind that if you're planning on becoming a VIP come Freedom time, you'll get that tasty free transfer a month. So if for some reason you don't like Virtue you can always head elsewhere. Though I'm betting that you will! -
I want me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference
lol, j/k, I want laser eyes and insect control, so I never have to be afraid of spiders again. -
That looks pretty snazzy. Is it Beam Rifle only, or will AR users see the love?
-
Modified the ad so that it shows I'm looking for a supergroup as well; for my heroic main.
-
Heya Blue! I believe we did that Sister Psyche TF together. Do you remember a lawyer anti-hero named Opening Statement?

On occassion I've stumbled across people in Gemini Park in Galaxy City, the old old old RP stomping grounds. It seems to hold RPers there more frequently now that villains can become rogues and therefore gain access. It's definitely no Pocket D, but there's always a chance of stumbling across some.
I'm kind of in the same boat as you. Without a reliable SG/VG to participate with, my options are a bit limited. And it can be really hard to find one that you fit well with. Good luck to you! -
Haven't tried it, but I imagine it runs into the same wall as it does on scrappers. Too many things late game resist that sort of damage, and depending on your secondary the redraw can get to be annoying. I've got a 50 Dual Blades/Regen scrap, and that redraw drives me up a wall. If you were going to do a broadsword brute, I'd recommend a good passive secondary like Willpower that doesn't require a ton of in-combat clicks.

I did a build here at work. My goal was to get a decent set without using a ton of money. I'm pretty sure most've these except for Positron are fairly cheap, I have some of the more expensive pieces like Gambler's recharge sitting on alts. This build would be for soloing tip missions, with Ignite thrown in for groups/trials.
I'm not thrilled with the build, mostly because it feels like my last two powers are wasted because I couldn't spare the slots. Could anyone offer their advice for it? I'm not looking for an end-all be-all super character, just something to help bring AR/Dev into the range of playable.I'm planning on going Musculature for my Alpha, Ion for my Judgement, and...unsure for the others.

I'm a fan of Imgur, though I'm not sure if it gives you a lot of folder options.
-
Just spent past few minutes at work looking through. Some really great pieces, the character's a cutie.
-
I appreciate the offer Dechs, but Friday's my one day where I'm unavailable ingame.
I go straight from work to movie night with friends.

I went into the thread not even knowing Ice Armor wasn't available on Brutes, now I kinda wanna roll a tank just to try it. >.>
-
I'd say Ice Armor, if only to be unique. I see very few Ice Armor brutes out there. Not sure why, probably because its FX aren't the prettiest.
-
Hmm, if it's a matter of voices, I'd have to say the following:
Ghost Widow: Jennifer Hale
War Witch: Tara Strong
DJ Zero: Billy West
Back Alley Brawler: John DiMaggio
Romulus: Patrick Warburton -
Haven't heard back from VGs I applied to, or heard anything from this post. >.> Probably gonna end up just putting her in her own little SG for a convenient place to store salvage and do invention stuff.
-
I reworked my char last night to match the build. I didn't IO her out that much yet, still hoping to get some of the pricier recipes with merits or sheer dumb luck. Endurance was a huge, huge issue, so I'm definitely going to take the Ageless Destiny power, I think.
I can't imagine the character being very playable without IOs and Incarnate powers. It really reminded me of why I had stopped palying her so many years ago, because Stone Armor seems like it has so many negatives behind it. I want my status protection up before I land in the middle of a mob, but if I put it up before then, I go at a snail's pace. Endurance costs are through the roof with the multitude of toggles, and the best part is, they don't even defend that much. >.> -
I -think- it's a Maria Hill mission that gives you one of those alternate dimension maps chock full of level 50 Freakshow. It requires clicking on a glowie to complete, so you can easily reset it. Freakshow tend to be pretty easy, at least they used to be, not sure now with the addition of the Super Stunners.

I imagine that he behaves exactly like a real cat would, if they had the size and muscle to do so.
My cat is small yet still manages to bully me around.
"I'm gonna sit on your keyboard now."
"Uh, I'm trying to play a game, if you could mov-"
"Nope. Right here. Deal with it." -
Catbot gets his drive on in this Monday's comic:

You could probably emulate Jell-O with the slime aura! That's what I do with Chip; a brown slime aura looks like melting chocolate.
That build you just posted looks great! A lot more affordable. I was looking at that EPP in my initial build, and thought that those two powers would be a good fit for an endurance hog like stone. Thanks a ton!

From this discussion, I'm thinking that if I were to do Random Rare Recipe rolls with my merits, I'd be better off shooting for a tier lower than 50. Is that accurate?
-
I enjoy traps because of the versatility. The gadgets are neat, and your style is going to change whether you're soloing, TFing, or in a trial. Heck, I've been in Hami Raids where my sole job was 'keep the Hami tanker in range of regen.' The only truly waste of a power in Traps is Time Bomb, which has needed reworked since it was introduced, but doesn't seem like it'll ever get it.
One thing I'd say Traps has going for it in solo play is that the FFG gives you some status resistance. I'm not too familiar with Cold, but I think that's something it lacks.
